Correction, Just because one gets a "no decision can be made" at the end of the interview does not necessarily mean you will get an RFE. I have seen so many have no decision at end of the interview only to be approved a few days later.

    Sunshine16x,
Congratulations again! I am so happy for you and so glad you did not follow those lawyers. Those lawyers just wanted the $6,000 to $10,000 for removal proceedings case. That is their trick and it sucks so bad that they can take advantage of people like that. Trust me I have had a lawyer tell me I cant and rubbished my research but God knows I will prove him wrong. God is all powerful and I just trusted in him. Enjoy you Green Card and hopefully your journey to citizenship will be much smoother. Please say a prayer for me as I wait.

Mr j.js...Have they rejected the application yet? They will reject it is it does not have the bio-metric fee. Once they reject it you can then resubmit it with the correct fee. Don't confuse yourself so just wait until they return the file because they will. It does not count against you since it was initially submitted on time. Please ignore the immigration court nonsense above. Just people bent on rattling others yet they are immigrants as well.

Most of the time they will approve prior to 120 days elapsing. I have a friend who had a hard time at the interview and she was convinced that she was going to be denied. Infact the officer said at the time "This is not good. This is just not good". They waited for almost 120 days and they approved two days before that.

Guys...its all over...save for the passport process. I am officially a US Citizen.
We got there at about 7.30am. We checked in at the information desk and we then waited in the USCIS building lobby until we were called in at around 8. We made lines and went to some tables set up at the back of the hall and we turned in our oath letters. The officer asked me for my green card which i did not have since I never got the 10 year one as the interview was combined I-751/N400. I signed the oath letter and was asked to look over the info on my certificate and then received a package. At about 9am the ceremony started. There was a speech by USCIS officer and a video from President Obama. They called us by country where we stood. The ceremony took about an hour and we were out at around 10am. I cannot believe my torturous journey is over? I am drinking heavily tonight...lol. I couldn't help being emotional especially when President Obama said "fellow Americans." I was overwhelmed. The Pledge of Allegiance did me in as well. Somebody was peeling onions in the room... . So glad it is now over.

    Well folks. Its a wrap.

Got there at about 8am and was called in at 8.15am. The officer first started with my I-751 extreme hardship waiver. I was fretting about that but he asked very simple questions on it. Just about my prior marriage and whether I was circumventing the NTA I received by filing extreme hardship waiver. (I had been denied in 2011 and received an NTA) I told him I filed it based on the facts in the file and I was within my rights to file a hardship waiver if I have enough evidence and anytime before my NTA is filed in court. The NTA was never filed. He smiled and said that was true. He then said it looks good and we moved to the N400. The questions he asked were:

Who is the vice president of the United states

What French territory did the US acquire from France

Who is the current speaker of the house

Name one right only afforded to US citizens only

What is the rule of law

We elect senators for how long?

I was asked” What country is North of the US”…and he asked me to write” Canada is north of the united states.

I signed a few documents there and said I was recommended for approval and will get oath notice in two to three weeks.

I simply cant stop pinching myself.

Did that just happen? I thought I-751 Extereme Hardship waivers were never approved. I guess its true what they say about faith the size of a mustard.

Surely enough as the officer had promised, I received another letter with the June 8th date. It came directly from the officer in the local officer. He even signed his name on the notice. He seemed like a pretty cool guy. Hopefully the third time is a charm. 18 more days of this.

Congratulations to all those who have been scheduled for your interviews, passed your interviews, have your oaths scheduled or have already been sworn in. Great to see this. As for me its a bummer and I cant even control how I am feeling right now. To think this would have been the stage where I am waiting for the oath but after my interview was cancelled I am right back to waiting to be re-scheduled for an interview. I am not sure what is the deal with me and USCIS. I have always been unlucky in this journey. So many bumps along the way that I cannot control. There is nothing I can do but wait but hopefully it wont be too long now. It does suck big time and I really hate it!

N400applicant.....just because you had bad experiences it does not mean everyone has. I have found out more on infopass appointment. For example, I knew the USCIS website was going to be updated on that day (though she couldn't tell me exactly what the update was and me to wait and check the site in 6hrs) I last had my INFOPASS appointment and just like the officer told me, it updated that afternoon 8 hours later. You seems to pouring your frustrations on others and discouraging them based on your experiences. Every experience is different

Well...as you prepare for your N400 interview, one of the questions that you may want to take a note of is "Who is the Speaker of the House?" Well now beginning today it is Paul Ryan and not John Boehner.

I have my I-751 and N400 Interviews coming up on the same day next month. I understand they will adjudicate the I-751 first and then the N400. Anybody else who has had this experience can share on what to expect on that day.
