EAD and AP approved! Card production Stage. AOS still in acceptance... I'm adjusting from K1
Congrats. I'm eagerly checking USCIS status check every couple of hours. Really wanna get mine too. But no change from Initial Review since my biometrics. How long from your biometrics until they start production of your card?

There is a deadline. You were supposed to file AoS within the 90 days. However, since it is a family based visa it is likely they will overlook the overstay you have committed. Technically you are out of status.
You are going to find it a bit more hassle to apply for AoS now. Is there any reason your husband won't sign the AoS documents?

We got a biometrics appointment letter on 20 August (dated 16 Aug). The appointment is 2 September in the Dallas office. The AOS status is still sitting on acceptance, but AP/EAD are in initial review.
Mine is the same, I think most people have the same. I did my biometrics one week ago from tomorrow.
Now just a waiting game to see what happens.

I assume I need to tell them about income I've made this year before entering the USA as a K-1.
I assume I won't be taxed on that. Also if I get paid a foreign salary through my own business in the UK (paid to a UK bank account), after I get EAD how does this go for tax purposes? What USA taxes will I pay? Would I pay Self Employment Tax in the USA?

The NVC has nothing to do with this case.
Isn't it the National Benefits Center or one of your local centers (or a Service Center in some cases).

File for AoS/AP/EAD which comes to just over 1000 dollars. And in 60-90 days your partner should hopefully get work authorisation. Then wait for the green card which can take a while.

A lot of us here has done an early walk in and has been successful. It never hurts to try! Good luck
I don't think I will try. Don't really have the time to go up there to maybe get it done. Especially since a couple of friends are visiting.

If you adjusted froma K-1 then show your NOA1, or if you still have a valid I-94 show that. If not you may have to wait til EAD or GC.

Got my biometrics appointment stuck in the middle of two classes that I am taking at university, and those are the first day ones so I don't want to miss them.
Has anyone had luck with doing an early walk-in at Detroit for biometrics?
It is an hour and a bit away from here, I am trying to plan to go on this Wednesday. Would that be a good idea?
Hopefully they let me to it.

I think it is still too early for you to call....I sent mine out on 1st of July. They received on the 3rd. I waited so long to receive my NOA1. So, just be patient. hehe, it will be there soon!
I finally got mine in the mail, checked a few minutes ago. Set for 26th August in Detroit. I wonder if I can do an early walk in as I am doing classes at the local university at that time, and I will miss 2 of them since Detroit is over an hour away from here.

Congrats! Hope you get work soon too.

The customer service lady said that since it was 30 days after receive date I was able to get a service request. Try again, I guess it is all up to the customer service people~~
I'm in a similar situation. Called Customer Service and they don't seem to be much of help until 30 days after my reciept date. Although even then all they seem to be able to do is send a note to someone that I haven't gotten my biometrics letter. Anyone have light on what they can do?

Congrats. Is this AoS or K-1? It seems to look like K-1 according to the OP's timeline but is in the AoS forum.

Basically my wife is planning to change her last name to mine and moving her last name to her middle name (which is allowed according to the Social Security office without going to court to change it). She is the US Citizen.
We have already filed the AoS/EAD/AP paperwork nearly a month ago, still haven't recieved my biometrics appointment (which is a different issue)
So do I need to inform them when she changes her name or should I tell her to wait til after I get my Green Card (although could be an issue since we travel a lot so don't want to not have her passport because of a name change after I get AP).
Any ideas on what to do? Only seems to be a way to change your address on the website...
Also have a son now (after filing).

Has the UK company employed someone in the USA before? It is quite a hassle for the UK company to employ someone living and working in the USA.
It will probably involve the UK company getting charge additional fees, and they probably will have to provide the healthcare benefits, etc... Which might be a huge task for a company if they haven't done that before in the USA.

Looks like they have made a mistake.
-
It means they have recieved your application. You should get an NOA1 saying they have got. Then you will get a letter for the biometrics.
You'll get a letter if you have an interview. Some people don't.

Just wondering since I haven't got my biometrics letter yet.
Also my NOA1 (AoS) has no priority date...

The family size is one person more now. See form I-864 part 5, #4
Do you still have enough income for household size?
There is no good way to amend things by calling. And mailing something modified would not necessarily get matched up to your file. I would wait until the interview and inform the officer in person. If you don't get an interview, then...oh well...no worries.
My fiances gross is going to be $60k/year ($4k raise) from end of this month onwards. So should be enough. Household including me would be 2 adults and 2 children. They should know the due date of the baby was August since when we files for the I-129F we included information about the baby in it.
When I signed and sent it all, everything was correct. So hopefully there won't be any problems.

4 days ago my wife and I had our baby boy. She is the USC, and our baby was born in the USA. We were married and file before the birth, so do I need to inform USCIS of this new baby boy? Or do I not need to? Will it change any of the requirements on the Affadavit of Support?

Lets hope it's to speed things up for you, mine was at NBC (Missouri) and was there for 9 months in total. might be a good thing to be transferred.
Nebraska is probably an overflow method. Hopefully it doesn't mean they have it in storage and are waiting for the load to reduce. That happened for my friends K-1 visa back when the K-1 visa was a relatively new thing.

Looks like Congressman Danny K. Davis might be your man, he is in charge of the 7th District of Illinois (which I believe Chicago is under).
His website is: http://www.davis.house.gov/
He will probably have a person who deals with immigration queries, don't expect to actually be talking to him directly.

Does USCIS send stuff via UPS? I have an undelivered card from them.

So I need to change it to my temporary address then back to the permanent?

Certain areas are probably more backlogged than others. It is pretty much a case of waiting, or trying to get in touch with the USCIS CS. And higher if you can. Try your congressman too.
