well the IV bill depends on when did you fill up the DS-261. we're on the same situation, getting so frustrated with the IV invoice. I filled DS-261 feb 18 and still no IV invoice. my husband called them and said 10-15 business days. it'll our 15th on 11. hopefully we'll have our IV by then.
this NVC process is really taking a loooooooooonnnnnggggggg time thatn expected.
-
as far as I have read among the VJers who had the same situation as yours, they said that your IV bill will be available anytime soon, maybe tomorrow you can already pay it. they said if it shows like that it means that their already loading up the payment system for it.
came across a forum that their talking about the same situation as yours coz we're so desperate of our IV bill that is still not available until now. hopefully we'll be able to have it next week.
-
It's fine. You're way over-thinking this. I have never seen a checklist for the Choice of Agent form...
thank you Ms. Saylin. im just getting frustrated with this invoicing thing. I saw someone from India who did their DS-261 form feb 19 and they already got theirs.
-
same here, 5th week running and still no IV
did you call NVC for that? wow 5 weeks is really a loooong time for an IV bill. hope we don't need to wait that long.
Ms. Saylin would it have a problem if I didn't put my husbands complete name on my DS-261. its just his first and last name.
-
Hi Saylin & VJers
just wanna ask if it'll have a problem if I only put my husband's first name and last name on my agents info on DS-261? or it should be a completer name including his second name? im really getting frustrated right now and thinking of things/reason why our IV fee is not yet invoiced even though I know its coz of the backlog. would NVC email us if somethings wrong with the DS-261?
so frustrated over this IV bill

The IV package is about the beneficiary; only their documents are needed. The petitioner would have already sent their divorce certificates in the I-130 package.
that's what I read too Ms. Saylin to you posts. its just some members are posting infos that are totally different that makes me confused. guess I need to stick what Ms. Saylin is saying
-
anyone here who filed DS-261 Feb.18 and still don't have there IV invoiced???
-
When you had sent your I-130 you would have sent a copy of your husbands divorce decree to USCIS. I am not sure whether NVC needs a certified copy or original of petitioner's divorce decreee or not but we did send it in.
that's right we did sent my husband's divorce decree with our I-130. just got confused with that IV packet needing that paper. so it really just imply for the beneficiary. if ever the beneficiary has a divorce decree, it should be sent also in that IV packet
-
hi VJers and Saylin
first of all, sorry for your lost Ms. Saylin.
I just wanna asked since I saw this member posting something about the IV packet required documents. he said that a if applicable: a divorce decree should be included in it? so should we include my husband's ( the petitioner) divorce decree? I just thought IV packet is all about the beneficiary.
-
really? does it just apply if the beneficiary has this divorce decree? since IV packet is really all about the beneficiary. so should I include my husbands (the petitioner) divorce decree?

does the divorce decree really included in the AOS packet? so if we didn't include it we're going to have a checklist because of that?

really?! you can use the barcoded sheet of AOS for you IV package? you got me confused there, i read the cover sheets it has different wordings tho but i guess that isn't important. ours still onhand, NVC hasnt cashed out in husbands accoutn also so were still waiting.
have the same reaction here can you really do that? even if the wording are not appropriate for an IV cover sheet? coz it has this first paragraph saying
"The next step in the immigration process is for the
Petitioner to submit an Affidavit of Support. A link to the
instructions has been provided for you on the Receipt Page.
You can also find the instructions on the NVC website at

can I ask for a sample cover letter for the AOS packet, pls VJers :-)

IV fee still not available
-
Each package has their own 30 business day time frame. Doesn't matter if you send them together or separate, as they'll each go into their own queue. But, the benefit of sending the AOS package ASAP is that it'll be reviewed sooner than if you wait to send it with the IV package. The only benefit really of sending them together is that you'll save on a mailing envelope. That's about it.
thanks a lot Saylin,

hi Saylin :-)
need your opinion here, we already paid our AOS last feb 7 and its been paid on their system feb 10. we're wanting to send our AOS and IV packets at the same time but it looks like our IV fee will take some time to be invoiced so we're like thinking if it would be best if we're going to send our AOS packet on Monday. my question is, is the AOS and IV packet has the same 30 days review time? would it lessen the review time for our IV packet if we're going to send our AOS packet first? or its still 30 days upon receiving IV packet?
-
Make sure when you're quoting someone, to put your answer OUTSIDE of the quote
To answer, no that's not a problem. When NVC gets to your DS-261, they'll be looking at the most up-to-date one.
Thanks so much Saylin, you lessen my anxiety :-) i'll always remember too to reply outside of the quote :-)

The IV bill is based on NVC accepting and adding the DS-261 to the case file. Due to the recent holidays and weather closures, they've obviously fallen behind and are in a backlog, so time frames are gonna be a little longer.
Thank you Saylin,
One more thing, I filled out my DS-261 last feb.4 ut until feb.17 we still don't have our IV fee available so then I reviewed my form and found out I made a mistake with the country of my husband (agent) that should be US instead of Philippines so I edited it and sent it again and had a acceptance letter again like the one we had before. would this be a problem? and will cause a delay?
-
hi Saylin/everyone
just wanna ask, what are the possible reasons for the IV fee bill to take so long to be invoiced/available.?

We also made a mistake on the 261. We submitted a 2nd one and when we called them they said that one would just replace the first one we did. So you dont need to worry about doing it twice.
Thanks TYorke1, felt relieved now. God bless

hi guyz and Ms. Saylin
we received an email response regarding our inquiry about our DS-261. our son got a right response to it but with my case their talking about the DS-260 form even though we haven't received our IV invoice so we're really not there yet, filling out DS-260. so I know its a wrong response, should we just disregard it or I need to call NVC just to make sure?
