  1. Hi .. guys . can we send the financial support affidavit to NVC before even they ask for it ?

No you cant. Untill your NVC number has been generated and you have filled out DS261 and then paid for AOS, you cant send anything. After your case is approved, it takes almost a month for you to actually pay AOS fees. Once paid you have to send the AOS along with the cover page of the paid notice.

  2. Hi guys just updated our case status below is details

On February 6, 2014, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

does anybody knows what they ll be needing now ?

Well .... its hard to say. Sometimes they would issue RFE's for simple and stupid things. I guess you will have to wait until next week to find out. Perhaps its something simple so you can reply back quick.

  3. Hi,

According to another forum, only TSC and NSC notifies about the case update. CSC does not notify about transfer to NVC. However, you can call NVC after a week and ask them if they received your case.

That explains and thank you. I was thinking as to why haven't I received any other update from CSC about sending the case to NVC. And yeah I think I will wait for about a week or so and then call NVC.

  4. If you're sending transcripts that you got form IRS directly, you don't need W2s. If you're sending photocopies, like you file online and print them out, then you do. I believe you need to send 1099s either way.

Just wondering .... will I be getting a text or case update that USCIS has sent the case/file to NVC? My case case got approved on Jan 28 and so far no new update. I am looking at your time line and it seems like 2 days after the case got approved your file was transferred to NVC. I thought maybe I should ask what to expect or perhaps should I just give another 2 weeks or so anyways and then check or call for any new update. Thank you.

  5. I'm still waiting for my case #, but they just got it on the 21rst.

Ok so now I am back to following you :)

I guess its safe to say that it takes about 2 weeks for the case to transfer from USCIS to NVC

and about a month to 40 days from NOA2 for NVC to issue their case numbers and then God knows how long after that before I can actually pay their fees and send in Affidavit of Support and all the civil documents.

Btw whats the link to Jan NVC filers?

  6. There it came.... At last!!! Congrats....... All the very best at the NVC stage...... Please keep me and all other April filers still waiting in your prayers buddy..............

Thank you and Definitely .... I hope all the March (all the ones waiting) and April (who should have approved a month ago) filers get approve by the end of this week which is basically another 2-3 days. It is just sad that these cases used to take 5-6 months. Infact USCIS still claims that their goal is 5-6 months...... well not sure what the goal is anymore. Nonetheless it is going to happen so hang in there as its going to happen soon !!!!

  7. I have not heard about the color coding on the RFE. However, i have heard on Administrative processing slip after interview at the consulate has multiple colors and it is coded etc.

Thank you mza001. Yeah I mean I was just thinking whatsup with the blue papers or what is so special about blue color . Well I guess it just soothes their eyes ..... lol

Wow only one approval today here at VJ from April ..... simply speechless !!!!

  8. Btw I was just wondering and it could be a stupid question ..... but the color of RFE or I mean the page on which its printed mean anything? I mean are there more colors and do they use different colors for different reasons? For the most part I think I have herd or received blue RFE (in my case) but I was just thinking if the color has any association with what phase the process is in right now?

  9. Does anyone know or have any idea whether there is some sort of policy as to how long should the person handling the case at the service center take once the RFE response is received? I mean they say to wait 60 days but there has to be some sort of policy right ? I mean they cannot just move onto other applications when they have an open file/case sitting right infront of them. Sometimes they take less than a week to approve a case and in some cases I have herd a month to even more than 6 months. Whatsup with that ??? So basically there is nothing or no guideline for them to follow or for us to keep a track of?

  11. Thank u much, I hope the same for u as well ... I really hope the latest will be by the end of this month but hoping for something really soon haha

Yeah its strange how they work. I came across another person who got RFE from CSC for the same reason I got one and after sending his reply within 10 days he his case got approved last week. So there is no set standard as to how they work on cases.

  12. Still nothing yet I spoke to tier 2 a few times and they keep telling me I have to wait 60days to hear something back

Well I really hope you hear something good in the next couple of days. For something so simple like providing original/certified copy of a copy shouldn't take that long from them to approve. I mean I know they say 60 days but I thought that it is just so people don't call them. I am hoping I hear something good from them for my cases by the end of this month.

  13. That's my theory, and past Ombudsman Reports seem to confirm that this is a tactic that they've used in the past at AT LEAST one service center. I'll quote the relevant documents if you'd like.

Yes Please. Kaylara that would be very nice. Btw they say wait for 60 days ..... does that mean anything? I mean I have they tell to wait for 60 days because they dont want people to bother them before that time but guess they do approve in about a month or so. What do u think or do u by any chance have any knowledge on this?
