Both parents received their visa last month. The embassy held their passports for two months due to slow processing times.
Congratulations! There’s still a lot of restrictions in the Philippines due to COVID so I don’t know how long will it take for them to get interview dates.

Hello!
Did your parents got interviewed already? How long did you wait from DQ to interview date?
Hi, my parents are still waiting for their interview dates 😞 I think if not for Covid, we should be looking at 6 months to 1 year processing. Our case will be 2 years already by February.

Yes you can. It’s a request to expedite with reasons provided. You just need to send email for request and attach all evidence with email.please use link attached for more info. Hope this helps. If approved, you get in line for interview ahead of denied you stay where you are. My parents are DQ since Jan 2021

Hi thank you for this, but quick question, do I have to send in one email request for both parents? or need to send separate emails for each one of them?

Hi! Hows the process going?
Does your parents have interview dates now?
I am so confused with my case RN. I just got a message from NVC three days ago asking for my joint sponsor's w-2. I sent them yesterday.
I dont know if NVC will have to place me back on line or they'll review it again as soon as I submitted it.
How long did you wait after you re-submit the I-864 to be Documentarily Qualified?
Hello, my parents are still waiting for their interview dates. Unfortunately mine got reviewed after like a month or two once you submit the documents they want.

I just filled the I-130 form for my dad online and they didn’t request for form I-864 or anything in addition. Perhaps maybe I really do not know what I was doing or could be that the mandate to end “affidavit of support” has been effected. Well, if anyone has any comment or 2 about this topic don’t hesitate chip in.
Hello, you are fine, you will need to submit the 1-864 when you get to NVC stage, there are links in this website you can read for you to know the process of applying visa for your family

Hi I do have an update, my Father was DQ’d May and for my Mom they asked to resubmit the 1-864 because I was missing the 10th page. She was DQ’d as well only this month. Now we are just waiting for the interview dates, and I hope they would still get the same dates.

Hi my Father was DQ’d May, but for my Mom they asked to resubmit 1-864 because I did not notice that I was missing the last page. She was DQ’d only this month. I hope they would still get same interview dates. They are in the Philippines right now.

Hello, everyone! Does NVC send an approval notice after the civil documents are submitted through NVC portal? If so, is it done though email or mail and how log does it usually take after the documents are submitted? Thank you all in advance!
Yes they usually would send an email after 2-3 months if all required documents have been reviewed, if not they will ask for the documents you are missing.

Nice!!! It’s been a year I think! My father is just waiting now for an appointment date, but I just submitted a missing document for my mother’s case. I am hoping they would still have the same appointment dates.

I got one too because my birth was registered 3 years after I was born. This is a common practice in my country, before uscis was ok without but after 2017 they will require secundary evidence for all births registered a year or more after the birth, didn't know that until now, so I am gathering as much documents as I can to send it next month.
School record
Baptism certificate
Affidavit of two relatives
And photos
Yes better prepare everything ahead

Got an RFE from NVC for several documents but I am confused why my birth certificate got rejected. That is my original scanned document. I am naturalized citizen so my birth certificate is from the Philippines, and it is from the authorized agency. I am not sure where else can I get my birth certificate.

USCIS got my documents on Jan 4. That was approved and sent to NVC on May 20.
I sent all docs to NVC on June 21.
on around august 19 I got RFP for both parents due to incorrect police cert (they needed RCMP for Canada).
I submitted those on august 26.
then finally I got an update yesterday, November 5. Mom was approved but dad got another RFE because I accidentally added my moms police cert to my dads profile loll. So I updated that yesterday and to my utter shock they approved that document in one day, November 6!
Quite the NVC ride. Now just chilling till interviews open again.
Hi, are they giving appointment dates for interviews already? Or just approvals for submitted NVC documents?

Thanks for confirming, I also confirmed that this means both cases are indeed linked, and I went ahead and completed the IV fee payment.
And yes, you're right, I went through I-864 instructions and it's clear that we will need 2 separate forms for each parent.
Got it! Anyway will they have the same interview date? I mean for both parents

We received a case status update for my father's case earlier this morning (Case Was Sent to The Department of State), as well as the NVC case creation email, with a new case number, different than my mother's case number that was created 4 months ago.
What surprised me is that the AOS fee in my father's NVC case that was just created is shown as (Paid), but I can't find any other indication that both cases are linked.
Shall I proceed with paying my father's IV fee?
What about financial documents to be uploaded, will uploading it in one case be automatically reflected on the other case? Or I'll be uploading it twice?
Hi! We have the same situation, I just received the email from NVC, and the AOS fee has a status of “PAID”. I went ahead and pay for the IV processing fee. Just to be safe I guess we still have to upload the AOS and financial documents for each of our parents, as they are different cases. I’m just surprised too that there is only 1 AOS fee for both cases.

I have some good news too!! After months of waiting My father’s case has been approved today ☺️☺️☺️ I thought it will be a 2yrs wait since his case was transferred from Nebraska to Vermont. I am now just waiting for the NVC email. I am so glad we can move on to the next process now both for my parents, since I have not started my mother’s case yet at NVC. Hoping to hear more good news from all of you ☺️

Congratulations! That was fast! I thought vermont has a long processing timeframe. Because my father’s case was transferred to vermont and it says on the website normal processing is up to 27 months

I checked my receipts and realized that the office of Texas has been holding my cases... do you think whether I should call them for asking about how the process of my cases has been so far?
I would check first the processing time for Texas center and if it is already more than the normal processing time that’s the time I would call them Or you can send an inquiry email to them.

Hi Mary_ann,
Please advise whether I should make a call to USCIS towar may parents' cases? I submitted I-130 forms online on March 08 and no heard anything back from USCIS except of receipts till now...There were a lot of cases approved and I am truly worrying about my application.
Hi which USCIS center processing your parent’s case? My mother’s case was processed in Potomac and they approved it after 3 months. My Father’s case is still processing in Vermont Center, based on USCIS processing time, it will take 27 months for this center to process a case 😔. So it really depends on which center on how long your parents case will be processed.

Hi Mary_ann !
How did you call NVC to clarify the matter ? What is the procedure and phone number ? Thanks .
Hi I did not call NVC. It was USCIS that I called for the status of my father’s Case. Sorry for the confusion.

I just called NVC and I was told that my Father’s case was sent to Vermont (initially processed in Nebraska) 😩😩😩 I guess I don’t have to wait and proceed with my mother’s case with NVC. Vermont is still processing June 2018 and both parent’s PD are Feb 2020, almost 2 years 😭😭😭 why is it have to be that way, my mother’s case got approved so early (3months after submission) but my father’s case got stuck 😭
My bad it is not NVC, but the USCIS that I called about my father’s case being stucked at Vermont Center

Hope you all are doing well. I just got the news NVC approved my Dad's documents.
Meanwhile, my mom's I-130 application is still under initial review. I filed both I-130 applications online at the same time, but now my dad's is way ahead of my mom's...
Oh well...
that’s a good news!
