    Thank you all!

It was great. There were 80 people from 40 different countries. We handed in our letters and green cards, the judge said a wonderful speech, each country was called and the new citizen stood to represent were they were immigrating from and everyone clapped each person. We took our oath together and sang the star spangled banner. Someone sang the national anthem. Afterwards, we took pictures with the judges and a line of witnesses shook our hands and handed me and my family American flags. All the feels. Good luck everyone on your journey.

No to both!  I didn't even know they do that?  Maybe it depends on the state you're in, but they didn't do that here in Eastern WA.
  4. Thanks

I applied on March 1st and became a citizen on June 1st. Wow that was fast!! I would say applying online and paperless was a great way to go, so simple and easy. If you can, apply online.

    Filed 28th Feb/March 1st (it was midnight!)
    Had interview on April 25th.
Interview was easy and immigration officer was very nice and chatty going back and forth from formal to informal in-between.
Asked 6 questions all of which were right.
    1. If president and Vice President can't serve, who becomes president?
    2. Name one part of government.
    3. How long does a senator serve?
    4. What does the President's cabinet do?
    5. How many justices on the Supreme Court?
    6. What did the declaration of independence do?
I have notice that oath ceremony notice was mailed. Fast and easy! 56 days from when I applied to interview.
Live in smaller less populated state (NH), field office was very quiet for both biometrics and interview.

I applied online on March 1st.
Had interview April 25th and passed. 56 days between applying and interview!
Oath ceremony is scheduled (I don't know what date yet).
Interview was easy, make sure you study though, the easiest way was to play the questions and answers on audio via the USCIS site. I think its much more helpful as you can answer as you learn, before I was using the multiple choice questions and answers online which is not a believable test since the real test is oral and not multiple choice.
My case status online says my oath ceremony is scheduled and a letter is out. Phew, I was getting worried as my online account said I was approved and a couple of days later that notice has been removed/nowhere to be seen online.
Thankfully I realized I could check status by using receipt notice number too (completely different format) and I've just found out my oath ceremony has been mailed just now after worrying for two days as to why the approval notice was removed from my online account.
I think my case was so fast because I live in NH, I did my green card etc in NY and it was a very different experience.
    Good luck everyone!

Well, today I had my interview so I would like to share my experience with you all.
my interview was scheduled for 09:30am at local office in Kansas City Missouri. My wife and I arrived around 09:00, went trough security within few minutes and I was instructed to give my letter to one of the IO at the counter #1.
he told me to wait until they call my name. 10 min later IO officer who conducted my interview called my name. This guy was everything people think when they consider dealing with government. Former military and state trooper, short hair buzz, very very “cold”. He swore me in and ask me for my GC, verified my fingerprint and photo and then we went to English portion of the test. He ask me to read “Who lives in White House”, then asked me to write answer to that question. Then we proceed to civic part, missed one question (first one).
    1. Name governor of your state
    2. How many senators we have
    3. Name two Holliday's
    4. Who was first president
    5. What did MLK did?
    6. Name 3 original colonies
    7. Name of the speaker of the house

After that was done, we went over my N-400 form, this went very fast. I told him that I made mistake on my application with question about weapons training, explained I had weapons safety training when I got my CCW and IO informed me that was not consider weapons training. Then I verified my info again and he told me that I will revive my oath ceremony letter in 3-5 weeks and to follow instructions on paper that will be mailed with it.
    Entire  process lasted 10 min.

by the time I got home I revived 3 emails, last one saying my oath ceremony letter with date and time was sent out, now I need to wait until it’s updated on my account page.

that is it. I applied 2/24/18 and soon my journey will be over.

I was in the same situation and just followed the prompts to file online, I think it took me to the 5-year rule as I did not have to show anything but green card and marriage cert. It did not ask for me to take tax returns to interview either but asked for husbands birth cert. We don't have it so I took his passport instead but the only thing he asked to see at my interview was my green card and home countries passport. Apply online it took less than two months from day I applied to interview today. All done, now waiting for ceremony. Super easy process, good luck.

I applied online and was not asked to supply tax returns or to take them to interview, I took them anyway but wasn't asked to see them. If they are asking for them on your letter, supply them. If they are not, do not. But maybe just print last years for good measure just incase, follow the guidelines in your letter to the tee. Some are applied with 3 year rule or 5 year rule etc, it may be different. You should only do what your letter states.

If I am not mistaken you can apply 90 days before you reach 5 years of residency.
