    I believe I will not have any mistake ... I didn't receive any notification after initial scan on Aug 27. They still repeating now it will take 60 days so still reviewing .. .. below is my timeline

    NVC Case No Assigned : 8/18/14

    AOS Fee Paid & DS-261 : 8/21/14

    AOS, Civil Documents received: 8/27/14

    IV-Fee Paid : 9/23/14

    DS-260 Completed : 9/25/14

    CC: ??

    Did you sent police clearance certificate to nvc? because on phone everytime they say you have to bring it ti interview and today got checklist for that for Mumbai consulate

    I think it used to be like that... from my experience from 2010 NVC ask for Birth Certificate & Marriage Certificate (Original/Certified) , Divorce Decree, and PCC. I usually send the original PCC. but copy is fine too. Before that they only required to send copies.. now Original is required.

    Hey All,

    I have read and re-read so many different and conflicting answers so i am just going to ask these few questions myself and see what I get before I send these off and get a check list. So thanks in advance for any answers that you feel could set me straight and assure me I am sending in the correct paperwork.

    1. For the joint sponsor's (mom) I-864 form, if she filed jointly and with a 1040, first...do I use the entire joint income which is both her's and her husband's? and then submit her

    W-2's? and then this would mean I can't use the transcripts, right because it doesn't divide the income?

    2. And so...if she makes over and above the amount needed to sponsor my husband, do we still need to get her husband to sign the I-864A?

    3. When submitting the AOS package do I need to send my (petitioner) original birth cert plus copy? Original Marriage certificate plus copy? Original divorce decree plus copy? Or are they asking for these forms from the beneficiary in the IV package? And do we need to send them in twice if so, once in the AOS package and once in the IV package? And the all need to be originals? Do we get these back at the end of the process? Does the joint sponsor need to send these in the packet these as well?

    I am sure there are more questions but this is what is on top of me at the moment. Would love to know correctly without going to a lawyer, but maybe they will prevent a check list and longer processing time?

    1. If you only want to include your mom’s income then submit it with that income. Send 1040 Return and copy of W2 (mom) to prove her income.

      If you want to include joint income then Part 6:5 Mom Income, 6:6A-C Spouse Income. Current annual Household income will be the total joint income (1040-Line#22). Then her husband needs to complete I-864A.

    2. No. With W2 you can prove the income
    3. AOS package only needs petitioner’s copy of US Passport or Naturalization certificate. For Civil documents you need to send Beneficiaries Original Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Police Clearance Certificates, and Original Divorce Decree. You only need to send it once.     Me too Aug 27 still waiting.....

    Do u have interview at mumbai consulate?

    My priority date is September 2013 and i am still waiting for cc.... :(

    I actually requested for New Delhi.. But the my case# is BMB... so it will be Mumbai... What happend ? did you submit forms and documents on time ?

    What document they need with AOS FORM I-864

    If you have enough income to qualify then 1040 tax return form is enough...

    called nvc to confirm that they got my package which they did (oct 6th)

    but they said they only see one document. Since I sent them both together (according to new process), i guess that would make sense? I just dont want them to lose my documents -__-

    Anyone who sent both packages together got the same answer, that only one document was scanned into the system?

    I send both in one package with AOS scan receipt... They will only scan it once showing they received all the documents you send...
