I dont know whats going on. The lawyer i contacted few weeks ago said that i need to send in my husband's passport copy n his birth certificate. I guess im gonna send everything in, so i dont get RFE.

Thanks rocketman n NLR. I have photocopy my entire passport. I once contacted a lawyer n he told me that I need to send in my husband's passport as well n his birth certificate, he's the beneficiary.

Shama786, so your I-130 hasn't approved yet ? I don't know long mine will take. I know tax returns n affidavit of support becomes a problem when applying for spouse. I've also been trying to find a joint sponsor since my hubby isn't allowing me to go back n work. Plus it won't really matter cuz they will use last year's tax return. Anyways, I hope ur petition gets approve soon inshallah n best of luck

What abt the two passports that r attached together for the beneficiary, do I send copies of all pages for both passports or just the new one? (One is expired)

I have a question, I have put mine n beneficiary's photograph in the ziplock bag, do I staple it to a white sheet of paper or paper clip it??

Is it really true? I actually thought of hiring a lawyer n contacted one. He gave me all the check list of documents that i need to submit to him, also a joint sponsor check list. He didn't say that he will find a joint sponsor for us when i told him that we don't have a joint sponsor. That's y i'm doing everything on my own. Please let me know if some lawyer do that and give information about that lawyer.

one more question, my husband never entered the United States, so he doesn't have form I-94. or does he really need one or have one?

NLR, I did try to get my name on my husband's bank account and it got denied. They said that we will have to close his current account and open a new joint account n transfer the money there. Its a lot of work and I'm already stressing out over so many things. also, i'm going to send my I-130 this sunday so I will have months to think n go crazy about affidavit of support, lol.

Shama786, how do I get a bank account when I'm abroad ?? HSBC is international bank so I can use the money even if I'm over there or anywhere in the world.

My situation is very difficult at this moment. I'm not having any relations with my family currently n friends can't be co-sponsors cuz they don't meet the requirement n some don't wanna do it. So I'm stressing out over this affidavit of support. No one is ready to help me. There was this guy who said he will help but ended up asking for money. So I decided that I will go ahead n use my husband's savings to meet the requirement since that's an option I can do.

I never filed tax returns while I was in USA cuz I was a full time student n my parents were supporting me at that time. I don't work now since I'm a house wife. So no option of filing for tax return if working abroad. This is a tough situation when u don't have a way out.

You guys say I really need a joint sponsor n I know I do but I did try my best n did everything to find one but no one is ready to help. I'm really stressing out n can't find anyone to help me.

I was thinking of getting prints, I guess it's better to have prints. Thanks

For birth certificates, does it has to be long form? I have a computerized birth certificate which isn't the long form, so is that acceptable??

Also what documents r u sending in with ur I-130 package??

I'm originally from Pakistan n my husband as well. I was living in USA with my parents n came in feb to get married. Now staying with my husband till he gets a visa. Finding a joint sponsor is really hard. I have been trying my best to find one but couldn't. Now we decided that we will use bank savings. Someone here already did that n got approved. So let's see what happens in our case.

How abt you ?? Where r u from originally?? Do u have a bank account here in uae, maybe u can get pay order from them ? N yes they rate of currency converter is 3.68 so they will charge that.

Since ur wife is applying for u n I'm applying for my husband maybe we can share our stuff n help each other out. Does ur wife live with u or she's in USA ?? I also read online western union do money orders but not sure. You can ask them n ask. I haven't made the money order yet but do let me know which one u chose: demand draft, pay order or something else? I think they all r the same.

Do i need to submit copy of my naturalization certificate? I don't have the original one with me, i just have the copy of the original. I think I lost it somewhere. I'm sending in copy of all pages of my US passport along with it.

One more question, I'm going to send our wedding pictures along with I-130, so my question is that can I just copy n paste the pics on word document and put little description under it or i need to have it printed them out?

We have international bank account (HSBC) which we can use it anywhere in the world. so is that ok? yes, we have around $60000 savings in the bank. One more question, the bank account is only under my husband's name (beneficiary) and we did try to make a joint account but for some reason it didn't get approve, I don't know why. So is that ok too?

But as I read on I-864 instructions, it says that u can use assets to meet the requirement. Bank statements would be sufficient for evidence??? I'm really confused. I tried so much to find a co-sponsor but I can't find one.

Im getting ready to file I-130 for my husband. I'm currently living in UAE. I'm really worried about the affidavit of support because I've never worked before in the US so my husband and I decided that we will use our bank balance only to meet the poverty guidelines. someone told me on another post that only bank balance is insufficient, I want to if its possible to go with the bank balance only? I tried so much and I can't find a joint sponsor, so please can someone shed a light on this.

Well my husband is handling that n I think he said it's called pay order and he's gonna get it from the bank. You should call n find out from the bank. When r u filing n what documents ur gonna submit?

I'm going to file I-130 for my husband next month January 2nd, 2014. I want to make sure if I have all the documents.

- I-130 completed

- $420 fee (money order)

- g-325a for both petitioner n beneficiary

- passport size photos of both

- copy of marriage certificate (Urdu n translated)

- copy of birth certificate of both

- copy of us passport of all pages for both

- evidence of bona fides of marriage : wedding pictures, trip tickets together, boarding passes, record of pregnancy miscarriage, health insurance card of both, UAE residency visa of both living together.

Is this good enough or am I missing something??

I also have one more question, I'm currently living with my husband in UAE n have never worked in the us, I know I need a joint sponsor, but I can't find anyone. Can we just use our bank balance to meet the poverty guideline?
