  1. Damnit USCIS (aka Useless), approve my parents already! I really thought we would be sitting altogether celebrating New year together. I'm so disappointed that uscis are making my parents miss out on my daughters growing up, especially my 4 mth baby girl sad.png

btw when did you apply for your parents? What is your NOA1 and when and where was your cases trnasferred to? What center I mean.

  2. I hear that. I've been trying to find his local contact info since he took office. (I voted for him too.) I found it, and that's why I'm going for Booker next. I hope that he's more helpful than the other two have been.

If you keep me updated on his reaction to you, I'll do the same for me. :)

Sure thing. I hope I hear from her tomorrow assuming she is working tomorrow. Or better yet I hope I get approval emails and texts from USCIS ?. Either way I will definitely let you know the outcome

  3. Oh her (assuming that you're talking about Menendez's person), I wouldn't wait for her to call. She doesn't. And she's been off all last week, and it looks like this week as well. Must be nice.

They got my privacy waiver and information on Nov. 1. They told me I would get an answer within 14-21 business days. When I called on Dec. 19th and actually got her on the phone (btw, have been calling almost daily since Dec. 2. Don't call in the afternoon, she won't answer the phone at all.) she told me that they'd sent a request to the USCIS on Nov. 19th and hadn't gotten an answer yet. They are friggin' useless. (She tried getting me to send her in another privacy waiver, until I told her that I'd sent it in Nov. and was still waiting on an answer from them, and also had been calling for weeks trying to get an answer from her. After she told me that she hadn't heard anything from the USCIS, she asked me if there was anything else she could do for me. Yeah, like maybe do your damn job.)

I'm currently filling out the info to send to Booker. Maybe I'll get somewhere with him.

Also, Chris Smith's immigration person is incompetent AND useless. And barely literate. I swear, we should make a master list of how effective everyone's contacts to Congress people, Senators, and the Ombudsman has been.

I called Cory Booker's office. And the person in charge...... Her name is Leslie. I thought I voted for him 2 months ago why not call his office and ask to help me out ?

  4. I just sent my Senators office another request for an inquiry. In the last inquiry answer it said my file was transferred to TSC and I need to contact them directly for further information... SO... I asked the Senators office to provide a direct nmber or email address OR do another inquiry for me. I specifically asked them to find out if my case has been assigned to someone !

So, we'll see who is working tomorrow..

    I'm so sick about this.

The worst part is that they think that they can tell or update anything on their website and people wouldnt know anything. They think of us as fools. I guess they dont know that there are forums where people know and share information. They think that we are only looking at their processing times via their website and so they can tell whatever and we have no other way but to believe. I am thinking next month when they update it will be changed to Feb 14 coz technically they are busy so much approving July, August, November and perhaps December applications that they cant get around working on March and April applications.

  5. Hi loveMyTico

My situation is exactly the same as yours.

We had transferred to TSC on Nov, 27th. Ever since we haven't heard anything.... sad.png

I was expected, we might heard good news within two weeks.

Now we have to be apart new year and our anniversary also.

So hang in there! And I feel you!!

I don't understand what happens to Texas?? No approvals recently.

Now NBC is faster than them.

Honestly speaking I dont know who is faster than who. They said CSC was faster but I havent herd anything or approval I mean in the last 2 weeks I guess from that service center. I dont know if they are working or some sort of strike..... ??!!!???!!! Alot of people sent out emails and mails/faxes to their local representatives but guess what they are all on vacation till after New Year ...... Good to know they are spending time with their family

  6. I agree.... if they told me in the beginning that I could pay an extra $2500 to be processed immediately.... I would have paid right then and there. To me, thats business. What they are doing to us right now is torture.

They knew the backlog was coming. Its poor planning and the lack of caring individuals. Why didn't they even out the processing of the K-1's and the I-130's from the get-go?

They knew this was happening but chose to keep sending new filers to the NBC. I also think they knew from the beginning that the NBC would not be processing anything.

I can't even read the other threads anymore. It makes me so furious.

I almost called my mom and asked if I could borrow $1200.00 so I could fly to CR yesterday to be with my husband on New Years... but then reality hit me and I remembered that I have to buy a flight for his interview ( whenever that may be) Im so sick over this.

Now I just hope that they can atleast honor their 60 days notice. This step used to take only 5-6 months at the most. Now its ........ simply unspeakable. I really hope and pray that I hear something positive from CSV in the month of January. Thats all I can say. I wiush I could pay that additional $2500 but when I think about NVC, the medical fees and then the tickets ............ at that point I just calm myself down and tell myself that I have waited 8 months ..... Maybe another month wouldn't hurt.

  7. Thanks for the positive words. I'll take all I can get. I sure hope you're right. I was reading that June and later filers are getting approved left and right. It is soooo depressing. I am at the end of my rope. Who knew it would take this long just to get the USCIS to look at my file? I am trying so hard to hold it all together.

