  1. I was at embassy on Monday and I took my mobile in fine. They even gave me a plastic bag to put it in as I went through security. Didn't see any laptops or tablets in there but was too busy watching the screen and waiting for my number to come to really look.

  2. Do you feel like you're walking on air? =)

Feels good to no longer have any 'if, ands or maybes' floating around in the back of ya mind about what's going to happen. Just waiting for the passport to be sent back and sorting out last remaining bits and pieces and packing :)

  3. We're in the home stretch! Not much longer now. =)

I got Packet 4 / appointment letter today.

Step 1 on the green form is to complete the DS230 Part 1 & 2. That's wrong isn't it? We don't need to complete the DS230 anymore right?

good luck everyone waiting for a date!!

Quick question - are you guys having problems with ceac? i tried checking my status but it said there is a problem with the site....just wondering if i am the only one or not!

It's March now! Not much longer too go! :D

  4. Yay, congrats! Did you get your letter, or did you call NVC? I have a very similar timeline to you and am waiting on the interview date as well, so I wonder if mine will be around then as well!

    Hi all,

congrats to all who had their interview scheduled/completed!

I'm waiting for my husband's interview date as we're ready to move to the States near my family.-His medical was over 4 weeks ago and I see that our status has been updated recently so hopefully get the scheduling letter soon. What number did you use to call the NVC to get your interview date? (703) 439-2367 or 020 7499-9000?

I just want to make sure they have everything they need.

    Thanks!

Thanks :) I have been calling the NVC on 001-603-334-0700 and pressing option 3. I also just got an email from the embassy confirming the date and time also.

  5. In fairness, it is a privilege to immigrate to the United States, not a god given right.

Although it is frustrating, it is something you have to do. Ranting about it wont really change anything. Your medical was done before the embassy even got your LND number right?

And you didn't send off your Form of Readiness, and DS-160 until the 7th. So six weeks is the guideline the embassy gives, and 4 weeks is the average time around here. You are barely 2 weeks after sending off your DS-160 and documents.

You seriously need to calm yourself. You are looking at another 4 weeks from the time you get your date. You are going to make yourself sick, if you are this wound up for that long...

We all miss our loved ones, but sometimes it is beneficial to take a step back, and look at the bigger picture. What is a couple of months in the grand scheme of things and (hopefully) years and years of being together.

Thank you for saying that Srvman. When I see somebody post "All that time we could of been spent together wasted by lazy bureaucrats, I just add them to my "do not help" list to remind me not to waste my time answering their questions.

I apologise for my outburst. Didn't mean to offend anyone. Was alittle stressed out and upset with the whole process and me and my fiancée had been going thro a bit of a bumpy patch relationship wise. That's sorted now. Found out on Friday via email that embassy could not find my medical. Spoke to doctors today and they said its most properly a mix up. Noticed our case status had updated again so called I NVC and they said the medical was logged in this morning.

  6. Hi does anyone have any insight into why after we completed the medical and sent in our form of applicant readiness, that now over two months have passed and we haven't a word from the london embassy? our visa timeline is at over 18months now, and we are absolutely at our wits end.

Call the NVC now and ask them to look at your case and confirm that the embassy is not waiting for anything to be sent in from you. They will tell u if there is anything missing or needed in order to proceed. I called them today and asked and they told me the embassy has everything and it's just the interview date I'm to wait for. If they do have everything use the online contact form for the London embassy IV unit. U can also contact them on twiter on @USAinUKCGcorner they replied to my twitter message a few hours after I sent it.

  7. I've got nothing brilliant to add, but "fart arsing" around genuinely made me LOL. My fiance has his interview tomorrow morning so it's been tense around these parts. Thanks for the laugh.

I have been looking at people timelines and looks like most people get there interview date 7 days after the last thing is logged in to the system. Mine was last logged in on the 12th so hopefully tomorrow we will get our interview date cause embassy was closed on Monday. When your status changed on CEAC is that the same day interview date was set?
