I am officially a United States citizen! Woot woot!
Here is how it went. The ceremony was scheduled for 12 PM at Chicago Federal Building. The check-in started at 11.30 AM. A nice USCIS officer asked us to form two lines in the hall in front of the courtroom door: people, who are taking an oath and guests. At the entrance to the room one USCIS employee checked the letters, and then once people entered another person collected green cards and notices. It took us all about 30 min to get checked in. There were 110 people from 31 countries taking an oath plus guests. Guests were let in after all the people taking oath got situated and checked in. Needless to say the courtroom was full. Each of us had a welcome packet on a seat that included the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, Information about voting and registration, passport application, and naturalization certificate holder. There was no welcome letter from the current President ( not disappointed).
The ceremony itself didn't start until 1:10 or 1:15 PM. Almost all the time before that a USCIS officers was telling us what to do after the naturalization and how us getting naturalized is going to affect our minor children if we have any. It was very nice and the officer was very pleasant. When the judge came in she gave a wonderful speech the main message of which was that we are all welcome no matter our ethnic, religious or racial background, that we should be building bridges and not walls. At certain parts of her speech I felt my eyes well up with tears. The speech was really heartfelt and strong. We took the oath and then one by one received the certificates. Judge allowed us to take pictures (it is prohibited in the federal building unless a judge grants a special permission). She also shook everyone's hand and took pictures with us.
I enjoyed the ceremony very very much!

Status was changed to "Interview Scheduled" on Friday, Jan 5, and the notice arrived today (Thursday, Jan 11).
Interview is scheduled for February 13, 2018. Waiting for my case to move on was definitely hard thing but I'm not complaining, at least nothing went wrong so far.
Could someone update me on the timeline? Whenever I try to do it myself the format always gets broken.
Those of you still waiting or still in process to receive oath ceremony notice, and etc... I highly recommend you signup for Informed Delivery so you don't miss the mail!
I usually forget to check the mailbox daily but I receive an email every morning so I don't miss anything.
Seeing the image like this in your email definitely gives you a peace of mind.

Happy New Year, my fellow "patient" March filers!
Funny to think I was worried about my interview being schedule during a vacation I took back in September... actually, not at all funny.
But... there are many people awaiting their USCIS communication and not already living here. So for that part I am grateful. I have a roof over my head and food to eat. I have a UK passport, I can travel, and I still have another year left on my current GC.
@MAHUNA, my fellow Seattleites, and all on this thread, I have everything crossed for you to receive the "interview scheduled" update soon!

If you are not employed and have never been employed you should put "N/A" and when you send the case you can write a cover letter explaining your situation and attach copies of documents from SSA that verify the fact that you are on SSD and SSI.

Happy New Years all. I'm happy to report that we finally got the oath letter for my husband. It will be on 1/16 (noon, at the Federal building on S. Dearborn). His timeline:
UserName.......... |GC-Date..|Sent..|Cashed|NOA...|Fprints..|In Line..|Int ltr.. |Intrview.|Oath.....|Field Office......|NBC/IOE
N400Chicago5(hus) |01/01/08|??/????|??/??.|03/21.|04/15/17.|04/21/17.|10/018/17|11/18/17.|1/16/17.|Chicago, IL |NBC
Further details - After his interview, he was handed a letter saying he was 'approved'. On Dec 11 his case was updated to 'in-line for oath'; on Dec 27 his case was updated to 'oath scheduled'. We got the oath letter on Dec 30 (it was post-marked Dec 27).
Wishing everyone the very best in 2018.
