Hi Folks,
Its been a while and wanted to check-in on the group. I see most are still waiting. For me, I'm still waiting but based upon the message, looks like nothing is outstanding and case has been in active review since July 8th.

Since I don't see a Forum started for March 2021 Filers, I'm starting this so we all can keep in touch through-out the I-130 journey of bringing parents to the US.
Today I submitted my form 1-130 online and paid the fee.
Let the Journey begin.

Thanks for the Update! .. We were thinking we may have missed something major with the "Decision can-not be made yet" ....but This at least puts us at ease for now...

Hi group,
My wife just had her N400 interview today. She passed the Civics, Reading and Writing part but the I.O. was not able to make a decision. The I.O. didn't state exactly why but that we'll get a decision within the next 60 days. Any of you had the same situation.
Now is waiting game............⌚

HI VJ members! Let the Process began! Just submitted my N400 online tonight and will keep yall posted as we all travel this road throughout the next 1.5 yr!

wow congrat !!! I saw your timeline ...just wonder did you get interview waived during AOS ? ...
mine was waived for K1 AOS....and i wonder if there is a case that they will waive interview again for 10 yrs gc...
some said if you waived the first time, they likely to interview you for the 10 yrs gc..
Yes my interview was waived for the K1 AOS... I don't think there is any particular situation that would automatically flag someone for interview... I know a few people who had both K1 AOS and 10 yr GC without ever having an interview.....

On July 24, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number XXXXX, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by August 23, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

hi guys..
On July 1, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Numbe
Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by August 30, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.
This was my welcome notice. It states by August 30th but how long is it taking from welcome notice to card receipt for those that got it already.
Do i have to complete registration of ADIT processing

Just received our AOS approval letter today. Approval notice July 1st and we should receive our GC in 3 weeks. No interview. AOS on K1.
.. Good luck to the rest of you on your journey.

October filer here as well and still haven't got any update since 11/24/2014- [N.B.C received my RFE evidence]
..... Not even a interview waiver notice..
But from the look of things in this discussion board.. I should be hoping for an interview vs the waiver ..as getting a waiver could mean more months of waiting...

Question, I have a family member that has social security income and Child survivor benefit income that is already NOA2 and waiting on interview. Can these be used as qualify income on I-134 affaidavitt? The combined total does meet FPL needed for household of 3.
Has anyone on VJ have gone through the documentation process of what is needed?? Social Security has an award letter.
-
You should be fine for the two of you. See the 2015 FPL per USCIS. You're over the 125% as well. Make sure to get an employer letter to annualize your income and you should be good. No assets needed.

@conlyne... You probably don't want to hear this answer but He needs to consult with an immigration attorney for a case evaluation before filing.
But as a supporting VJ community member, Here is my 2cents to offer you based upon the scenario you presented. The Good News is that the crimes doesnt fall under AWA - Sex Offender Crimes, As these are cases most likely are never won or drag on gor years.
The crime does however fall under IMBRA as your fiance does have a crime that is a child abuse case. Your fiance has to provide certified court record and police report.
You will need an attorney to help you prepare an IMBRA Waiver for this crime. You can try tackling it yourself but not recommended as you need to prove with supporting facts of why the waiver should be granted. EX. Good character, Completed counseling, community ties, Rehabilitation..etc.
Secondly, the 3rd DUI may pose an issue later on if he is convicted later on. IMBRA requires criminal disclosure for individuals with 3 or more alcohol/substance convictions. What this entails again is IMBRA waiver and certified court/police records.
In summaries, there is light at the end of the tunnel but before you jump on the train, make sure you are fully prepare and packed to take on the visa journey.
Good Luck and even if you don't hire a lawyer to represent you, have an immigration evaluate your case at minimum.

how long do you have to wait to start tacking the package?
When u see it "in transit" at NVC..just follow the instructions in this forum...it should be out on DHL tracking already...if in transit today use the EXP format with yesterdays date as that is the day it was picked up...

MARCH 2021 I-130 FILERS FOR PARENTS (PROGRESS REPORTS ONLY)
in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Posted
Progress update as the Visa interview is certainly a process.
My mother had a visa interview scheduled for December 8th but was turned away as she was missing a certified Birth Certificate. My mother was born in a remote part of Laos where there were no birth records and the country of Laos did not recognize their birth until recently.
We got her birth certificate recertified and had to rescheduled an appointment to March 20, 23.
Yesterday she went to her Visa interview and the US consulate gave her a verbal approval, took her passport and gave her a Receipt to come back and pick her Visa at a later day. HOWEVER, they didn't provide a date. They advised, they will call her when the visa is issued. They ALSO gave her another Request for Documentation letter as they wanted our updated 2021 Tax Transcript & W2s.
The request letter advise for us to upload the docs to CEAC and e-mail them when it is completed. We uploaded and now are waiting to see if the VISA will be issued. From what I've read on VJ, it normally takes 7-10 business days.
CROSS-our finger. Hope we get it issued soon!
