  1. hmm don't you think they can denie me at poe if i don't mention the ed at the medical ? or does cbp not ask about or pull out the record on previous visits? last time i was there they question me but not about the ed so i don't know if i should just not mention it at the medical since i was never diagnosed. i worry to much

someone that knows what cbp look at when u arrive with a k1? to they go through ur medical answers and so? do they watch the tape of your secondary screening since its recorded i mean i don't know hehe maybe my fantasi is to wild lol i just want to be over prepared and have no surprises

I'm neither a lawyer nor a cbp officer so I don't know. From what others have said they don't look at your medical results at the border, just ask you a few questions about your petitioner and put you in the system.

  2. I'd like to know what percentage of the women polled feel that an honest compliment is the same as harassment.

Make a new poll. But make it honest, and mention that we're talking about compliments given to you by a stranger you've never spoken to before, as the first thing they say.

Keep the militant lesbianitards out of the sample and it'll be quite low.

    Classy.

  3. If you think you have it bad just think how difficult it is for three-sums who would like to be called a family (by law) and enjoy the benefits of that.

though there are cases making their way through the court, right now they yet have no state which honors their desires either.

No, it's about human rights.... it is sad you don't get that.

I would fully support opening up marriage to any number of adults who can give informed consent. If your wife agrees with you marrying another woman or man, fantastic. If not, you get to pick. Good luck. It's when you start dragging children into it that things turn creepy, and illegal for good reason. As for the relative thing, personally it squicks me out, but that should not be a basis for law. Obviously there's an issue with coupling between generations, because you can't guarantee the difference in power ever went away, nor that the child wasn't groomed for it. There's also a concern about genetic abnormalities for any children born to such union, but that can be handled with a different set of laws, I guess. Any call on the biblical definition of marriage is ridiculous, because of the obvious difference in circumstance between now and 2000 years ago. The short answer: I don't know. The definition of marriage is and should be evolving. Don't like interracial marriage? Don't marry out of your race. Don't like same-sex marriage? Don't marry someone of the same sex. Let the rest of us try to slowly make this world a better, freer place.

But Not a Tailor already covered all these points, and none of it registered with you. You have this way of twisting arguments until they're unrecognizable, throwing in things that are related only if you squint, cover your eyes and look sideways and generally making the discussion so ###-backwards no one wants to argue with you anymore. I don't even know why I'm replying, and I probably won't to anything you post after this.

  4. It really does not matter where you get married, so much as where your residence is. In the end, a marriage certificate is just a piece of paper, that carries with it some 1,300+ rights that would take a mountain of paper to replicate.

Of course, you need to bear in mind that only 50 years ago, an interracial marriage was considered a crime out country. Eventually America will get on the right side of history.

In the end it doesn't, no, but it's for sentimental reasons. Nikki would like to get married in the state she was born and spent most of her life in, where her family is. It kind of stings that we're not allowed. At least if they have recognition of out-of-state marriages we'll be legally protected like all other married couples.

  5. i was never diagnosed by anyone i know i had an eating disorder tho but i never looked for help i got through it with help from friends and family. we dont have a family doctor. is it any other way to get the note ?

You could contact a psychiatrist privately, but seriously, I just wouldn't mention it. You were never diagnosed. No diagnosis, no history of illness. Why complicate things for yourself?

  6. If your beneficiary has gone through medical...

Is 'Hep A' (1 shot of its series) required prior to EOD?

Her doc recommended to start the series in the states since the second shot must be taken 6mo later.

Would suck if this doc's recommendation screws up her interview.

Assuming she's over 18 years old hep A isn't required at all unless her doctor specifically recommends it because of some medical issue she has.

  7. Yeah, I think you got bad advice. K1s are often processed as immigrant visas. From here http://kabul.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas.html

It is important to note that almost all visa processing prior to the interview is conducted by the National Visa Center in the United States. With K (fiancé/e) visa appointments, the Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul will contact applicants with required documentation and an appointment date.

For me that's exactly what happened, they sent me an email and we worked out an interview date. If I were you I'd try to contact the embassy, or at least check in the regional forum.

