SuzieQTpi got a reaction from Natasha&Noor in New May Support and Rant
Ok, I need to vent!!!!
Had my interview yesterday in Montreal (have posted a consulate review)
I am now in Administrative Processing and it sucks!!!
Reason for the AP you ask? WELLLLlllll let me tell you...lol
In my interview letter under "#6 - Marriage Termination" document status was coded "F"
Under Document Status Code Definitions, "F" means - The NVC did not request this form or document.
SO......I didn't take a copy of my spouse's divorce documents! (Had originally put them in the folder with everything else, but took them out when I was trying to make room for other 'needed' documents, that by the way they never asked for)
BUT.... the interviewer insisted that it was a required document and would not approve our application until she got an original or certified copy of the papers. She gave me back my passport and a 221g letter! I asked her how much this would delay our application and was told that all visas are taking longer than normal as they have been instructed to book more interviews per day.
I couriered the documents by Loomis to them today. Praying for a speedy approval
I wish there was an avenue of complaint with immigration. I discovered that what the NVC tells you and what the consulate wants are not always in sync, and each website contradicts the other.

Just popping in to say Congrats to all that have been approved!!! Your patience has finally been rewarded!
Looking forward to a long weekend here, then flying to Montreal on Tuesday for my interview on Wednesday. Will use the weekend to double, triple and quadruple check our documents.
Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

Ok, so I get my interview date (May 20/15) YAHOOO
I arrange to have my immigration medical done in BC so I could combine it with a mini vacation to see friends and family that I likely won't see again.
I give the Dr.'s assistant my paperwork and because I don't have immunization records, my GP ordered a titer test. I get told the results are missing the Rubella and Measles IGG so I it's likely that I won't be able to get my medical results the next day. WHAT???
After much back and forth with Dr. Cheema's office, my doctor's office, DynaLife labs and the Provincial Lab, I find out that someone at DynaLife crossed those tests off the requisition!!!! (I'm guessing it's because DynaLife doesn't do those tests and they have to be forwarded to the Provincial Lab). REALLY??
So now I have to call my GP's office and have them call the Provincial lab and add the tests to the requisition and then have the lab fax the results to Dr. Cheema's office.
THEN....provided the results come back showing immunity, I get to pay for the courier to get the medical results to me!
Oh great....don't you just love it when stuff falls through the cracks!!
Just when you think it's smooth sailing.....somebody had to rock the boat!

Congrats!!!! so happy for you two!
I know it's a long and extremely frustrating journey, but it will be worth it in the end.
From what I've noticed it seems to be approx 7 - 8 weeks from CC confirmation to Interview if you are going to Montreal.
I'm heading to BC this week for my medical, going to make a mini vacation out of it and see some old friends and family.

Thank goodness for Airmiles.....all this flying could drain a gal's wallet!

Soloenta... I'm at work can cannot call from here, and then I'm out this evening. There is a 2 hour time difference from me to NVC, so by the time I get home, they will be closed
Scan date was 12/31/14

Ok.....so it's day 76 of my 'at least 60 day' review of my checklist.
Hard to believe that it takes this long to review a 3 page form that was only missing the date on one line!
To add insult to injury, now I can't get onto the website to even check for 3 N/A's!
At this rate, I can kiss an April interview goodbye......and it could be slim chances for a May interview

SuzieQTpi got a reaction from ChristinaG in upack and photo albums
Having worked for a large corporation that did numerous domestic and international moves, I have seen too many instances where personal (family treasures) items have gone missing, even had a few cases where the truck crashed and burned and everything was lost. Every day things like furniture etc can be replaced, but photos etc cannot. I always advised the people being transferred to take either the photos or the negatives with them so if something happened to one, they would have the other. If it's something that insurance cannot replace, take it with you