There has to some explanation why in the hell people from May, June and even November are getting approved when people from March and April are still waiting. Sometimes I think I should file another form for premium processing but considering I have to I-130 cases, it would cost me another about $2500 ($1225 per case). Thats alot considering what I have paid so far and what I will be paying to NVC. It's business ..... business to make money without providing proper service. In business world whenever there is an exchange of money the buyer can always hold the seller responsible ................ what the hell is happening here. If the work load is too much then hire more people. Its not my problem who is working and how they are working as long as the work is being done right. We are being screwed both ways !!!!!!!!!!

  8. same here this whole process sucks Im close to be 10 months pd march 19 and seeing may even june ppl getting approved it makes me sad maybr they left out march filers who knows

Did you try contacting them? When was your case transferred to one of the service centers? If you cant get any answer on the phone I suggest you send them a certified mail and demand for answers as to why its taking that long. Also you must have received that notice with 60 days notice right ...... attach copy of that and tell them that you were told 60 days so what is happening with the case now and how long you have to wait.

I am April filer and it is simply ridiculous that people who have filed in June , July and even November are being approved left and right. It is horrible.

  9. Acceptance

    Initial Review

    Decision

    Post Decision Activity

    Post Decision Activity

On December 27, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

    What does it mean?

Awesome. Congratulations Your I-130 is approved. Btw what was your time line. When did apply and when and where was your case transferred.

  10. I just saw that I-129 applications from Vermont Service Center are also being transferred to CSV starting December 23. This has to be a joke. USCIS is accepting more applications than they can handle. Why can they not just hold on accepting new applications for couple of months. Work on the back log and then start accepting new applications. They think that by transferring the applications from NBC or Vermont Service Center to other service center they have resolved the problem. They are simply transferring problem from one trouble center to another. What is happening here !!!

  11. I have no income because I am a stay at home mom, only my husband works and his income meets the poverty guidelines. We file taxes jointly. I sent the Affidavit of Support I-864 today along with the supporting documents. As my husband only the joint sponsor, I just followed the instruction #9 in the I-864 Instructions:

"If the person who is seeking the immigration of one or more of his/her relatives cannot meet the income requirements, a "joint sponsor" who can meet the requirements may submit a Form I-864 to sponsor all or some of the family members. "

In Form I-864, I put my husband's name on item #1. (I am the sponsor submitting this affidavit of support because..) then I checked the box on item 1d. "I'm the only joint sponsor," I filled out the rest of the forms about the income information based on our 2012 IRS transcript.

So, I will have to let you guys know if I receive an RFE letter asking me to send Form I-864 and I-864A. smile.png

If you are the petitioner, then for the purpose of I-864, you still have to fill out it out first even if you have zero income and then use your husband on I-864A to show his income. I am telling you this because I still remember when i was going through my green card and at that time I was in college and had no income. At that time (about 5 years ago) I remember I got an RFE saying the same. So I had to re-do I-864 and then submit it again. But your case is moving quick so good luck.

  12. Hello everyone,

I have a question I would like to ask,

I havent received all my dad's civil documents, therefore I would like to know if I can complete I 864 with supporting financial/tax/employment documents.

Then have another shipment once I get civil documents for DS260/261?

In other terms, do I need ANY civil documents for I 864 besides the ones I mentioned above ?

    Thanks

For I-864, you will submit all the supporting documents including other civil documents when you have paid the immigrant visa processing fees to NVC which normally happens a month after your I-130 gets approved and gets transferred to NVC. In your case I that will definitly happen in 2014 so for you I-864 you will have to submit the following:

Assuming you are the petitioner and only sponsor

    - 2013 Tax Returns

    - Letter of Employment from your employer

    - Other Assets valued at about 25% than the desired amount on the poverty line for the house hold size incase your income does not meet their requirement for poverty requirement

These are the documents that I will use when I will submit for both my parents. In addition in my case I will also use I-864A, even though I dont have to but just to be on the safe side. My I-864A is going to be from wife's side. We both work have well over their requirement.

Offcourse this is just the i-864 Affidavit of Support documents. Then comes other civil documents which I still have to collect. I just hope my cases get approved quick so I can start thinking about the step 2 of this process.

  13. According to the letter everyone has been quoting - the maximum wait from now to NOA2 USCIS is quoting is 60 days. I am really hoping that is the case.

But overall any news at this point is good news smile.png

True very true ... btw everyone got that 60 days letter. I called then yesterday and asked about that 60 days letter and they told me that 60 days means nothing if USCIS is still processing application prior to your notice date. But I agree any positive news is good news from USCIS. Even the news that they are working right after holidays is a good news ... lol

  14. Just received a notice of case transfer to a local office for my MIL!!!! I was definitely not expecting it since so far seems like USCIS is looking at April petitions....

It is definitely a good news but not sure now how long you might have to wait. Look at us (from April).... or even March filers who are just waiting for their applications to get approved. I hope the service centers start start spitting out approvals for yours and all other applications.

  15. Hello,

Been stocking you guys for a while, and would love to join the group. I am glad you received your NVC #, kerran smile.png I am still waiting..... I am confused about AOS b/c my husband and I file joint taxes, but I am the primary petioner for my parents. So will he be considered as a co-sponsor or what ?

Btw Congratulations. Seems like it only took about 40 days from date of transfer to NOA2. Hope is still alive :)
