how are you going to feel when your kids grow up and are adults and racially profiled? what if they live somewhere with an awesome sheriff like the 'good guy' arpaio who rounds 'hispanic looking' people up and detains them at his whim? are you raising your kids to always carry their papers? they're american citizens so they shouldn't even need papers, correct? asking these questions isn't insinuating that you're racist, it's just this is what 'people who look mexican' have to deal with in this country.

doesn't change the FACT that daca was created to give immigrants who fit the 'no fault of their own' criteria a way to stay. "welcome them with open arms" sure, buddy.

For most it is about discrimination and/or hostility. There's really no other way to explain why someone would be against DACA without being discriminant to the people in the program and/or hostile by wanting to tear their families apart and send these people away from the only country they've ever really known all the while through no fault of their own.

DACA was put in place by an executive order that is constitutionally dubious at best. Forgiveness for visa overstays upon AOS is provided for in legislation (INA) and USCIS policy. Very big difference between the two. Also, DACA provides no way to "skip" anything; an EAD/AP combo card provides no legal status and no path to a green card.

Children should not have to pay for their parents bad choices, which is why I've always supported DACA, just not the fact it was pushed to the front of the line. 
 
Canada still requires you to have a visa or other means of immigration to live there.  It's not like it's an open revolving door. 

Those basic questions are really best answered when you do some research before forming an opinion. Questions many do not even attempt to explore, critiquing is much easier.

they should understand that each immigration process is a unique story and without all the info, without knowing the circumstances that a child was brought here under, without knowing if they have anything at all to go back to in their country of birth, without knowing what contributions they've made to this country since being here..it is callous to say well i did things legally, turn in your parents nom nom nom. in my mind daca recipients are already just as much american as i am. no one gets to choose where they are born, or where they are taken to live as children. the fact that daca recipients have to maintain high standards to even qualify should be enough to satisfy everyone here, who have also had to satisfy high standards to come here. i don't understand people who want to immigrate and reunite their own families, while wanting to tear other families to pieces. it's gross to me.