    Hi everyone,

So this morning I spent about 40 minutes on hold with the NVC, and when someone finally answered she only spoke to me for about a minute. She told me that I had to go to usembassy.gov and to my country to get an appointment.

I found Kabul and on that website I did the following:

    • Under Visas I clicked on Non-Immigrant Visas (I am filing for a K1 and filled out a DS 160)
    • Clicked on this link : http://kabul.usembas...for_a_visa.html.
    • Then clicked on a link that sent me to: evisaforms.state.gov
    • I clicked "Schedule an Appointment"
    • Then I filled out questions such as:
      • Surname
      • Given name
      • Passport Number
      • Barcode Number (OF DS 160 Confirmation page)
      • Email
      • Telephone
    • Next I was able to choose a date and time.
    • Printed out the Confirmation page

It was so easy! But that is exactly my concern! I feel as if it was too easy. Has anyone else gone through this method? Is the appointment date for the interview actually valid?

    Many thanks!

P.S. I'm not just asking about Kabul, I would like to know everyone's story.

  8. Here is the truth. If you know women, then you know how to flirt and you know instantly when a very subtle flirt is appreciated and you can up the level a bit.

I am not talking about cat calls and degrading comments.

I am talking about smiling while talking, the eye brow arch. If she smiles back , titls her head, plays with her hair drive on.

You must work really, really fast to be able to do all that while she's passing you by on the street.

English only outside the regional forums!

For some reason I expected better from you

  9. A week old question, but I haven't been here.

It is readily available in the US, so yes you will get one and pay a civil surgeon to put it and your other shots all on one new form, the I-693.

For immigrant visas like the CR1 who do not do AOS, "not readily available" allows a waiver. They will get a greencard upon entry to the US, so they must pass muster by the visa Interview. If they can't get a shot in their home country, the requirement is waived.

A K1 has time in the US to comply with requirements before they submit AOS application. So that waiver won't fly for you.

Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

In the meantime I had a serum test for varicella antibodies and it came up positive, so that confirms I've had it. I should have argued with the doctor more, but she had already filled it out and was convinced I wouldn't need anything else. Do you think a civil surgeon would accept an officially translated report? Or is there a way to just slip it in with my medical report since I haven't had my interview yet?

  10. Well, that ruined all the fun. I agree with most of that.

    Sorry :D

You've made it clear what you don't like, but hopefully you understand that not all women think the way you do.

That's true. I haven't exactly counted, but it seems to me that the majority of women who have posted here agree with me. Yes somehow what men think ought to be counts just as much. It seems like the man's desire to compliment a woman is more important than how she actually feels about it, which should be the whole point of giving a compliment.

  11. What about compliments from women you don't know, is that a problem too?

You're dismissing centuries of gender inequality. If some random female stranger passing me by commented on my looks I wouldn't mind as much, but I'd still wonder what her deal was. It certainly wouldn't brighten my day or some such tripe. It should be common decency to not comment on people's bodies unless you've actually met them.

  12. If you don't want to be a part of normal, every day society, why not just where a shirt that says "I'm miserable, leave me alone"? Problem solved.

Ah, see, I don't like it so there must be something wrong with me. Other women agreeing with me on this thread? There must be something wrong with them too! Maybe it's that they're not men.

Out of curiosity, is it any "compliment" from a stranger or just certain types? I mean, if someone says, "nice cleavage", I can understand that. But like Marvin said, if you're wearing a really great looking hat, and he says, "nice hat" in passing, does that really bother you?

No. If you really like an item of clothing and she doesn't look like she really doesn't want attention, sure, go ahead. Hat is fine. Dude, nice shoes is fine. :D But it's about the item of clothing, not the woman. You're complimenting her sense of style, not looks. Nice dress might be dodgy, and here's why: I don't want to feel like a random stranger passing me by is checking out my body. We deal with creeps way more frequently than you might think, and you never know who you're dealing with. So anything that might be a camouflage for nice tits or nice butt, if you really care how the woman will feel, you'd stay clear.

  13. You arrived March 10 but your I-94 says your stay is over on May 27? Why is the time so short?

If they're suspicious sometimes they'll give you the exact time you asked for. I'm assuming OP presented their return ticket with is dated May 26th.
