If that was sent to you in an email, that could be a typo, possibly? The fee listed on the US Embassy (Athens) website for K visa applications is US$240 or 180 euros ---> http://athens.usembassy.gov/visa-application-fee.html

Well i will let u know tomorrow guy when I'm done with the interview. The difference in euro is around 7. So no big deal. I was surprised to see 230 too and not 240 as i saw on the nvc site. But if are 230 and not 240 well i wont say no.

They say i can pay it on Us Dollars or Euro at the embassy.

So if u want to cancel k1 call uscis since u still wait noa2 and tell them that u want to cancel the process. Other thing u can do is email them with an explanation why u want to cancel the visa but first call uscis and they ll tell u again. Check here on the foroum too what other ppl say about cancelation

Don't do it my friend. U spent 4 months already. After noa2 the process is nothing. If u cancel k1 and get marry then u ll have to go through k3 .. U ll have to wait longer than a year. Dont do it

Today was my appointment with Dr. Doumazos at Iaso General.My appointment was at 11am but I was there at 10am. As i was sitting outside his office the doctor came out to print something so he was glad to call me inside his office so we can finish quicker the process. He was really polite and made me feel comfortable. First he asked for my passport and a picture and then he asked for my vaccination record. He checked everything and then he asked me if i take any medication or if i smoke or if i was ever under medication or in the hospital. Then he just checked my blood pleasure he said is really great and then he checked me with the stethoscope. He saw i have a tattoo on my back so he asked if i have more he looked at them and he was making fun.. Not a problem with the tattoo at all.After this he checked my neck and my belly and asked me if i feel any pain. Thats it. During this he was asking me about me and my fiance and where we ll go and the plans for the wedding... I felt so comfortable ...

When we were done i told him that i worry so much and I'm scared he told me i have nothing to worry im great and healthy. I gave him 50 as he asked and he told me to go pay the blood test and the X-ray but a vaccine and ask for the nurse on the first floor to do it for me. He gave me his best wishes for my wedding and i left.

I paid 97 for X-ray and blood test. The nurse at the blood test was amazing. She was sooooooo polite and funny ...and i didnt understand aaaaanything.... I was soooo surprised...then i did the X-ray and the lady told me is fine and at the end i went outside the hospital to buy the vaccine for chicken pox. That was a lil expensive 45 and i paid 10 the nurse at the emergency to do it for me and call the doctor and let him know that I'm done with everything.

The exams will go with a courier at the embassy as the doctor told me.

Thats it. Really easy ... No pain at all ... Was a really nice day... I know its weird to say that when u go to a hospital but it felt like i was out for coffee more than i went to a hospital. I made a lot of fun with the nurse that i really had a good time.

I totally recommend Dr Doumazos for everyone who will have their medical exams in Athens!! He is a great person and doctor.

I called the embassy today and they gave me an interview date for July 17. Isn't this amazing??????? Im soooo happy but soooo stressed too... Hope i ll be with man soon

I was trying too over the phone many times the number that I was using is this one 210-721-2951 they only have recorded messages and directions to there internet page, The phone numbers that you wrote I didnt have them maybe I will try too. I am in the same situation as you are right now, I sent them the ds-157 by mail 24/05/14 and on the 04/06/2014 they called me on my self phone asking me to send them the confirmation page ds-160 by email, I told them that I would send it right away and the woman on the phone answered to my that they would called me again 06/06/2014 to schedule an appointment. Thats all great news! But the problem is that until now I havent any news from them except the replay from my email with the ds-160, which says this. Thank you for the scanned document. We will call you to schedule an interview appointment.

One thing that I forgot to mention there was to caller ID when they called me Great!!! So for the last 3 weeks I am waiting for a phone call and its really starting to get on my nerves. We spoke with our layer about it, he said that the embassy receives this period 3 times more application that they use to. Anyway I think that the best for my situation right now its to wait little bit more, and more. My noa2 states that its valid until 8 August 2014 so its one and half month to go. I dont know what the waiting period is for you since I see on your timeline that you have an approved expedited request.

I was calling them yesterday but nobody pick up the phone so i email them. I tried to call them again at 3 and i talked with someone i gave her my case number but it seems he had no idea about my case. He asked me if i sent everything they asked i said yes of course i gave him the date and then he told me to call them again on Friday to set the appointment and give me further info. After a while they reply to ep my email too

In which case, I would email them to chase for an interview date so that you can book a medical as soon as possible. From the information posted by the other VJ poster and the FAQs on the Athens embassy website, you still need to complete the medical before the interview.

I'm not familiar with the Athens embassy standard processing times, but for the London embassy, 4-6 weeks is considered standard in terms of receiving notification of the interview date (from the date of the medical or receipt of the Applicant Readiness online form) and then the interview date is usually 1-4 weeks from the date of the letter. Though recently, some London beneficiaries have had a quicker turnaround time than that, especially if they chase for a date via the online contact form or email.

As there aren't many people who have recently been through Athens' processing to guide you through, you'll have to contact the embassy directly to get an answer.

It looks like once you have returned all the documents to them, completed a medical as well as a DS-160 online, they will contact you and schedule an interview date. If you've done all that and you're really feeling impatient, try the email address and request that they notify you by email to confirm the interview date. Other than that, I'm not sure what else you can do other than wait.

They say on the ds157 that i must complete my medical exam after they give me the date of the interview.

I'm not familiar with the specific procedures for the US embassy in Greece (Athens?) but for embassies like UK/London, you would need to also schedule and complete a medical as well as complete an Applicant Readiness form online (if you have all your documents for your interview, e.g., police certificate, birth certificate) before they will schedule an interview for you. In other countries, like the Philippines/Manila, you schedule your own interview via an online system.

I cant find greeks that they wait for k1 right now... And two couples i know did the k1 years ago and process is different... I cant find more info about my country on this site. Sucks

06-10-2014 : Received Package 3

I received an email from the embassy with attached a) affidavit of support form b) ds157(known as checklist).

After few days i collected all the papers they asked me i print ds157 signed and date it , scanned it and email it back to the email that sent me pck 3. Attached a picture as they asked and ds160 confirmation code.

06-18-2014 : Package 3 Sent

On the 06-20-2014 late in the afternoon i received an email that says Dear Ms. X,

Thank you for the scanned documents.

I check my case online and they did an update on the 16th that they probably received the penal record and yesterday again on the 23. What kind of updates are those ? And what i must do now? How long it ll take to give me an interview? Should i call them to see if everything is ok?

Ds 157 is the form that tells u what papers u need to have with u at the interview. The check list. Dont get confused by ds 160 that is the online form. Are two separate forms.

I email my embassy today.

On package 3 they asked me to collect all the papers they asked and then print sign and date the ds157 and send it to them with one picture and the ds160 confirmation page.

I still dont know if i did everything the right way. I sent only the one page of ds157 not the 6 pages. Only the one that they wanted me to sign.

And in the subject line i wrote " ds157 & ds160 confirmation page" and sent it, but then i resent it again but i changed the subject line to case number and my name cause on the instructions they say When communicating with this office either by telephone or letter, please provide your name and case number exactly as shown in this letter.

Do u think i messed up that i sent the email twice??? Should i call them or go there?

I try to find a solution cause we have a million of pages. Till now i copy paste on Microsoft word from the day we sent the i129f till today small convo that we talk to each other per every single day... I have 58 pages till now... I ll make them 100 by putting convos from before see each other. Thats for whatsapp. I ll print 10 screenshots or 20 from skype from the beginning of the relation till now. I also have a small photo album with pictures together and our friends..

Do u think im ready to go?
