The day I got approved I got so exited I immediately booked a ticket for 2 weeks later. OUCH.

Everyone else in my country had their visa in hand 2 or 3 days later. I got it 1 day before I left

I think it was karma lol. But yea, u will save urself A LOT of stress to wait a little bit longer! Get off skyscanner so u don't miss good prices or anything!

Rule of thumb is to never purchase a ticket until the visa is in hand. Assuming he is flying from Accra to Phoenix, you should have no problem getting a $900 one way fare. Las Vegas about the same, Los Angeles less I imagine. Check out google flights and Hipmunk.com. Best of luck!

I don't live in Phoeni.. Phoenix is where I had to send my petition when I started I found a really good site skyscanner and I'm just going to fly him to lax since it's cheaper then him coming to Vegas where I live

i was interviewed on 1st June and was informed i will be receiving my passport in July.

CEAC status still shows AP. waiting eagerly for my passport.

Yes my husband was in April for two months after his interview it was issued July 22 Im so excited

I don't live in Phoenix that's where my lockbox is when I started this process but Im in Vegas I'm going to fly him to lax and drive to pick him up there since it's cheaper I won't be able to control myself until I press purchase then I'll know it's real lol

Yea ours says issued and its only been a week. i believe you can go two days after it says issued. we are very happy now.

Has your husband picked his up yet or did they call him

Have you tried tracking,emailing of Calling them.... And what do dey say. If no den u should try calling them Itz faster. The numbers are on the paper that would be used for collection so u can let ur husband do that.

Lol I'm the wrong person to ask. I was so convinced we'll get approved on the spot before our interview so I also bought a ticket because the price was God sent. The rest is history now lol. With the status being issued though, I think 1 month is long enough.

Hi Everyone! The title is correct..... we were approved. I almost can't believe it because we have been through a lot . This was our third interview date . You can look at my earlier posts to get an idea of what happened to us. I will also put a detailed review as well. All in all I can say that Ghana is a very tough embassy but we have survived. True love always prevails and don't give up. You can almost be doomed upon your case specifics when u get there but with God by your side, you can come up on top. A lot of red flags can also be avoided if u read all the posts here on visa journey and prepare. When my fiancé got there yesterday he took his temporary denial 221g sheet that only said he needs oath and fingerprint. The counsular called him to the window and told him he was just there to do those two and no questions were asked. The computer had a little trouble reading his fingerprint but once they got a good capture, they congratulated him that he was approved and sent him on his way. He ended up being the last person there but he was probably the happiest that day. He was smiling from ear to ear as I am right now after hearing the good news. Thank you to everyone for all your help, advice , and encouragement thus far. We appreciate it so much. If u have any questions feel free to message me.

They called my fiancé to come back to the Embassy to pick up his visa/passport.

Im so frustrated. Delta.com will only let me search tickets originating from the USA. I need to bring my husband here from Lagos Nigeria. Delta has a flight from St. Louis to Lagos Aug 23 for $1,164. But I can't look up Lagos to St. Louis, so I called them. The lady said the cheapest fare is $2700 !! and that was using the flexible days(round trip because its cheaper that way). I asked her why such the big price difference and she said because it isn't originating here in the states. And she said that was the average fare and I wouldn't find anything cheaper even looking at different dates. I think people on here have found tickets a lot cheaper. Please tell me how you did it.

That's whenmy husband is suppose to leave use skyscanner it's let's u scan the whole month and other months for tickets

My husband went to the pick up place two days after it said issued on line and was able to pick it up. But that was in Nigeria. Congrats!

My husbands visa said issued on Friday 7/22 will it be ready on Monday??

Hi can someone pls help me understand this 221g thing,,,,jus came home from the embassy n that's what I came home wth.....soo angry and sad,,,dnt even knw wat it means since the co won't tell me the reason for my denial....he only gv me that letter or form watever n told me my case will be sent bck.. It's a denial they will send the reasons why in 4-6 months sorry about your denial

Case went from AP to Ready back to AP? That part of your post is not quite clear. Our case is also in AP. I see the status was updated today although it still shows as AP.

If they have your passport, then it probably went back to ready, and then to AP (for visa issuance). In that case you should expect to see Issued by 1 - 3 working days

Sorry when I wrote the first post it was ap then ready and back to ap then 2hrs later it was issued I didn't think it would happen that fast I did call my senators to inquire cause it was taking to long from the time of the interview
