  1. Sharing my experience:

    1. arrived in NAIA Terminal 3, using my PH passport

    2. queue 1 - show these 4 items (approx. 40 minutes in a line of about 100 people)

        a. boarding pass

        b. onehealthpass

        c. covid test result

        d. covid vaccine card

I did not get asked for medical insurance and traze app.

    3. queue 2 - after the boarding pass is stamped with "Verified" we proceeded to immigration line for the usual procedure.  Note - the lines are a mess, I asked someone where PH passport holder should go and she said to pick any line.  typical chaos.

that's it!  going down the escalator to baggage claim someone was checking boarding passes if stamped with Verified or not.

  2. omg, got a shock from the mail this week - ROC approved! (which i thought was biometrics date for my N-400)

looks like it's true that submitting N400 speeds up the ROC approval

if you have this same situation you should definitely go for the N-400 once eligible !

    Mar 30, 2018 - submitted N-400 online (basis of 3 yrs)

    ------------

June 12, 2017 - biometrics appt for ROC

They told me to make an appointment to the USCIS office in order to speak with somebody about this entire situation. I made the appointment for next week and hopefully I will get some good answers.

I am also trying to figure if I can have dual citizenship , I tried with the State Department but they declined answering my questions.

Try to search/read posts about dual citizenship from your countrymen.

just an example - For the Philippines, the Phil. government grants dual citizenship for natural-born Filipinos.  Lots of Filipinos have dual for some useful benefits.

I am not considering lying - I am asking about obtaining a waiver for the “bear arms” part - which is legally possible. I simply do not know how hard it is to do practically. If it’s hard to obtain, I’d rather keep my 700+ dollars and never apply than request the waiver unsuccessfully.

imho, i don't think we need to be rude when we hear an alternative opinion.  i think the reply was helpful by presenting an alternate route, you just didn't like to hear it.

citizenship is a privilege and it does come with the corresponding cost and obligations.  which is why rich citizens who want to escape the taxes renounced their citizenship, for example.

not trying to antagonize you, i am also applying for naturalization soon.  we can't pick and choose the nice parts of being a USC.

  5. Whoa guys, simmer down...

This is a democratic forum. We should all just agree to disagree about this.. Everyone has a valid point and has freedom to express it. I hope my medical exam will go well and the visa will come 3 days after interview also, but can surely use some support if it takes 3 weeks instead.

Love and Peace and Good Luck to all! (L):luv:
