  1. Just received text notification that our I485 is now ready for Interview Scheduling... Hope to get that Interview Schedule letter soon... :dancing:

I could say it is a Lucky Thursday for me...

Hopefully I will get mine soon too. I filed a week after you and mine should be in Detroit MI too. Is that where your biometrics was? Mine was there on the same day as yours.

  2. Best thing is to speak to an immigration lawyer and divorce lawyer and get them to speak to each other. I know some people have removed conditions on their Green Card after a divorce. I don't know if he can or can't get a green card after a divorce while AoS is pending. However you should be concerned about getting the divorce and making sure you aren't liable for the Affidavit of Support. Call USCIS and find out.

What happens to him after you inform USCIS of your intentions and proceed with a divorce are up to USCIS and the US Government.

Also a divorce can take a while, and if he contests can be costly. So bear that in mind. Best of luck.

  3. Make an Infopass appointment and bring proof of emergency: http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/travel-documents/emergency-travel

If her request is approved, she will be given AP on the spot.

Do not rely on what the website says, it's too risky: if she leaves the US before getting AP, her adjustment of status will consider abandoned.

I believe the link you meant to put is http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/travel-documents/emergency-travel (there is something on the end of the link making it go to a 404 page).

I agree. Don't leave before you get the AP in hand. When she leaves they will know she has left, and it could cause problems on return.

  4. Not sure where you got your info from, but I travel back and forth to the UK a lot for work, and this is closer to the higher end of the rates lately.

    http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=USD&to=GBP&view=1Y

I got mine from http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/sep/08/pound-slumps-scottish-yes-campaign-poll-lead as linked in my first post.

Which is shown by your graph too. The pound is at a 10 month low. I am confused at what you mean? We are both saying the same. Your rates show the pound is weaker and the dollar is stronger...

  5. Anyone who wants to move money between the US and UK.

If Scotland votes Yes for Independence then the Pound Sterling will weaken. Your GBP is worth less USD.

If Scotland vote No for Independence then the Pound Sterling with strengthen so your GBP is worth more USD.

The British Pound is at its 10-month low right now.

I don't plan to move my money between the USA and the UK at this point in time. My wife pays in the USA for my expenses and I pay in the UK for hers (well we haven't visited the UK since I moved 2 months ago, but we will at some point).
