Well they wanted to keep the passport n stamp the visa n return it within 4 days but i was pregnant so we told the officer to hold the visa for one year. So in november we went the passport for stamping but they returned it to us with 221g form for administrative processing. His interview was in January 2017.

They didnt mark anything just passport n administrative processing. I did get a call yesterday from the embassy saying that since my husband renewed his passport so the system tells them to do administrative processing. We also got the form ds5535 which we submited feb 4.

Anybody in AP ?? I applied for my husband n we sent in his passport for stamping but they sent it back with 221g letter n put us in AP. Does anyone know how long abu dhabi takes to clear this AP processing??

After getting a new passport my case was placed under administrative processing once more :(. I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but I submitted my valid passport 7 months ago, and I'm still waiting. I really hope the delay is not as lengthy for you :(. 

My ceac says weeks too by the way. 

Well my hubsand renewed his passport before his interview which was last year jan, 26 2017 but we told them to hold off the visa for one year. But when i sent it for stamping in november they send us this forum ds5535 n for 3 months they didnt tell us anything until i sent new affidavit of support to add my daughter then they called me n told me that they didnt recieve the form so i submited the form by mail on feb 4. So now just waiting. They did review my file 2 times which was feb 19 n 20. After that today when the officer called so he updated. He told me few months so lets c.

This is what it says for me, which number did you call? I just check the status and nothing is changing

I didnt call any number i sent a letter straight to the embassy n they called me. 

So i sent the embassy a letter asking abt the status of my husband’s case. Since it was approved already n ready for stamp. I got a call today staying that its still under administration processing cuz he renewed his passport so when they put his passport number in the system it tells them to do administrative processing.. this is what the officer said n he said it will take few months n to just watch the website for update. Im so sad and depressed because we had everything planned but it feels like we r just stuck n there is no ending. 

I just have one question for everyone when u check the status does it say weeks or months?? Because before it said it can take up to weeks or months but it just says weeks n he updated it today.

What I understand is 60 days after the interview date if you contact them through the page you use to check the status (not the ceac website) theres the local embassy one like abudhabiniv.net there is a "contact us" on top if you applied in abu dhabi try sending them a message through there it was effective for someone I know personally who applied for a non-immigrant visa. After 60 days from the interview he messaged them through the contact us and he was told to schedule the second interview 2 days later

 

I hope it works out for you. I will continue sharing whatever information I get to make it easier. 

 

Sometimes its great to just hear from you even if there is no update

 

 

I emailed them like many times but reply. My case is at abu dhabi 🙁

The interview was last year in jan 2017. So told the officer to hold the visa for one year. So in november we got ds5535 but they never recieved our email. So we sent it by mail on feb 4 so lets c maybe they will do something now n approve our case inshallah

May I ask when were the last time you saw the update what date I mean

I saw update on feb 19 n then today feb 21 i checked but update was made 20 feb.

2 updates feb 19 n feb 20. 

The website is working i just checked my status. 

I have one question my status was updated 2 days in a row so that means they r working on my case n it will be approved soon???

I sent email to abu dhabi embassy on wednesday n today monday they update my case, does it mean they r working on my case they just update cuz of the email that i sent??? But i didbt get any reply from them just status update.

i just want to inform everyone that whoever sent ds5535 form please contact the embassy and make sure that they have recieved the form. because we have been waiting for 3 months but yesterday got a call from the embassy saying the form was not recieved n they r waiting on the form. i was so angry that they didnt even tell us before and didnt reply to my emails. so now i sent them again but im still not sure whether they recieved it or not so im sending them by mail tomorrow. 

its just to be on the safe side n wait for months n u think they r working on ur case when they dont even have the form. please make sure they have recieved the form.

ABD is used for abu dhabi cuz my case number starts with ABD for abu dhabi embassy. 

what abt u? did u apply for someone? or waiting for visa?
