I was there on the 14th. They tell you to get there at 7AM but the ceremony actually starts once the judge arrives at around 10-10:30am. The wait killed the joy and we couldn't get pictures with the judge or anything resembling USCIS. Only people in the military got to take pictures.

You can arrive at 8:30 so you don't have to wait in line for an hour to enter the building.

Overall glad that I'm done with immigration.

    congratulations

Has anyone taken oath for naturalization at Campbell Education Center Houston? Can you please share your experience? Heard oath taking at USCIS takes much less time as compared to Campbell Education Center. What is the parking situation and are there more than one entrances in the building and what enterance is used for naturalization ceremony and is it OK to be late as I heard it is a long wait till start of ceremony.

    Thanks for any input.

you dont want to be late

    Hi Everyone,

Something is troubling me today. Yesterday, I received a N-400 denial notice from the USCIS. I applied the N-400 last June and received an interview notice scheduled May'22. However, due to separation, I was no long eligible under the five year rule. Therefore, in April'22, I withdraw my N-400 application by sending a letter to USCIS, and resubmitted a new application under the five year rule, which I was already eligible for. Approximately two weeks after sending the withdrawal letter, I received a letter from USCIS notifying me that per my request, the interview was canceled. However, yesterday, USCIS sent me a notice says that my case that filed in June 2021 was denied. Although I requested to withdraw that case, will the denial notice impact my current active N-400 application? I was always under the impression that any withdrawal case's status would be "Withdrawal" instead of "Denied". Any thoughts will be very helpful! Thanks so much.

    Nothing to worry about.

After our combo interview on May 16th in Sacramento for our i751 ROC case we got a notice of approval today.

Both our naturalization and our ROC cases have been approved and we are awaiting the oath ceremony to be scheduled.

Not expecting a new 10 year green card due to the pending oath ceremony.

25 months since filing the i751 to get approval.

    Congratulations, that's good news

    Hi everyone!
My husband and I submitted our I-751 in September 2020. I got an 18 month extension letter soon after that. Last July I had my biometrics taken and my status changed to “ready to schedule an interview “ on September 2021. In January 2022, I received my 24 month extension letter which expires this October.

Is anyone in a similar situation? I see some MSC—— cases are moving much faster than mine. I’m scared of losing my job because of not having a renewed green card by this October.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You said you receive 24 months extension letter, that was issued January 2022, I believe the 24 months starts from when you receive that.

How long did you guys wait from your case was received/transferred until you got to do the biometrics?

I filed end of August 2021 (Texas SC) and got transferred to MCS 12/2 2021. Nothing since then. Does it depend on you location? I’m in the Dallas, TX area.

Also, anyone who knows why there’s no processing time for this SC? Just curious:) I’m planning on filing the N-400 in November and hopefully it’s a smooth process.

Everyone is waiting like you, all you can do is wait .

    Interview completed!

Scheduled time for appointment was 9:55am. We arrived for 15 minutes early as requested and waited till nearly 11am to be called. We were out the door 7 minutes later. Very laid back gentleman swore us in, asked why I had 2 different first names (going through name change) and if we had anything new we wanted to present. We gave only this years filed taxes and last years house refinance and car purchase. The remainder of the time was spent with him explaining what happens next.

By the time we reached our car my text dinged to "card being produced".

Filed November 2019 and interview was at Orlando office. Interview was ready to be scheduled February 2021 and was scheduled for today in the beginning of March 2022.

Being over prepared made us feel better but I now look forward to saving memories by choice and not necessity!

    Good Luck to Everyone

    Congrats

To give Potomac filers some hope, especially those who did not file for citizenship as well:

    Filed/NOA: 5/13/2020

    Biometrics used: 6/13/2020

    Approved: 3/17/2022

Total time: just about 22 months.

No interview, no transfer to another center, no citizenship. Just straight up Potomac.

I know it is extremely difficult to stay sane while waiting for this process to be over. Everytime you inch closer to their deadline, they extend it. It's painful, especially when you see other centers with much shorter processing times. It feels so unreasonably unfair.

All I can say is, try, try, try, as much as you possibly can, to NOT think about it. Go on with your daily life and things you enjoy and love.

    Good luck everybody!

    Congrats

Me too. I just have to store this in the back of my mind at this point to stay sane. Had a baby with my wife in Feb, maybe by the time the baby graduates college Daddy will finally have his permanent permanent resident card 🤣.

very funny but I know soon we should start seeing changes
