@RN_SUN hi, dear! Did you receive any updates after your interview. I got an update about an hour ago about my I-751 that “new card is being produced”.  So if it’s not a glitch then I don’t even need an interview for I-751. And just waiting for n400 online approval and oath. And of course I will never get the actual green card as I already passed n-400 interview.

Omg!!!! I haven’t got any news for my cases yet. They are completely snoring 💤 😴 still.

Congratulations to you !!!! Finally!!! Yeah!!! 🤗🥂🎉🎊

Hopefully, I can hear mine soon too. 😬

Ok, I just went to my N400 interview which was supposed to be a joint interview with i751 (downtown LA, California).

Everything went smooth and calm but I only had n400 part.

I was in a waiting room for more than hour and a half and when someone called my name my husband and I stood up and went to officer. He said that he doesn’t need my husband. I asked how come it’s only me because I still have i751 pending and we both were getting ready for the interview. He said “don’t panic, let’s do n400 first and then I will forward i751 to another officer for review”

He only asked me 6 questions:

-what people were taken to America as slaves

-how many amendments does the constitution have

-what is the highest court in the United States

    -who makes federal laws

    -name of Vice President

-why did colonists fight the British.

Then he asked me to read “Which state has most people?” And then write down the answer “California has the most people”

Then we went through “yes/no” questions. I had a feeling that officer was really tired and bored while reading all that. His office was a bit messy. But he didn’t make me feel stressed or nervous.

After that he did something in his computer for quite some time and printed a paper saying that we are done for today and I will be contacted regarding my i751. I asked him if that will be another interview, and he said: “maybe yes, maybe no, you will be notified. That’s it. But you passed today’s test”

He gave me a paper with a check mark in the section “decision can not be made at this moment”

He didn’t ask for any additional documents like tax return, family photo etc. only passport and green card (which was taken away when I went to infopass to get a stamp).

That was it. So now what? Just another waiting game? Will there be another interview or people with same experience as I had are getting approved soon after the interview or waiting for another month/year?

I swear I thought I will sh** myself while I was waiting. But there was absolutely nothing to be afraid of.  Just learn the questions.

I just went for an interview today in Downtown LA too. And I got the same thing as your case.

I passed the test, the decision has not been made yet.

My 10yrs green card is still in processing like your too.

Will see, what’s going to be next step!!! 😬

  4. Hi Everyone! I am one of the February filers in 2017 who have not received the new 10 years green card yet. However, I have an urgent case to go out side the state ASAP. I just made an appointment for the Stamp thing on green card or passport (1 more year extension). I wonder if I can leave on the next day  after the appointment date? Is there anymore thing I have to do other than getting the stamp before going?

  5. Congratulations!!!

    Thanks ?

Enjoy the credit card size green thingy that was the source of all the pain and frustration for the last year...and when you look at it, a lot of the disgust and anger with USCIS starts to fade (though not all)...Engoy your Memorial Day weekend...

    Thanks. Happy Memorial Day !!!!

    Congrats!

    Thanks

Congratulations :) Lets celebrate with you that special day :) So how long have you been waiting ?

Thanks. It's been exactly one year as you can see in my timeline signature here

Your date in blue says october.

You should be getting yours soon, I guess cuz your timeline is almost the same as mine.

  6. My letter says "Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. Presently, we anticipate that delay to be approximately 6 months from the date of this letter." Didn't yours say that too?

here was what i received from the e-request. i actually did it 2 times, but they both were the same.

" The status of this service request is:

On 04/23/2015, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I485 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your application is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your application.

    What You Can Do

Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the near future. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful to you."

  7. I'm confused! I keep reading that AOS cases are sometimes sent to other field offices than the one you filed for? My USCIS case status says it's still at the Nebraska Service Center, but it probably isn't there? Is that what I am gathering from the posts I've been reading?

We filed in early Sept 2014, got an Interview waiver letter Dec 11, 2014 and have one more month until our 6 months is up for that (not that it seems to matter). My husband is starting school June 22nd and we really need to file for loans but can't without the GC. Any tips?

Also, what is "normal processing times" for AOS?

I don't think it's 6 months waiting. Mine was exactly 8 months waiting from the date I received the letter.
