  1. Hmm, so Old Corrupt Joe was involved in the selling of Brand Biden through his influence. The Democrats are certainly trying to deflect as much as possible, so they must be getting close to the “Big Guy”. Hunter Biden business partner Devon Archer confirms Joe was on more than TWENTY foreign business calls with his son to sell 'the brand' - but Democrat claims they were just talking about the WEATHER https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12356923/Hunter-Bidens-business-partner-Devon-Archer-arrives-bombshell-testimony-Joes-involvement-shady-business-deals-DOJ-accused-trying-jail-talk.html
  2. Correct, right now signing up is optional, but I suspect there are others like me that will not choose to sign-up so eventually it will become mandatory.
  3. Definitely can see this happening. I suspect there will be a push first to force everyone to get a connected thermostat, and electric meter so the government can control that.
  4. Well at least we know Jack Smith is a biter like Commander, but I suspect Biden has more control over his political prosecutor.
  5. Yes, I know, guilty until proven innocent. Kind of sad how the US criminal justice system works today particularly when it is a political prosecution. My understanding is this is how it works in some other countries. Btw, the Biden hoarding of classified documents was a much worse situation as these documents have been in his possession unsecured (next to the Vette, in the Chinese financed UPenn office, etc.) for years. Sure he gave some back after he had his lawyers with no security clearance review everything, and possibly scrub incriminating information, but sure keep believing Old Corrupt Joe was simply following orders (seems he wasn't following the rules when he absconded with the information). I do see you conveniently left off Hillary, I don't believe she returned anything, she in fact obstructed any investigation relative to erasing the server first. Whatever, Biden's lapdog Jack Smith will continue to pull charges out delaying this for years. It will be fun to watch.
  6. Trump's proposed crimes (I know, you already have him convicted based on your hero, the much reversed Jack Smith), may have some merit as many have been prosecuted and convicted for handling what the government bureaucrats label as "Classified", "Top Secret", etc., but as usual you seem to show your acceptance of the two tier justice system which is what Roger Kimball was referring to. I agree with him, I laughed and laugh hysterically when the hypocrites like Jack Smith, or Garland, or KJ "diversity hire" P come out and profess "no one is above the law!". Well show us that is in fact true by prosecuting all high profile politicians for mishandling material our more and more oppressive government bureaucrats do not want us to see. Hillary sent her top secret info to Carlos Danger, Old Corrupt Joe spread his all over the place between DE and PA and let his lawyers and more than likely the Chinese without clearance sift through it (probably after Hunter). All these have merit, and yet we get one over zealous (yes, this has been demonstrated) carrying the water for the Biden's and going after Old Corrupt Joe's political opponent (hmm, sounds a lot like a Putin, or Zelenskyy, and yes, Zelenskyy is definitely jailing his political opponents currently in Ukraine). Anyway, I guess that is all fine with you as apparently you either turn a blind eye to the corruption, or you ignore it due to liking a Leftist regressive ideology. If the DOJ really wants to regain credibility with everyone, and not just the easily gaslighted, they need to start going after everyone the same way, and not give anyone regardless of their name or position a break. It should not have taken five plus years to investigate a tax cheat like the Biden family (hmm, is someone trying to run out the clock at the DOJ?). Whatever, more than likely deaf ears considering the desire for maintain "slow, steady and corrupt" in DC. Let them prosecute Trump (I wonder when Superman Jack Smith will argue for a change of venue to get this case to DC so he can get a gaslighted Leftist jury), I will still support him over institutional corruption in DC.
  7. Don't really understand that mentality. Time to cut your losses and leave San Francisco.
  8. That is "Dr. First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden" to peons and simians like you and me. She is definitely involved, and based on the stories I heard about her, she is not to be trifle with.
  9. Makes complete sense. That eruption was massive, and I agree little covered due to remoteness and it being hard to see. This is also probably why we are having some significant flooding in many areas. I know here in MI, we are seeing a wetter than normal Summer. Regardless, this was all lined up for the MSM to shift their narrative from Covid to Climate Change. I remember being admonished for debating global warming when the Right Reverend Al Gore went to a conference in snow and ice. I was told you cannot equate climate change and weather, but for some reason this is all we are hearing from the Church of Climate Change.
  10. I am confused. Are you in the US now? What is the status of the spousal visa? If outside the US, I am not sure there is anything that can be done.
