  1. Hi fellow november applicants! Hope you're all doing well and progressing in your journeys. For those who I've had the pleasure of speaking with over the past couple of months, I wanted to say thanks for your support, advice, etc; however, I've, sadly, made the decision to cancel our application during my trip to Morocco. I wish you all the best on your journeys! If you'd like to keep contact with me, send me a PM and I will respond with my info before I cancel my account.

  2. Hi everyone. Some not so good news on my front - I've actually decided to cancel our k1 petition. that was never the intention of my trip here (I am still in morocco), but coming really me realize a lot of things. Better sooner than later.

On that note - how do I cancel the petition? I only have access to my phone and the search function is terrible on VJ. I would think I just send a letter with the case number, etc. But who knows with USCIS. I know this isn't the right place to ask as youre all still on the process toward getting your loved one here, but I figured maybe you'd provide some help since you've all been so nice.

  3. Hi guys! Hope you've been doing well. I've been pretty MIA lately just because I was tired of seeing Nov 2014 CSC (and December and January) approvals, and I was just busy :) Just wanted to write that I'm currently making a binder to bring with me to Morocco (I'll be there in 3 days :D) so he has everything possible for the interview.

I'm bringing photos, copies of my passport stamps, boarding passes, itineraries, copy of the entire I-129F, signed re-affirmation of the letter of intent, and the signed affidavit of support w/ backup documentation. I need to also pick out some convos throughout our relationship from fb and Skype. If anyone else thinks of something... let me know :)

  4. So on an interesting and unexpected note, my other Senator's office called me today (I screen my calls if I don't know the number) and left a message stating that they want to talk to me about my case and the differences between CSC/TSC processing times. Surprised I actually had someone call about the message I sent earlier this week.

Virginia residents - it was Tim Kaine's office this time.

  5. Thanks all for the help above. My fiancé is aware of the documentation he needs to get :)

    Another question...

I'm working on gathering the documents needed for the I-134. My salary is well over the 125% poverty guidelines, and I've provided the amounts I have deposited in my savings account, personal property, and the mortgage on my house.

I am a federal employee and am planning on providing my employment letter and verification of salary letter, SF-50, 2014 W2, and my 2014 tax return once it's completed. I feel like this is enough supporting documentation, but am not sure if I should also provide copies of my savings account balance and my mortgage documents (or if I'm really leaving anything else out).

Does the embassy like to see anything else or am I fine with the information I provided?

  6. Just re read your comment about not being able to be on a computer for a while so I checked the aila page. As of July 31 TSC was processing feb 2 and as of August 31, TSC was processing March 4. If the transfer was in early August, we can reasonably assume the date would have been somewhere in between but closer to the Feb 2 date.

    Thanks, April, for the datapoint!

I just read somewhere that Congressmen don't really have any pull before the standard 5 month window (and granted I'm only at 2 1/2 months), but again... can't hurt for us to get them involved.

  7. Yes, it does feel like that sometimes :P Thank you!

    Anytime :)

Letting everyone know that I received the following:

"Thank you for contacting me about the processing of fiance/e visa applications. I am honored to continue to serve Virginia as your United States Senator. As we work in the Senate to meet the enormous challenges facing this country including the federal deficit, efforts to strengthen our economy, create new jobs, and establish energy independence, your concerns and those of our fellow Virginians are very important to me.

Due to The Privacy Act of 1974, you should first submit a letter to my office. The letter should include your home address, phone number, and email address. The body of the letter should include a description of the problem, all of the action taken to remedy the problem, a description of a favorable outcome for the case, and the role that my office can take to achieve that outcome. Finally, sign and date the letter.

Additionally, send all recent correspondence that you have received from the federal agency involved, and a completed Privacy Release Form, which is enclosed. Mail all of these documents to the address below."

There's hope! Gonna keep doing down this route and hope it'll help.

  8. Please keep us updated. Now I'm terrified my fiance won't be here for the birth of our child (due date is 6/27/15). Will he even he able to visit???

Oh no... I hope you have everything in place by then. Since you're a Virginian like me, try emailing Senator Mark Warner... he's the one who has a specific team dedicated to USCIS issues (http://www.warner.senate.gov/public//index.cfm?p=HelpwithFederalAgencies).

If you want the letter I wrote let me know.

  9. After seeing SO much progress with the CSC filers on the Nov 2014 K1 thread, I decided to contact my Senators and House Representative. I doubt anything will come from it, but I'm getting tired of seeing people who happen to live on the West coast get their visas months in advance than the rest of us. One of my senators has a staff dedicated to USCIS issues, so I'm hoping something will come from that. We'll see.

