Not hearing anything from no one. I know the offices are open and even if they are working at half the capacity then how come we are not hearing anyone getting approved. Does this mean we will have to wait until after New Year to see some work get done? Ahhhhh.....
-
*facepalm* What was the point in even putting that letter in with the transfer notices then? Just a waste of paper and resources if the still have no accountability and we still have no recourse even when they don't follow through with their promises. Maybe try emailing the service center? If they don't answer within 21 days, then you can escalate the issue to Service center HQ?
It seems useless. We are pretty much at their mercy. What I don't understand is that how can you've to May or June and in some cases October applications when March and April filers are still sitting. We truly ate being penalized for applying on time or before time. What happened to first come first serve.
No offense to anyone and by that I mean people who are applying in natural disaster zones ..... But everyone who has a legitimate case should and must apply and get approve but only through proper channel and when it's your turn. It's like we are standing in a line to check out and then group of people just walk in and stand ahead of us ....... This is just so wrong. These applications used to take only 5-6 months. With the amount of money they charge you would have that one would get proper and prompt service.

Should I be even asking if any of the April filers herd anything?

I hope that you all have a Happy Holiday as well. And I really hope that someone is working at the USCIS Service Centers for the next few days.
Just knowing that we're not alone is both great and completely infuriating.
Well I just called USCIS just to see if they are open and well ..... Yes they are but no sure at what capacity they are working . Atleast this sounds like a good news that they are working today.
On the other hand on a not so much happier note I asked them about the 60 days on my transfer letter and they told me that it doesn't matter. Until the Service center shows that they tte processing applications with a date of April 20, they cannot create a service request( My NOA is April 16). So now even though the letter I received said that I should receive a response in 60 days ...... That means nothing.
-
It seems like not much work was done today.... I mean on the 24th. Didnt hear much or guess no one saying anything about any approvals or any good news. Now looking forward to the remaining 2 days of this week and 3 days of next week just because New Years eve will also be a like a half day. I just hope to hear something positive before the year ends,

Just received an email from uscis, RFE ....... I thought we were approved but an RFE instead......now to wait what evidence they need
Yeah that really is strange. Btw I dont always trust their updates/emails. Unless you get a letter in mail for RFE, I wouldnt worry about it. Btw I see your application has a date of April 10th. Mine was April 16. When and Which service center were you transferred to and when was NOA2 approved?
-
They're just trying to confuse us with their many updates. They usually tell you to use the notice date (mailed copy) as the date the case was last updated. However it would seem as if they didn't actually send it on the 28th of Nov but on dec 2.
It should take less than a month for approval (based on what we've seen here so far)
Good luck!!!!
Thank you. I really hope you are correct about getting approval within a month. I see in your case it took about 20 days from the case transfer to get the NOA2. In my case it has already been about 27-28 days. I am hoping to hear something soon..... something good.

The letter I received with date of Nov 25 says that I should receive a decision within 60 days. Almost 25 days have passed. If they are working for the remaining of this year then I might just hear somethingl

Hi, I got that same notice last monday Nd last friday got my noa2. Congrats.
Thanks but that maybe coz you filed to expedite the process. right? I just hope I hear something positive before this year ends.

I just wanted to ask people here if they received any email/txt update from USCIS a week after receiving the actual physical letter of transfer to any of the service centers. I received two email one on 25th and then on 26th Nov that my case is being transferred. It was not until 28th or 29th when I actually saw the letter in mail that my case was transferred to CSV. After that on 2nd December I got following update via txt/email:
**************************************
Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN
Your Case Status: Initial Review
The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
*****************************************
Does this mean that someone is actually working in my files/cases or is this one of those generic email? Anyone else received these emails a week after receiving the physical letter in mail? Any progress after that update?
Thank you.[/quot
Sorry to say it's just a generic email. I think we all got that one after being transferred. It took about another month after that. Good luck!
Thank you. I was really hoping to hear something before Christmas or now before New Year. Well I am still hopeful. If they are working next week or the week after then perhaps I might hear something good.

I received the hard copy on Nov 22 and received an RFE on Dec 16 for my Mom and 20 for my Dad ( documents asked are my parents birth certificates and my marriage certificate)
Goodluck!
Why are they asking you for their birth certificates right now? I-130 doesnt require you to send in petitioner's birth certificates for IR-5 (parents). Thats the next step when your file gets transferred to NVC. I didnt send in my parent's birth certificates. I did however send in my birth certificate showing both their names and their marriage certificate. My file was transferred to CSC on Nov 25 and I havent herd anything as of yet. hope I dont get any RFE...... just straight approval .