  11. Why are the Leftist activist and Leftist media types so against this movie? ‘Sound of Freedom’ Touched a Nerve on the Left: Not Just One, but Many (Jul. 9, 2023) — Spoiler alert: This article contains mild spoilers about the movie ‘Sound of Freedom’ that won’t interfere with your ability to enjoy it. I like Jim Caviezel, even before his classic performance in The Passion of the Christ, he was brilliant as Edmond Dantès in The Count of Monte Cristo. I listen to a number of podcasts, many just as background noise. So, of course, I was aware that Caviezel was making the rounds to promote his latest movie, Sound of Freedom. I confess I wasn’t paying too much attention as the movie first struck me as some sort of ‘right-wing Taken,’ which is not my cup of tea. Anyway, I felt like I would eventually watch it, maybe one of these days. https://www.thepostemail.com/2023/07/09/sound-of-freedom-touched-a-nerve-on-the-left-not-just-one-but-many/
  12. What I do not understand is the three Leftist justices voted in favor of religious rights on the postal worker case released yesterday, but voted against this one released today. Supreme Court rules in favor of Colorado graphic designer who refused to create same-sex wedding websites The U.S. Supreme Court held that a Colorado graphic designer who wants to make wedding websites does not have to create them for same-sex marriages, in a landmark decision that pit the interests of LGBTQ non-discrimination against First Amendment freedom. In a 6-3 decision issued Friday, the high court ruled in favor of artist Lorie Smith, who sued the state over its anti-discrimination law that prohibited businesses providing sales or other accommodations to the public from denying service based on a customer's sexual orientation. Justice Neil Gorsuch authored the majority opinion, which said that, "In this case, Colorado seeks to force an individual to speak in ways that align with its views but defy her conscience about a matter of major significance." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/supreme-court-rules-in-favor-of-colorado-graphic-designer-who-refused-to-create-same-sex-wedding-websites/ar-AA1dg4M7
  13. Finally some common sense. What is even more interesting is the minority affirms their racist ideals. Supreme Court rejects affirmative action in ruling on universities using race in admissions decisions The U.S. Supreme Court handed down a major ruling on affirmative action Tuesday, rejecting the use of race as a factor in college admissions as a violation of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause. Many universities have argued that race-based admissions ensures that student bodies remain diverse, while critics such as the plaintiffs in the cases argue the policy discriminates against many qualified students based on race. Students for Fair Admissions, a student activist group, brought cases against both Harvard and University of North Carolina. The group initially sued Harvard College in 2014 for violating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which "prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity that receives Federal funds or other Federal financial assistance." https://www.foxnews.com/politics/supreme-court-rejects-affirmative-action-ruling-universities-using-race-admissions-decisions
  14. This AI will most likely be used for the next election. It will get interesting. AI clones teen girl’s voice in $1M kidnapping scam: ‘I’ve got your daughter’ It was a dead “ringer” for her daughter. Artificial intelligence has taken phone scams to a frightening new level. An Arizona mom claims that scammers used AI to clone her daughter’s voice so they could demand a 1$ million dollar ransom from her as part of a terrifying new voice scheme. “I never doubted for one second it was her,” distraught mother Jennifer DeStefano told WKYT while recalling the bone-chilling incident. “That’s the freaky part that really got me to my core.” This bombshell comes amid a rise in “caller ID spoofing” schemes, in which scammers claim they’ve taken the recipient’s relative hostage and will harm them if they aren’t paid a specified amount of money. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/ai-clones-teen-girl-s-voice-in-1m-kidnapping-scam-i-ve-got-your-daughter/ar-AA19LWPF
  15. If the shoe fits. Twitter criticized after labeling NPR as ‘state-affiliated media’ (NewsNation) — NPR president and CEO John Lansing fired back at Twitter on Wednesday morning after the social media platform put a label on the news organization’s profile calling it “state-affiliated media.” NewsNation partner The Hill reports this designation is one Twitter uses for state news agencies such as Russia’s TASS and China’s Xinhua. “NPR and our Member stations are supported by millions of listeners who depend on us for the independent, fact-based journalism we provide,” Lansing wrote in a statement. “NPR stands for freedom of speech and holding the powerful accountable. It is unacceptable for Twitter to label us this way. A vigorous, vibrant free press is essential to the health of our democracy.” https://www.newsnationnow.com/entertainment-news/media/twitter-npr-state-affiliated-media-ceo-responds/
