Maybe not for the initial approval of the petition, but I'd think you would get extra credit at the embassy stage. Prob not a big deal in a low fraud country like Canada, but I'd still send evidence that shows several trips if I had it.
OP, what we did was put a divider page at the end labeled 'proof of meeting in person'. In red pen, my fiancee wrote short descriptions at the top of each page, ex: "Boarding passes from (petitioner)'s visit to (benefifiary)'s family for Christmas 2014", or "hotel room receipt from joint holiday in Las Vegas", etc, and circled relevant information to help the adudicator to quickly find what we wanted them to look at.

Famous last words. Ultimately it's in the petitioner's hands to check and re check what advise the lawyer gives.
Many have trusted lawyers and failed. I hope you have a good one who has done this same circumstance with the NOID
and DNA before and who understands the Accra embassy and USCIS's strict policies in regards to NOID responses.
    Best wishes for an approval.

Right. Still don't understand why they refused to look at it. The woman gladly accepted everything we gave her. Ekene jokingly complained about us wanting to break her shoulders. Lol I guess every case is different. People were telling me all sorts of things about not side loading and front loading but I determined I was going to overwhelm them and it paid off. Lack of evidence form the beginning can bring curiously as well so I guess it is what it is. Circumstances can be different depending on the case. Thank you! ?
Review had been written so all my Ghanaian people's can check it out hopefully, I was able to help. Thank you all once again! ???. God bless you!

Congrats on the approval. Don't think I ever heard of a short interview at that Embassy.
Also interesting that you were able to present your evidence at the interview, I have heard of instances where they don't even look at that and just deny folks.

My dear, you have a more pressing problem then the immigration process right now. You need to figure out once and firmly if you believe your fiance. I see a few others have hinted towards it all being an unfortunate misunderstanding with a falsified application and nonexistent wife and children. Right now you should focus on what your heart tells you and really think about it. Is he a habitual liar? even small stuff? Does he seem genuine? What kind of character is he? Kind? Selfish? How does he treat you? ......If you decide that you trust him, then with all your strength stand by his side and fight. Have no more doubts once you make a decision. okay?! You will get through this and be together soon InshaAllah.

I agree with you. One visit wasn't enough. 6 months of meeting then the first visit, an engagement and marriage at the same time. I think that's the issue they had. There's still hope tho for the second go around. Your intentions to visit is a very good start.

I can't help but agree with both of you. There are always all kinds of rules and principles in place until you experience a rogue CO. The same could be true for an applicant who overstates his/her rights regarding this process. This is not about the concventional wisdom. The same tools (human intuition and discretion) that allows for a CO to be able to do his/her job better also allows them to be human, in understanding that sometimes, reevaluating our decisions might be the right thing to do. These tools, which may or may not be written down, cannot be one sided against the applicant all of the time. There are certainly exceptions.

Really interesting. Anytime I see a denial forum on VJ, I automatically assume it's Ghana. Then boom, very few with legitimate concerns I've seen people from other countries overcome. For Ghana, it seems your hairstyle that day could get you denied and application sent back to uscis. This is highly unusual!

anytime we come on here to vent our frustrations, people throw books and process at us. We get the process, but the disparities in enforcements are glaringly huge! This is about respect and common decency and again I urge all of you making excuses to go read the reviews. This is beyond the norm.

Extra scrutiny isn't the problem, and no I have never felt or said my husband is entitled because I'm American and he's married to me that they should just let him come, the problem is it's a game to the consular working in such embassy's that don't care how they treat you or talk to you, and when you have a bona fide relationship and they still ask for more proof and you provide it and they still wanna play games with a persons life because they don't like there job, or don't like the country they are in, or you google the co and she she has had a issue in the past of given out visas to people who weren't suppose to recieve them, how is this person allowed to still work for any embassy, and another co that is talking with the next co while she is suppose to be interviewing you, and making smart comments under her breath, and treating you like you don't exist! I understand the fraudsters have made it hard for everyone else, but does that mean we can't be treat fairly and with respect?

I can't believe you were denied just because you didn't have a "Hollywood marriage ceremony", that would be crazy. Lots of people just do a courthouse wedding and don't have any pictures, my husband and I included.
How many times have you guys actually physically met/visited each other? How long were you in a relationship before getting married? Those are things that prove a bona fida marriage and they're pretty important, especially at the more high fraud embassies.

Just another Ghana bona fide return. You will receive a NOID/NOIR letter from USCIS in 6-12 months and you (USC) then have the chance for a rebuttal.
If USCIS is satisfied with your reply then they will send it again to the embassy with recommendation to approve, they can approve or return it again.
Be on the premises for the next interview ! Visit now while you wait until you receive the letter next year, then you have even more evidence to include.
To those talking about appeal, there is nothing to appeal unless USCIS denies the petition. The embassy can't deny but only refuse to issue the visa
and return the petition with recommendation to revoke.
This is about responding to the future NOID/NOIR letter and that's it.
