  1. Mine doesn't have an expiry date. In regards to to the chickepox- i shall wait and see what happens- though its annoying when i did the medical in 2014 i had chickenpox history ticked- but now in 2016 i get D against it.

Considering my daughter has medical history of having chickenpox- the nurse then said that gave me the all clear on it as shes my child and i nursed her through it.

maybe i will be lucky and theyll be nice as daughter had it, and agree i will be covered

    time will tell

    thanks

  2. Hi

I to have had chickenpox and informed doctors, also that my daughter had chickenpox when 4 years but still i got no tick. the Td, MMR were ticked on mine the rest weren't.

They did tick all my daughters.

Both had statements on back saying vaccinations requirements met, so Im assuming this is what maters.

maybe it depends on who fills in paperwork as i had different doctors nurses- as medicals done on different days for self and daughter and like you we had any necessary jags to make sure we were covered for AOS.

If im wrong some one will tell us, but think were both good with the forms

  3. Thanks for the comments, i did see some comments Yuna had made in another post re healthcare and ACA, so thats gave me some stuff to go on, it starts to make a bit more sense now lol.

In regards to travel insurance- insureandgo and duinsure both offer immigration insurance covering you for 5,17,31 61 and 90 days. Though im not convinced the extra cover would actually mount to anything if you did need it, before you managed to sort out the health insurance.

gives me something to work on though

    thanks again

  4. HI

I have 2 questions re insurance.

For the flight over i would like Travel insurance to cover my daughter and self for flights over- flight delays, lost bags, missed flights etc- can anyone recommend or tell me who they used- do we tell them we only need it for 2 days say.

Also what about medical insurance once we get there- ive read on some feeds that any insurance we get will not be government compliant and we will be likely be fined when it comes to filng taxes- but again i would like some insurance- fiances insurance would go sky high with us on it so we would like to look at that later- i may be lucky and get a job which comes with medical once i start working. Just looking for ideas on last one and any guidance

    many thanks

  5. Hi

Depends on the service you pay for . I paid extra for quick turn around, filled it out on line as was in a hurry and it took 3 days for it to be delivered through my door once submitted

Also i knew it would be straight forward search for them as this was my second one as other expired- which was no trace.

    they generally dont take long

  6. Hi

Yes my Finace posted over a signed new letter of intent to marry last month.

Ill also take my court documents to show I have permission to immigrate with my daughter- just in case they ask- though i have already submitted the court papers to them all 34 pages.

Thank you for reply- i did think it would take roughly the same amount of time as if a new visa - fingers crossed it will be quick.

    thank you

  7. Hi All

I have a question re K1,K2 visas re- issuance.

I am At the Embassy next week for a follow up consulate interview ( as the embassy worded it) as my Visas had expired due to court proceedings and the Embassy held my case open- took my sealed envelope back etc.

They told me to go do medicals police report ,ds160s again and organize interview.

My questions im wondering is will they put a new Visa in our passports- or do they just stamp it the existing one.

I'm trying to gauge how long it may take after Embassy( if all ok and approved again )as we are on tight schedule trying to get over married- family coming over/ through for wedding, and daughter enrolled for school ( her school starts late this year as new build) then have to Adjust Status to allow daughter and self to travel back at Xmas to see Father.

I was wondering if anyone has had an re- issuance of visa and what happened was it quick or did it take even longer.

    thank you

  8. Hi

    Thanks you

Hes away to do another I-134 and will scan through to my dropbox along with new 2015 tax return.

Ive got the new letter of intent he posted that to me last month.

Ive also got my court judgement papers and letters/emails between embassy and self in regards to my case being on hold.

So i think ill have everything covered now.

I just keep looking to see if i can reschedule for closer date,

    many thanks for your help

  9. HI take the free one- save money even if it is only £10.

I had the boots jab used my receipt as proof - box ticked

my daughter had hers at school and a piece of paper from school advising box ticked.

just make sure its on your vaccination records when you go for medical and all will be good

  10. Hi Nich-Nick,

My fiance is self employed and when i first applied it was end of December so we used form 1040 individual tax return for 2013, plus company's profit or loss form, we also had his etrade current statement, and some bank statements showing monthly summaries for in and outs, and a letter from my fiance explaining his normally yearly income as he had problems getting detailed statements from his bank.

2014 was a good year- business wise but think 2015 wasnt such a good year for him, and this year is starting to get busier now.

Glad to know he can scann them into our dropbox and i can print them out here to take down- now that you mentioned it I think thats what we did 18 months ago.

I remember when i went for interview in feb 2105 the lady at first window just laughed at the amount of paperwork i had for my affidavit( felt maybe i had to much- but just wanted to be safe)

  11. HI

This is going to sound stupid but after my medical and forgetting my child ID im not taking any more chances.- yes i have to go all way down to london again for their medical. On the plus side i got the extra page saying i have full vaccinations required

Ive obviously done the whole process and was granted visa to have it expire and put on hold, and only now allowed to proceed.

Embassy told me new medical, police report, set up interview- but no charge for visa this time- see not a money making exercise for them.

Question is do I need a new I134 affidavit of support and if so do i get my fiance to send me original or will scanned copies do, Im confused as it says to file it- but where?

then when i was looking on the forum im getting old replies and im worried these arent current anymore.

