It has also been found that people got last dates month, even tough their PDs are way early. So no correlation in between these two.

I assume this June retro was just for nothing. There was no shortage of visa numbers, they just stopped it thinking they might run out, but they did not. So there is a very good chance that F2A is coming back to almost where it was before the retro. I pray for everyone who have been away from their loved ones for so long.

    Hi,
If the denial is something specific to the wife, then no problems for the kids. For example, wife has a ban, is inadmissible for drugs or a CIMT.
If the denial is for a defect such as not meeting the I-864 requirements, then no one will get a visa.
It all depends on the reason for the denial.

Phillip Kazuto reacted to dhlunar in Does anyone knows where to mail an expedite request?
Expedite request need to be approved by the Embassy that will be handling the case.
My wife put one in also due to NVC error (lost document) and health issues. NVC asked her two days later for two phone numbers for the applicant.
It took a month for the Embassy to reply to NVC but they denied my wife's request. However, each Embassy is different in terms of what they will approve and how long it will take them to get back to NVC.

They understand perfectly that you are waiting and are likely working as hard as possible to get through everything. Please take into consideration their workload. Yes it sucks. Yes it feels unfair. But it is what it is.

    Hi,
If a parent naturalizes before you turn 18, then you would automatically be a US citizen if you are an LPR who lives with the USC parent under the Child Citizenship Act.
Once you turn 18, you would need to be an LPR for a total of 5 years to qualify for US citizenship.

In my own personal opinion, I won't advise sending IV package before payment. You'll need the IV barcode coversheet which will be generated after IV payment to send with your IV package. What if your package goes to the wrong department or get mixed up or lost, you'll be delaying yourself more.
Remember you are sending in all your original documents. Personally I won't risk it.

It has nth to do with Oct VB but i believe DOS will let all 2012 filers through one and for all and with the start of new fiscal year new visa numbers will be available and with no 2012 filers are left , they will make it for 2013 filers.
    ^ MY prediction

LPRs can never have a petition for a married child.
Only USCs can file for married children.
    It takes about 12 years.

Nice ! congrats and thank for the review
No you dun need to email them , petitioners can always go with the immigrants. My father went to interview with my brother. I dunno but sometime when you're with your petitioner you feel safe. I'll have my father with me too when i go to interview just for peace of mind. Just bring the GC or Passport. Good luck

    Thanks Phillip,
Well patience is a virtue. One thing has been certain from the get go, everybody's PD would become current eventually. One thing I did that helped was channeling my energy to other things instead of worrying over the visa bulletin's disconcerting movement. Lo and behold, the bulletin would possibly move rapidly these coming months. Still, I have my fingers crossed. ☺
A big congratulations to all of you going for Interview this September, I wish you the best!

I've followed you even before i joined here and tbh it is sad for you to have that PD, just one day different and delay your visa for months.
    Hope for the best

For the AoS part your mother is the petitioner so she has to fill up I-864 even with 0 income ( with 0 income she will need join sponsors ) and if your brother going to help then he will need I-864a ( If he is your mother's household member ) just make sure the income meet the requirement of Poverty Guidelines.
No matter what the petitioner got to fill up I-864
p.s I don't see I-864ez will fit into your situation since you're the benefiacary
FYI , my father is unemployed so my brother and sister filled up I-864a and my father filled I-864.

Phillip Kazuto reacted to niknak33 in August visa bulletin predictions - Will F2A turn current like it did in 2013???
Look guys, there are not a lot of F2A's left from 2012, they would have retrogressed further if they had been. I honestly believe, if you look at October stats from previous years, they always jump ahead with dates. It's a recurring pattern throughout the years. It's been 2 1/2 years since my wife left and I am sure everyone has stories similar or worse. We can't do anything but wait for Octobers visa bulletin to show the VB date is moving forward.

All of us F2As are facing the same pain of being away from our love ones.
The agony of waiting every month and hoping that the Visa bulletin will move is very stressful.
But what can we do? Where/who can we voice out our sentiments?
Even if we call the customer support they can’t give any answers, the system that we are in right now really sucks.

You will get the interview letter when your priority day becomes current. At this moment, you can only wait for it to move forward. No one can tell you how long it takes, it always depends, the PD could move forward or stay there for months, we don't know.

We are hoping for it to move forward on October 2014 because there will be more available visas, but as I said before, it's just a possibility.
The PD went back to 2012 just before I could receive the interview letter , so I'm waiting for my PD to be current too.

Phillip Kazuto reacted to sbai2000 in Why F2A is not moving
I beg to differ....there is a relationship between NVC processing and DOS visa number (see below)......besides, I think you miss the point of my post...
DOS does indeed move the PD forward in order to force USCIS to process I-130. Anyone with their application in Vermont knows that VSC has stopped processing F2A application - ostensibly because the VB has retrogressed. We are simply looking forward to NOA2 approvals.
Note on Timing of NVC Fee Invoices
Mr. Oppenheim noted that the National Visa Center (NVC) is sending our requests for fee payments about 8 to 12 months in advance of the priority date becoming current (this is change to the previous practice of doing so 12-18 months in advance). When applicants pay the fee earlier after receipt of the fee invoice, Mr. Oppenheim is able to "see" the demand earlier and adjust the demand in the category accordingly, eliminating the need of major forward movement, followed by a retrogression

no, residents cannot petition for married children, only USC can, they have to become USC first, then petition them and It will take over 10 years
