When she gets a work visa in the said "safe"  country. My definition of a safe country is a first world country or a country that is not a developing country. More industrial and something similar. If she becomes a resident of that country and holds a work visa...she will then have "strong ties" and might give her a greater chance of getting a tourist visa (she applies for the tourist visa in the US consulate in that country...not Pakistan).

This is just a suggestion aside from getting a tourist visa from Pakistan and filing a petition for her. Just to give you possible options. :)

Yes.. better chance if she move to Dubai and apply a year to two later..

    I earn about £1000 a month I don’t own a house and am self-employed I have a criminal record

These all are negatives... 1,000 per month is below poverty level

I dont get it..If you could see the package(i shows under the package for USCIS Corbin) ,then that would mean they scanned it to your mailing address and that is why you could see it in USPS Informed Delivery.Make sure you have the screenshot for the card being returned as undelivered so you don;'t have to pay any replacement fees in the future(God forbid)

I think the carrier tried to deliver but no one home, so took it back to the post office. Where they decided to return it

Usually they hold it for few days..

    Which visa category ?

Absolutely not! This will not improve their chances so a person should not purchase tickets until they receive their visa in hand.

Also, if they want to see their granddaughter it is best to have a plan to take your daughter to see them. This should actually be your first plan since it is the easiest and can be done without a visa while the B2 visa to the US should be the alternative plan.

What about if they want to see how their son live in U.S..  based on his legal status OP should get citizenship ASAP... Then try one more time.. Parents of US Citizen will have better chance on visitor visa approval

    LPR

You have 3 kids so assume that you have been in US for more than 5 years.. Get citizenship and apply for your parents.. They will approve the visa..

I am registered with USPS daily digest and this how I found out that my card was unable to be delivered due to incorrect/incomplete address and got returned back to KY. So frustrating...So I called USCIS and they told me I need to wait 30 days to receive the card. i am assuming they will resend it with correct address. Just unbelievable. Oh and I received the approval letter without any problems and of course I didn't get the green card....My card was mailed on Oct 27 and they tried to deliver on Nov 1st and then got returned. I also filed an online request for non-delivery, i don't care I cannot wait 30 days:( Let see what happens...

    Don't they make a second attempt ?

Most of the time mail carriers in my neighborhood leaves the GC in the mailbox or  rings the bell

Frustration not knowing what is the reason. And how to prove they really want to spend just some days with three grandkids here. As I mentioned early in my post One grandchild they haven't seen since birth.

Understand but many people abuse it and the one with good intention will bear their sin...

You should provide round trip air tickets (buy the one you can cancel), also all the above you mentioned for strong ties to HC.. One more thing.. you probably can write a letter in detail the reason behind you are not able to make to Sri Lanka and also guarantee that they will go back after the trip.. finally pray that you end with a kind officer who will approve the visa.

    LPR

Your spouse is a citizen or your relatives.. how did you obtain LPR. This also can  be a reason ...

Did not overcome the presumption of immigrant intent, required by law, by sufficiently demonstrating that you have strong ties to your home country that will compel you to leave the United States at the end of your temporary stay.

  10. He need to demonstrate that his intent to study only arose after he entered U.S

    1. The I-539 application with supporting documents to show he is eligible for F-1 status
    2. Form I-20 issued by the academic institution he is going to attend.
    3. Proof of liquid assets to cover his estimated education and living expenses; and
    4. Proof that he have significant ties to his home country and will return when he complete academic program.
  11. What help you need.. you just said the reason for it "there is really not enough to show the home ties they have"

Owning home, Owning solid business, income resource, other children in the country will help

If you become Citizen you can apply for immigrant visa

My parents have relatives and would like to cover pretty much of West side of US. Not only that, my sister lives in Phoenix and they weren't able to visit her in past few months. So thats why extension has been applied. We hold Green card as of now.

Ok... The outcome is 50/50.. There are times they approved the extension but definitely risky. If they over stay B2 will be automatically revoked.

    Hello All,

I filed I-751 to remove conditional status for my wife, but it was Rejected due to not having a photocopy of the Conditional Green Card. WE NEVER RECEIVED the conditional green card in the mail. So we filed form I-797C (6/28/17) in order to replace it, we did the biometric and everything at the USCIS office.

Can you give more detail. When did your wife enter US ?   You were saying filed for replacement on 6/28/17. Did you lost the initial card ?

Hello all this is my time line if you like to add me!

We field on July 15/ 2016

we got approved on October 27/2017

I receive my GC on November 3rd!

    but.... I have a question!

We received the GC first which I thought it's odd because I always thought that the approval letter first then the card!

anyway so today I received a letter in my mailbox from USCIS which of course it was the approval letter but!

it was printed on a plain white paper not on an official one with the hand of Statue of Liberty!!!

I just wondered if that happen to anyone else?

Sorry if my question was silly!

    I will appreciate your responses

Its USCIS anything can be possible :D .. You did receive GC safely in your hand, that's all matters .. I think they probably realized the mistake after sending the GC.

Most of them receive the approval letter before the GC.. Even the case status changes after receiving the approval letter.. For some both on the same day...

For our case.. Received approval letter printed on light green paper with hand of Statue of Liberty... 2 days letter status changed to card in production
