They said if you submit another form then they'll just disregard the first one and accept the latest form you submitted.

I just checked my 2GO status and it says this:
5/22/2014 9:10:35 AM IN-TRANSIT 5/22/2014 3:33:34 PM ACCEPTED SHIPMENT FROM CUSTOMER 5/22/2014 5:12:36 PM IN-TRANSITWhen do you think my visa will be available for pick-up (SM Manila)?
tomorrow, that's for sure.

Hi guys. I just called 2GO courier (Philippines) and they said that my visa is already in transit and will be delivered by tomorrow (so happy for that) but when I asked about my son's visa they said that the embassy haven't released it yet. called the embassy too to double check it, and they said the same thing. I checked his ceac status and there's no changes with his "ISSUED" status.
my question is, is it normal for our visa not to be delivered at the same time??? should it be together with my visa??? anyone who experienced this??? hope you can enlighten me guys.

hi. yes. he said 2 people inteview him. One was filipina. the questions are:
1. How did you meet your wife?
2. Do you have some pictures of you and your wife?
3. She ask for the skype conversations( My husband doesnt have this during interview, but we have pics that we are on skype)
2nd interview was the final interview with american
1. How many attend in your wedding day?
Thats it. He told him congratulations you passed. welcome to america.
congratz on your visa approval ahnnel. just wanna ask based on your husband's interview experience, so the CO didn't even ask for your ITR's or financial documents???
-
Congratulations!!! hope you can share his interview experience
-
wow congratulations to you so they didn't even ask for a 2013 ITR etc just your cemar? are you a CR1/IR1 case?
-
Maybe the CO will ask for the 2013 taxes or maybe not. But why take the chance and potentialy introduce a delay? Especially for something that is easy to do. The extension form literally takes a minute to fillup and if he prefers he can even e-file it too.
If you look at the past interview threads, this is one thing most of them advice you to do. Basically if the interview falls after April 15, the CO might ask you for proof that you filed last year's taxes.
so if ever I'll tell the truth that he haven't filed any forms with regards with the 2013 tax return and will surely file it once I get there and having W2 and paystubs on my hand they'll still going to ask for it and have the visa issuance delay?

Hi M&M01! Wow Its nice to know someone with the same anniversary date. Good luck with your interview. I think its normal to feel nervous about interview. I know exactly what you are feeling right now.But don't worry too much, its still possible for you to be together on June 1. They issue the visa the next day,and so people usually received their visa in like 3-4 days. But my husband received his visa 7 days after interview because his interview happened to be on a Thursday. So it took longer for him, and then April 9 was also a holiday. Just hope and pray that you passed the interview and dont get a delay on your case. Be sure to bring all the documents that was asked from you. Also, just be prepared and bring an updated I-864(affidavit of support form) with 2013 tax transcript or tax return form + w2. Bring also a CEMAR certificate just in case they ask.
In regards to my husband's interview, they only asked for my updated I-864. Also there is no fee to pay during interview. Its after your received your visa then you'll find instruction about a fee for your green card.
just wanna ask again, so your husband didn't even ask for you 2013 tax transcript or W2 or even the tax return form??? its just the updated I-864???
-
Nope your last fee will be $165 you pay online at ELIS after interview up to a year to pay. You will get all information on that when you pick up Visa.
Unless your embassy has delivery charges of your passport/Visa no more fees.
thanks dwheels76
Unless your husband falls into a special exemption categories, he has to file either an extension, or a tax return by April 15. I suggest he should look into filing an extension (extends the deadline to Oct 15) asap. It's a very short form and it would only take him about a minute to fill it up. He can put 0 in the amount owed field. You can use the extension form as "proof" that he filed taxes for 2013.
Not related to immigration, there's actually a significant $$ penalty for not filing by April 15. Hope that helps.
thanks for the info what if my husband is like planning to have his taxes filed when im already with him with my SS# and willing to pay for like more or less 2 months of penalty. he didn't file for an extension or etc. but he's income is way over 125% of the poverty line. would the W2 and paystubs be enough? or the consulate would really look for it? my man is just sometimes a hard headed guy he said he haven't had any problem filing taxes before not until we got married LOL. anyways with our P4 email we didn't even have any checklist etc.
It is not a good idea at all to buy the tickets before receiving the Visa in hand. You can never tell...
we know that. its just sometimes you just wanna be there already and be with the person you love (even without having a visa ) LOL

oh thanks a lot for all these info, really appreciate this so it seems like its maximum of 7 days to get the visa on hand. keeping our fingers crossed that we'll be together on our 1st anniv. every one of us just wanna be with our loved ones already. anyways i'll make sure I wont forget this documents. oh and by the way what if my husband haven't filed his 2013 tax transcript coz the HR (tax expert) on their department advised him to just wait for me until im already there and there's no need to hurry up even its past the tax filing deadline since IRS owes my husband bigtime like he'll get a huge amount of return. but he's having his latest W2s and paystubs that I can bring to the interview. and also on our P4 we don't have any special special document that they requested to bring in the interview but i'll still have all of these documents that you mentioned except for a 2013 tax transcript. do you think that would be a problem??? thank you again God bless you and your family
M&M01 hi... my sister in law got their passport with visa 5 days after the interview.. and one of my friend also got her passport with visa 6 days after interview..
that would be great for us, hoping for that kind of scenario thanks for the info

I also wonder what the date (24 jun 2013) means. I know for sure that its not the I-130 NOA1 because my noa1 is aug 2013. So I think all the P4 email that NVC send have that date. Its funny coz when I receive'd my P4 just 3 wks ago, I was a bit dissapointed because I thought its the date of my husband's schedule for the interview. I didn't even pay attention to the year 2013. I just noticed the 24 june, so I felt sad thinking that my husband and I have no chance to be together on our 1st wedding anniversary on June 1 hahaha. But I was so happy when I read the letter and found out the interview is April 3 instead.
came across your message when I was wondering/searching the meaning of that (24june2013) in our P4 email. felt relieved too that its like they attached that date in all the P4 emails for every one. anyways I saw that we had the same wedding anniversary date (june 1) already got my interview May 14, but we don't know when or how many days they'll issue the visa after the interview. seems like we cant expect to be together on june 1 my husband already want to book a flight but its like we're worrying (even though we don't have to) bout a denial or a delay. can I ask you when did your husband receive his visa? and how did his interview went?

Yes I am hopeful. There was a point in my life that I thought this was impossible.
I believe at that moment God began to put in motion a thousand things that
have brought me to this point. My wife and I have laughed, loved, cried and
prayed and now we find ourselves near the end with thankful hearts.I have played it out
in my heart what it will be like to step off the plane holding my wife and little boys
hand and be together here for the first time. I know it will be a moment pure praise!
indeed, this journey has been like a rollercoaster ride, one day your happy having your NOA2 then depressed and began being impatient waiting again to have your case number then again your on your extreme gladness if you get your # then waiting period again etc. but I think this just makes our family tighter and stronger with all the struggles that we need to overcome just to be together and finally closed the distance between our loved ones. God bless us all VJ members

Thats right... Its just for me its too late to learned that. Though you cant blame yourself for worrying about a littlest mistake and making you resubmit forms etc coz you want this while process to be perfect. Anyways it caused us a short delay but everything went good. We're already here for almost a year. Goodluck on ya'll journey.
