Guys......we got it finally!!!! I cant even explain how i feel....
I am crossing my fingers and toes to see more approvals next week.
On March 28, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).
Congrats!

Class B shouldn't be a problem. I seriously doubt the consul will bring it up, but if you aren't in a hurry why not get the letter?

Fotografije nam posaljite postom. Dokumente mozete skenirati, te ih poslati emailom. Ako Vam jos nesto bude nejasno, slobodno nam pisite ili nas nazovite.
Na kucnu adresu cemo Vam poslati fotokopiju odobrene peticije I-129F.
S postovanjem,
- Fotokopiju valjane putovnice,
Rodni list- prevedeni, apostilirani.
Nalaze sve izvadila i dobila isti dan. Sama odnijela na intervju kovertu s nalazima.
Meni je bilo ok. Doktor je bio profesionalan. Sam pregled moze ti biti malo neugodan, ako si stidljiva osoba, jer se moras skinuti polugola, mora ispipati abdomen itd.
Sretno i cestitke! Jos malo i tu si!
A čuj, papirologija mi nije jača strana
Svakako javim ovdje.

Got packet 3 today via email. Unexpected since I thought they snail mailed them. Also had my medical today -- tetanus boosters are a pain XD

Congrats! So glad you finally got it

Really sorry to see this.

If you get pregnant now (or during the K-1 process), you run the risk of your fiance not being in the US with you when your baby is born. Lately, the process has been taking around 5 months for most people, but if you have any issues, or if for some reason you get denied, you'll either have to have the baby in the UK, or you'll be having that baby alone.
As Novembro said, pregnancies will not expedite your case. And maybe just something to think about: if something like paperwork is stressing you out like this, you might want to strongly consider whether or not you're ready to have a child.

Hi everyone!
I was wondering if someone could answer my questions in as much detail as possible. Many thanks in advance!
Timeline:
NoA1: 02/04
NoA2: 03/13
I received my hard copy of the NoA2. Now I know the next step is to wait for the NVC to give me a case number. I've gathered through this thread that I can try calling them for it. My questions are:
1) Once I receive the case number, then what?
2) Many people have mentioned that the ceac website says their case is READY. Ready for what?
3) Being that my fiancé is in Afghanistan and the mail service there is unpredictable, can I sign up for communication through email? If so, how can I enroll?
Thanks!
1) You can check your status, the way you did with your USCIS case number. Your fiancee will also need it to fill out the DS-160.
2) At the embassy and ready for interview
3) I don't know. You could try calling/emailing the embassy and asking.

Hope you work it out quicky, Chris

I'm sorry, I thought you said you were ending the relationship. Misrepresentation carries a lifetime ban, not 10 years, but there is a waiver available. There's a decent chance you won't get charged with it, the doctor might just amend your paperwork and let it go. And if they do flag you you get to explain at the interview that you were nervous and didn't meant to lie. In the end it's up to the CO. You could start a new thread and see if people have any advice. I don't know, I think you're throwing away your relationship over something that might or might not happen.

Yur kidding?
There it is.... the depth of your contribution here... funny photos.
Can't tell if sarcasm
Just pointing out that basing your entire argument on a word that was translated over and over to fit the aesthetics of whatever time (and language) the translation was done in is ridiculous.

You do realize the bible wasn't written in english, right?
-
So avoiding a ban is more important to you than your relationship? Wow. What's so important in the US that you're giving up the supposed love of your life without even trying?
-
Guy knows how to work suspense.
I hope they're celebrating!

A K1 could be done in 4-5 months if you're lucky, but she'd have to go back to Canada for the medical and interview. That would probably be two separate trips. Would she have a place to stay? Could you afford the trips? She would need a mailing address in Canada, too. There's also the issue of what the CBP officer would say if she tells them she's going to live with her girlfriend for 6 months while her fiance visa is processed.
Iono, sounds to me like she needs to lower her expectations of what her living standard should be. There's nothing wrong with renting a cheap room for a few months while you wait for a visa or even a few years while you're going to school. Not everyone gets to have an apartment. I understand wanting to protect her, but you could be screwing yourselves over so much more than if she just sucked it up for a little bit while the visa goes through.

Doh
copied and pasted the wrong option from the form. Should have drank more coffee first.
Sorry, couldn't resist
-
Let's hope not.
-
I'm really really nervous about it all too, but there really shouldn't be any issue. Thanks for good wishes and good luck to you too!
-
According to the timeline search you are, unless someone hasn't updated. Congrats! Hope they start rolling in
-
Congrats Zcomuto!
Are you the first January filer to get your visa?
-
1. No one can tell you what the wait will be. 5 months is their goal, after which you can file a service request and basically complain. From the Dallas lockbox they forward it to either California Service Center or Texas Service Center. If you get CSC you'll *probably* be processed in under two months, if not faster. If you go to TSC, well... no one can tell you. I'd say the average for TSC is about 3-4 months, but it's a lottery and varies wildly.
2. Not that I'm aware of, and it's against their policy.
3. No, but people have gotten RFE's because they wanted them to specify which state they plan to get married in. Just include that in your letters of intent and you'll be fine. We're in Ohio and haven't had any problems, just waiting for the interview right now
4. Read the guides. If you can't see the link on top look at the site from a computer. http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides
5. They'll be less suspicious that you're just trying to get a green card at the interview stage.

Good luck with the "discussion"!

Where I'm from it's custom to give something to your host, and quite often it's a bottle of something or other. From what I've seen that's not uncommon in the US either. Is there danger of him showing up with an unwelcome gift if unaware?

You might want to look into wait times for each state. We're getting married in New York and we'll have to go a day early to apply for the license.
