Hi VJ community, I’m just so happy to share with you all that I finally received my 10 year Green card after waiting for exactly 18months  I’m very greatful to this website coz it helped us a lot. My fiancé (now my spouse) didn’t have to hire an immigration lawyer for our K1 to my removal of condition. I can now officially say that I am a US permanent resident. Next stop! Citizenship, will keep u posted once we’re done with the naturalization process. Good luck y’all

ram19 got a reaction from JohnMN in MEGATHREAD- What does a Trump Presidency mean for visas? (merged)
Hi, I'm much worried about my condition, I entered the US lawfully with a k1 visa, under the same sex marriage law and now living a happy life with my spouse, however it terrified my big time when Trump won the election, thinking that I'm gonna have a big issue renewing my conditional greencard July 2017. Any thoughts about this? Thanks

    ram19 got a reaction from irishguy2015 in B2 Denial / K1 Application
Hi, the only thing I can share u is about the b2 denial.. I did apply last year 2x and both were denied. when I went to my interview few weeks ago, feb 11', 2015 to be exact.. They brought up the question about my b2 application, the first (Filipino consul) said, 'oh so u applied for a b2 visa'? I honestly told her yes ma'am I did, 2x and got denied. So I didn't know that she put a lil note (yellow sticky note) on my application, so when I got interviewed by the American consul, he saw the note on my application.. He then again asked me the same question, and I gave him the same answer, I thought I was gonna be denied coz it took him a while and told me that he will just have to check something on the computer about my b2 visa application, well anyway to cut it short.. He smiled at me and said 'ok your visa is approved' ... So all I wanted to say is relax, ur b2 visa denial will not affect ur k1 visa application (not unless u told them lies) when u were applying for the b2 visa.. So just be HOnEST I'm telling you they would know if ur lying. Good luck with ur journey i know how it feels been there.. But it's a fun journey, just enjoy the ride ) goodluck

Same-sex couple (both females) right here! We've finished the process & got approved. My fiancée will be here in a month
The only thing that was different about our process was that as a same-sex couple when you are filing the i-129f you have to show the intent to marry and in what state you will marry in. This is just my opinion but there are some states where marriage equality is maybe there, or there for a few days and then gone..... I would stick to a state where it has been law for a good amount of time and hasn't changed.
Best of luck to you girls & let us know if you have any more questions!