  10. im trying to update my timeline but i don't understant that ;

    -- I-129F RFE(s) : -- I-129F RFE Reply(s) :

An RFE (request for evidence) is between the noa1 and noa2. USCIS will send a notice to your fiancé requesting information if they need it. You only have the petition sent and noa1 notice dates to fill out right now. If they send you an RFE you won't have it until April-june. Leave these dates blank on your timeline.
  11. Hi guys , im a new member, from morocco my fiance is from Jacksonville Florida and i just wanna know if it takes an eternity to get the NOA2 /// we sent the I-129F to Texas service center on 11/10/2014

our K-1 visa journey is like :

11/17/2014 : my fiance received an email === USCIS Acceptance Confirmation=== it says that our case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Texas Service Center for processing.

A week after, my fiance received our first NOA (Form I-797) Now we're waiting just like you and it's killing me cuz i really miss him and im kind of lost :clock: i don't know what is the next step what to do ??

Hi! Welcome to the group :) Unfortunately all you can do is just wait for a request for evidence (RFE) or the approved NOA2. Here's the link to the K1 guide (http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide) and it will tell you what to do after your fiance receives the NOA2.

The current standard wait for TSC is 5 months, so all any of us can do right now is wait until April for our cases to be touched. You could always start compiling some of the information you need, but the Moroccan embassy is pretty strict and will only take certificates (birth, police, court, certificate of singlehood) that are issued within three months of your interview date. I'm starting to put together the information needed for the affidavit of support and am creating a binder that has proof of our relationship (skype logs, facebook chats, passport stamps, itineraries, etc.) since Morocco is a high fraud country. The more evidence we show that we have a bonafide relationship the better.

I know it's tough to wait, but April will be here soon enough. Feel free to contact me if you need any help. There are about 4 or 5 of us November K1 filers who are either from Morocco or have Moroccan fiances :)

  12. I miss hubby's family too.... so does he. But he speaks with them all the time with some phone apps, so that helps. Marrakech is so amazing! I was only able to visit for about 3 hours, many years ago, but we plan to visit for a few days eventually. He should only need the police record from Belgium. But there are the 2 for Morocco and that is often overlooked.

You must have some pancakes for me, too! mmmmmmmm

Pancakes are delicious :) you must spend more time in marrakech! Where is your husband from?

Also - would he happen to know the arabic name for the court certificate? My SO is confused and I don't know the Arabic name for court :)

  13. We were married, and sent the papers to the NVC. With the other BC, the information is the same, but the format is different. I requested a supervisor review for the one we sent, stating that it is the "newer" version with the same information and that the Moroccan government considers it valid. The information is printed on the new national ID's so that a BC can be obtained anywhere in the country vs. having to travel to the birth city. Our government hasn't caught up on this, yet. But they did eventually accept it for us. There has been much debate on VJ about which one to submit, because the Moroccans (as they are told the "new" version is valid) believe the "new" one is good, whereas we Americans have discovered our government has different thoughts. LOL Also, the Moroccan papers are generally only considered valid by our government for 3 months. He will also need both his court records and police records. This causes confusion, as well. Feel free to ask anything. I see you're going back there next month! Have some Hawai for me, please! Drink it alongside a cappuccino....mmmmmm tasty. Have a safe trip!

Awesome. Thanks again and thanks for pointing out the court and police certificates. I think the long pole for him will be getting these from Belgium as he lived there for 8 months a couple years ago. As for the BC, thankfully he was born and raised and lives in Casa so that shouldn't be too hard :)

Super excited for my trip! We are headed back to Marrakech but I'm just happy to spend time together in person and see his family again :)

  14. Hi everyone

first of all congrats to everyone who got good updated news on thier cases and good luck to whom is still waiting , we got our Noa2 last monday the 12th , iam planing to go to morocco on the 26th to see my family and bring both birth and police certificates , as i know in morocco we can get two different types of birth certificate , a summarised one which include applicant´s full name , place of birth , date of birth , nationality , parents names , stamped and signed , and other one with more datails for instance applicant´s date of birth (in lunar year too ) , Parents date of birth + (in Lunar year too ) , parents prefession ,parents nationalities , and finally parents place of birth , stamped and signed as well , iam wondering which one may interest the US embassy in Spain , any help or advise would be appreciated , thank you

Just received an answer that the long version is needed for the Moroccan embassy. You might as well get one just in case :)

  15. Hi everyone! I'm not having much luck searching for the answer on VJ. For those who have had an interview in Morocco for a K-1 visa, what birth certificate does the beneficiary need to show? I've heard there is a short/summarized version but there's also a detailed/long version. I know for some countries the version matters, but I'm not having much luck finding if the short version is OK for Morocco.

    thanks!