That's not a system glitch or error. They are stating that they processed 1 days worth of petitions in a month. Because of that processing date, no one who filed after that can ask for a service request, help from the Ombudsman, or help from their representatives. They know well what they are doing. This is the second time in the past 4 months they're trying this tactic.
Wow .... if thats the case then this is ry wrong on their part. Every month I wait very anxiously around that time to look for updates but if this is what they are doing then I am speechless. Now the letter I received after transfer to CSV states that I should receive a response within 60 days. Does that 60 days even mean anything? I am almost close to 30 day mark .... well 25 to be exact. Which means I should hear something by January.
-
OK TSC, you have one more day to get this done. Please put a little hope and magic into my Christmas since I can't be with my husband again this year.
Btw USCIS updated their processing time today and it seems like exactly the same as from last month when they updated on Nov 19. Whatsup with that? There has got to be a an error or a system glitch. I am sure they are working on March and April applications.
-
We called yesterday and the officer told me that they still working on February petitions
I'm sure that April filers will be approve soon at least yours was transfer already mine still pending .
You know what .... they tell you whatever they are looking on the screen. Its the same online status what we can see. so If you are talking to tier 1, they will tell you Feb 2013. which is incorrect.
It seems like USCIS has updated the processing time today according to which they are processing i-130 for IR-5 as of February 13 which is incorrect because it was the same lqast month. They may make another update in couple of days.
People from March and even April are getting approved (for both CR-5 and CR-1).so ...... its a glitch in their system. I am sure they are working on March and/or even April applications. I hope I hear something good in the next couple of days . How about a Christmas miracle
-
Any approvals for April Filers ? My NOA is April 16 and the file was transferred to CSC on Nov 25. Anyone herd anything from USCIS?
-
-
The good part is that CSV is moving a little faster than other service center. My NOA is also April 16. Both the cases were transferred to CSV on Nov 25 and I am hoping to hear something positive within this month.
-
If an approval doesn't come from TSC this week for me, I am going to be very discouraged going into the holidays....I really don't understand why they are so so slow compared to other service centers....
True. It is very discouraging at times the way things are processed at USCIS. On positive note last couple of weeks things have picked up and people have been hearing some sort of responses from these these service centers. In my case it has been almost 9 months but now I also hope that before they go on holidays, they should atleast get done with all April filers.
-
congrats everyone!
seems like the CSC is the fastest
Congratulations to you too. I hope you are right about CSV. I also applied April (NOA April 16) but since I am IR-5, I am still hoping my turn will come soon. My cases were transferred to CSV on Nov 25. Btw Just wondering how much time do you have before the I-130 gets approved, paying for the immigrant visa and I-864 and to send in the civil documents to NVC?
-
Yea, I had my husbands translated and my lawyer put it in the package. He asked for it so I gave it to him. from what I understand, its not required at the USCIS level but some service centers ask for it. I think if I were you, I'd get that thing translated on Monday morning. You need it for the NVC level anyway. I would hate for you to have to spend any extra time waiting.
After reading your post, I think I should have put in birth certificates for my parents too. Like you said, its not required by USCIS so I didn't bother sending along with my application. I am still hoping they will process and approve without birth certificates of the beneficiaries. This will give me sometime to gather birth certificates along with other civil documents for NVC.

Hi,
Yes, I'm a U.S. citizen and the petitioner. We only filed the I-130 and still haven't received the hard copy, so we don't know the new location at this point. Obviously I have no idea what's going on with your applications, but I have a feeling you're going to hear something soon. Statistically, CSC appears to be the fastest in processing applications.
Good Luck to you too. Hope you here something soon.
-
We finally got transferred (filed April 12) on December 12. Hoping it goes to CSC. They seem to be the fastest. An approval by the end of the year would be great.
Hi,
I was just wondering whether you (the petitioner) are a US Citizen? The reason I asked is that I also filed 2 separate applications in April (notice date of April 16) for my parents (I-130 and type IR-5). Both the applications were transferred to CSC from NBC on Nov 25th. Now I am just waiting to hear from them. Hope everything is ok with the applications.

Good to hear they are working..... It's good for you too that atleast your case got transferred but now the waiting begins. From here on forward you have to completely rely on the processing dates on USCIS and not the 60 days that came with your letter.