  16. More from the war on CH4. And yes, this agency is headed by the son of the former top manager of the AFL-CFO. U.S. safety agency to consider ban on gas stoves amid health fears A federal agency says a ban on gas stoves is on the table amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to take action to address the pollution, which can cause health and respiratory problems. “This is a hidden hazard,” Richard Trumka Jr., an agency commissioner, said in an interview. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.” https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2023-01-09/us-safety-agency-considers-gas-stove-ban?expandComments=true
  17. Does CA have the money for this? I also wonder how this will be proven as couldn’t a recent immigrant from Africa show they have distant relatives that were brought to the US a slaves way back in time. California Reparations Could See Newsom Give Black Americans $223k Each The Times reported that, just based on housing discrimination between 1933 and 1977, $569 billion in reparations would need to be paid to African Americans in California–amounting to $223,000 per person. The total amount of reparations suggested, the largest in history, will likely be much higher than that. https://www.newsweek.com/california-reparations-could-see-newsom-give-black-americans-223k-1764114
  18. Hmm, seems somewhat inevitable with socialized medicine. Some Canadian Health Care Patients Say They're Being Encouraged To Just Die Already Unfortunately, the philosophical argument for the right to die can also end up colliding with troubling decisions in a country where the government funds and controls access to healthcare. That is reportedly happening in Canada, where some citizens say health officials are actively encouraging people with disabilities and other chronic medical issues to consider suicide. According to the Associated Press, hospitals are raising the possibility of assisted suicide with patients who hadn't asked about it. These conversations are not motivated by quality of life but health care costs. The A.P. notes that Belgium and the Australian state of Victoria, which allow physician-assisted suicide, tell medical professionals not to bring up euthanasia so that it's not seen as medical advice. In other words, make sure it's the patient's idea. This is not the case in Canada, where health care workers are trained to inform patients that they can choose euthanasia if they have a qualifying condition. This has led to some patients, particularly those with disabilities but not necessarily fatal illnesses, having some unpleasant conversations. One provided a recording to the Associated Press: https://reason.com/2022/09/07/some-canadian-health-care-patients-say-theyre-being-encouraged-to-just-die-already/
  19. Scammers are getting more creative. Be careful. 2 Michigan women tricked by convincing, sophisticated Amazon scam: What to know The calls appear to have three steps: The initial caller claims to be from Amazon and tells you there has been a fraudulent purchase on an Amazon account. Then, the conversation quickly turns to reveal that you have bank accounts with four or five well-known names — Wells Fargo, PNC Bank, Bank of America, Chase and others. Maybe that's where you really bank, maybe you don't and will let it slip where you do have accounts. Last, you're told that someone has used your identity to open up a string of bank accounts. A call that began from Amazon somehow ends up with a federal agent on the line to convince you that you'll be arrested soon because you're now suspected of money laundering. The caller might imply that hundreds of thousands of dollars were transferred into questionable accounts opened with your ID information. https://www.freep.com/story/money/personal-finance/susan-tompor/2022/05/19/amazon-scam-money-laundering/9794344002/
  20. Kinds of flying under the radar with all the recent deflections. The baby formula supply problem is getting worse New YorkCNNBusiness — For months stores nationwide have been struggling to stock enough baby formula. Manufacturers say they’re producing at full capacity and making as much formula as they can, but it’s still not enough to meet current demand. The out-of-stock rate for baby formula hovered between 2% and 8% in the first half of 2021, but began rising sharply last July. Between November 2021 and early April 2022, the out-of-stock rate jumped to 31%, data from Datasembly showed. That rate increased another 9 percentage points in just three weeks in April, and now stands at 40%, the statistics show. In six states — Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri, Texas and Tennessee — more than half of baby formula was completely sold out during the week starting April 24, Datasembly said. https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/08/business/baby-formula-shortage/index.html
  21. In the theme of our current vacation to the Arches/Canyonlands area in Utah, just wondering what everyone’s favorite National park/monuments/seashores are? I still love Death Valley, but the others we have visited, Yellowstone, Badlands, Arches, Grand Canyon, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Mt. Rushmore, Cuyahoga Valley, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Indiana Dunes, Cumberland Gap are all great in their own way.