Or will my old one do as i thought it says it valid for 5 years or maybe i was reading something else.

i know i did it all perfect last year but now with all court stuff legal stuff im getting confused.

    any help would be appreciated

  12. HI

im probably worrying about nothing but when i was doing my ds160 for second time ive entered my LND number for the case number on my ds160 but entered the WAC number on my daughters ds160.

    will this be ok.

or should i do a new ds160 for me as i know in theory it should be the wac number.

also where do we pay for courier- im slightly different in that i did all this 18 months ago only to put on hold. I booked my appointment for interview before i did ds160 and readiness form- was told to go ahead book and not to repay visa fee( thank you) my confirmation slip says visa paid jan 2015( which i did then) and DX paid again Jan 2015. just wanted to make sure im not messing up

    cheers

  13. Cheers for that, i did keep checking the reschedule but nothing then thsi morning at 8am i though oh check and right enough i got the 16th August- crazy. when i rechecked 5 mins later it was gone-so as you suggest it may be one just gets added as someone drops out or moves themselve,

i will keep rechecking as really want to leave at latest 26 th August as my daughter needs enrolled in school on 29th and its open day for kids to meet teachers and see round the new school( new build hence late start), and interview on 16th is cutting it pretty tight for flights etc.

I cant complain though the embassy have been brill with my case.

  14. Hi

Im truly amazed and grateful with the American Embassy- my visas had expired as was in court for my child- embassy put my visas on hold till i was able to immigrate legally. We won the case so informed the embassy who have just modified my visa application to indicate an additional in person consulate appointment is required. NO additional visa application fee required. WOW- was not expecting that- my appointment confirmation slip says paid January 2015, interview 23 august 2016

So i went on website and sure enough it allowed me to make an appointment for end of August. My question is ive heard other people say they keep checking and they've managed to move the appointmnet forward- which would be brill as we want my daughter to start school with her step sis and friends, and get married before end August.

Do i just go back onto the ais.usvisa website and hit reschedule appointment and see if it brings up new dates- is there a good time in the day to do this.

Ideally would like interview 2 weeks earlier or should i try the expedite appointment button.

Im assuming ill still need new medical- so i suppose i can do that and hope for new appointment

  15. i think i was just concerned that I'm a Uk citizen entering the usa on K visa via canada by car.

My visa will already have been re-issued- though i will have court documents by then also to prove im legally allowed to immigrate with my daughter.

But as everyone says its a POE it shouldn't matter and its busy enough with Canadian entering here so its not as f they don't now the procedure.

just need to wait patiently for the embassy to get back to me re what im supposed to do next to get new visas.

    x

  16. Hi

this may be a long shot im wondering if anyone has done POE from say UK to Canada.

I have the option of flying to Windsor Canada as its so close to Detroit, my fiance can drive across the bridge and collect us at Airport then drive back over the bridge into USA. So my POE will be Windsor Canada.

He used to fly his kids out of there when they had to go visit his ex up Seattle way.

The cost of a single flight is only £250 compared to £800 detroit- crazy

Im a bit concerned going this way but he says its still a POE ok used normally by Canadians entering with K visas etc.

I am now legally allowed to travel with my child so I'm just waiting to hear back from the Embassy re our next steps in getting a new visa, so just trying to preempt things.

    many thanks

  17. Hi Im following this as this may apply to myself and daughter very soon- i have an expired K1/K2 visa in passports, unlike city2888 london embassy have kept my petition open for the last 14 months- awaiting a court decision to allow my daughter to immigrate. So it saddens me that belfast would not keep yours open. Im awaiting a judgement and it may not go in my favour, if it doesn't, i will need to travel to usa to see my fiance within the next month so i am also freaking out at the prospect that i may be denied entry at POE. London have asked me to inform them when i know the courts decisions and they will advise me on my next steps( if im allowed to immigrate i believe i will need to do medicals and interview again)( if im not allowed who knows as i still intend on marrying my fiance but it may be another year down the line- London embassy have been brilliant in allowing me to keep petion open wit a view to getting a new visa- someone did mention to me its actually very hard to cancel a K1 visa).

Im glad i found this topic as i have gained some tips ie show intent to come back to UK- suppose court papers saying i cant immigrate with child is pretty strong- as i would be deported and who knows... i will make sure i take very little money with me nad my scottish bank cards as previously suggested.

If im to travel to usa on esta and all goes ok or not i will post an let you know how i get on im intending on travelling end July worse case scenario.

good luck though we are probably worrying about nothing

i did email the embassy and ask but they said wait till i get judgement then they will tell me what my options are . I was just trying to prepare for my last court date soon.

  18. Im assuming you live in england so your governed by english law. Talk to whoever is asking you to attend court - are there any lawyers involved you can speak to - explain your immigrating on 2nd July, you will not be in UK so can you give a signed affidavit for your testimony( i know this is applicable in scots law where i reside and have an affidavit submitted). The courts can use video link for giving evidence if distance is a problem but you would need to use a public building in USA as it has to go through a very secure link. I wouldn't stress as you didn't want to press charges as you said- will it def go to court. good luck with the interview. it will all work out

  19. you need the five days at least between medical and interview for the results to be delivered to embassy. When the embassy were sending out interview dates there was a good few weeks between them .

I live in Scotland and did the medical with an overnite bus down and back, the interview was in the morning so we went down the day before and again bus back around 3pm. The bus was real cheap, the problem with flights was travel to airport in scotland then travel from airport into london, then the reverse going home- remember you'll not have your passport after interview for airport photo security. It was nice to do some sightseeing once down there a dont expect to be back any time soon after immigrating.

  20. yep go to a travel clinic there not that expensive compared to possibility of full medical again in US. Make sure you get a receipt/ certificate confirming the jag. Ive used them and found them to be reasonable.

  21. hi was considering dublin as POE flights aren't that bad price wise, though im concerned about connection as when i looked it was only 2 hrs and they say leave at least 3hrs and then someone said best do POE on american soil incase anything goes wrong- though what can go wrong you have an embassy stamp in yor passport showing your approved fingers crossed. Ill search see if anyone did itas POE and get their comments

    thanks
