My husband and I have been married almost 1 year on the 29th and I've just filed the I-130 for him. Can anyone give me a an idea of how long the process takes? I attempted to look through the numerous posts here but that got exhausting so I decided to just ask! Thanks for all of your help in advance!

it all depends on if there any issues with your case it could be 1 year it could be 2 years..congrats on your journey

ours took about two years only because some things got in the way but roughly like one year

DHL office?? I have never heard of that. Did anyone from Ghana actually pick their visa packet from DHL? That will be the first time.

depends on what embassy some embassies frown upon money being exchanged but pictures chats phone records tickets of flights are good

What are you talking about? A very high rate of couples going through the Ghana embassy are denied and sent back to USCiS to be revoked. That embassy has a high denial rate. In 2011 Ghana had almost a 60% denial rate. I'm sure today is higher. Please stick to the facts. Thank you.

not so much higher than it was then they're lots of people getting approved and I was one of them first time around..its all about having your information in order and organized most importantly know your spouse

My husband had his interview in June, 2016, and was told by CO that she had to review our evidence and to come back in 3 weeks. Came back in July and was placed on administrative processing. Being scrutinized because this is my second petition, i guess CO think it's marriage fraud. I gave them plenty evidence to prove our marriage is bonafied. I wish they would interview me, my family, his family so CO won't just assume, but know the facts. The not knowing when is so hard, just days passing being apart. All we can do is trust God that all shall be well in spite of.

Did they keep his passport ap is not always a bad thing but it does take awhile they just have to look into all of your paperwork

Hello all, may I please know why my k1 visa is taking too long to come in..I was approved at the Accra embassy and was told 2 weeks but in third week now and ceac says administrative processing... Should I be worried

They are doing extra security checks the same thing happened with me and my husband just be patient ?

Same mine was updated the date of my interview nothing since.. I call this morning to see what's going on and was told to keep checking the website..

Just be patient they are doing extra security checks it may take like a month before they issue it

Hello all, especially to my Ghanaian folks, can someone pls share their k1 experience after being approved..how long did the ceac status change to "issued"after the approval. .I was approved august 4 and til date my ceac status says "administrative processing" I haven't gone to the dhl office yet to check if its there...any similar situation pls?

the same thing happened to my husband but remember i told you they are doing extra security checks so its taking alot longer we waited 3 months after his interview before they finally issued it..everything will be fine just be patient

Hello everyone, after being approved in Ghana, does the visa arrive within the 2 weeks frame the embassy gives or takes longer?

it might take longer cause of the extra background checks

I know of one case where the petitioner was 15 years older than her fiancé and they got approved. So it is based on so many factors especially in Ghana.

2000 pages are too much. CO don't time to read all those page. Narrow it down to 2 page every week. Did you front load any chat logs when you were still at USCIS stage? front loading helps a lot. Also whatever love story you wrote to USCIS about how met is very important to the CO. So make sure that start practicing possible interview questions. When is your interview? Also, make sure that you arrange and divide them nicely. Good luck to you. If you have any further questions, PM me.

Front loading doesn't always help sometimes it hinders u depending on the co they don't always read all of that stuff plus the questions are based on what u send

No he just went after a week and that site didn't help

Well up to now we haven't gotten any mail or email to pick up package.our case says ready so just wondering Show long do we have to Waite to get it. Pls share ur experience with is thanks:i

My husband will go through lax airport has anybody went threw there for pie and if so how was it?

I know it's easier said than done but this will soon be over and a thing in the past I can say that now after two years of this process and everything is finally over hubby pick up his passport yesterda.... The one thing I've learned from this process is your time is not everyone else time so try to be patient and everything will fall into place in perfect timing
