    4/9/20 Sent packet

    4/13/20 Arrived to USCIS TX

4/15/20 Received Text&email, CC got charge and they said they accepted case since 4/13/20 then transfer to Vermont center now.

It's pretty fast than i was expecting. Also if you filed AOS before 2018 I believe that they won't ask you for interview

Mine was pretty fast too. I was surprised :) I sent the package on 4/7/20, it arrived in Texas on 4/10/20, on the 14th I received the text, next day (4/15/20) my check was cashed and today I'm expecting to receive the letter. I hope I can skip the interview this time 🤞😀

Hello everyone! I sent my ROC package last Monday and it was delivered Friday (04/10/2020), but I was panicked the hole week because my dear husband went to UPS and the lady offered him to mail there, but through USPS and he accepted!!! After trying to tack the package for 2 days at the UPS website, I tracked on google and panicked when I realized it was an USPS mail package with a Fedex/UPS/DHL address!!! I was ready to get the package back but apparently it was delivered...now I'm anxiously waiting for the notification.

Good luck to all of us and be safe out there!!!

My package was delivered on Friday too. I'm waiting for the text/email 🤪🤯😓🤞🙏 I hope you can get the notification soon 🤞🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏

    Hello,

Sorry about the long wait, this is really a hassle. I am not as far as you in the proces but I am already frustrated.

Anyways, just to see if you could get more Information, I would suggest booking an Infopass at your local office, and also why not try to contact your Congressman/Senator and Ombudsman to see if they make an inquiry on your behalf to see what is going on.

Are you tracking your case online? If not create an account here: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ and go to "Add paper case" to put your receipts and see if there were any updates that you were not aware of. Are you also signed up for Informed Delivery? It is a free service from USPS that sends by email a picture of your mail so that you know what to expect everyday; check it out on their website. Sometimes interview letters are lost in the mail so it will keep you ahead of the game.

Good luck, I hope you get something soon. God bless

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have informed delivery and I have myuscis account so I always check my cases online. I submitted two case inquires and they replied my adjustment of status is not out of normal processing times and they send me a letter (I had not received yet) about the I-130. I want make an infopass appointment at my local uscis office but they currently have not available dates. I guess lots of people are making appointments to complain about the slow processing times 😅😞😩😅🤔😃🤣

Sorry to hear about this, but did you know that you can apply to renew your travel permit and working permit ? You will be okay to travel

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I already apply for EAD and advance parole renewal in February. My Ead and my state Id expired a few days ago. So, I hope they will send my new EAD soon so I can get another state id.

  5. Hello, my aos is pending for one year and 3 months. I've been waiting and waiting for my interview letter. In the meantime, my EAD is going to expire in less than two weeks. I already sent the EAD renewal application (in February).

As December 31 2017, my field office Oakland Park FL was processing November 2016 cases. With the new processing times system, seems even more slow. It's said they processing cases between 15 months and 22 months. I called uscis and the officer was not helpful at all. Telling me all information that already are available to me and that already I know. So I ask him I want to do a service request to inquire about my case but he said my case is in the normal processing time. He also said I don't need to do the infopass appointment but I still think it could be helpful to have more information about my case.

I have a family event to attend in another state in August but I think I'll not have Id to travel (my work permit is expiring so also my state id). And it's so sad I can't even plan a trip to visit my family in my country because I don't know when I'll have my interview. Sorry for venting. Some days waiting is very frustrating ☹

Where in Florida? I think South Florida might be a bit behind because of the hurricane as the field offices were closed for almost a week even after Irma passed. Our field office is Jacksonville and our PD was December 21, 2016. We were scheduled for our interview on October 23rd, 2017. You can start a service request once your PD fall outside the range of what is shown online but besides that there isn't much to do but wait.

I see it's Oakland Park. Sorry didn't see the field office listed the first time.

Thanks for your reply. I live in Hollywood (Broward county) so my field office is in Oakland Park :)

  7. Hi, I had kinda a situation like yours, after we got married I was living in the apt with my husband and his two rommates/friends. I was not in the lease and my husband either. I could be not sharing a bank account with him because I didn't have a ssn. I sent my application last year in December and it was accepted. I sent as proof of bona fide my marriage certificate, 3 affidavits (my in-laws and a roomate/friend), lots of pictures (some taken during the years of our relationship, some were wedding pictures with family members), tickets to usa when I came to see him, cards I sent to him from abroad (I'm the romantic one lol) and my husband wrote a letter to explain our relationship. You can gather other documents and bring with you later at the interview. They didn't send me any additional information letter (rfe I think it's called) but every case is different so, if you can try to get soon a lease together or insurance together. Also, some banks allow you to be added to your husband account without ssn (mine didn't want to do). I'm currently waiting for my interview letter. :)

  8. Hi! :)

Back in the tax season, in March my husband and I went to hr&block to help us to file tax return and a request for an ITIN number for me.

I had a pending adjustment of status (and I still have it) but I didn't have a work permit (EAD) at the time, so I could not have a social security number neither a state id with my married name. All id documents I had were from my country but all of them had my maiden name. The agent at hr&block advise us to put my maiden name on ITIN form and 2016 tax return, because she said we could have problems to prove my identity without an id document with my married name on. I got my ITIN without problems. I filed my AOS packet with my married legal name, so I got EAD with it. I got ssn number and FL state id with my married name as well. Now, I need to tell IRS that I have SSN now but my ITIN was with my maiden name so I think it's a name change. I know that I should write a letter to notify them about this changes but I feel a bit insecure to send copy of ssn, state id and EAD thru the mail. I don't know... :huh::blink:

Do I should just go to an IRS office and talk with them?

Did somebody have a situation like mine?

Sorry if it's was long and thanks:)

Has anyone who has filed with their spouse, jointly and applied for an ITIN number received anything or their tax refund ?

I applied for a ITIN number and I filed a joint tax return with my husband. I got a letter with my ITIN after almost 7 weeks I applied for. After 3 weeks, on 4/12 we got the tax return. The same day my ead status changed to "card in production". Such a lucky day! :)
