Did you receive an Immigration visa packet? "Sealed Immigration Packet" as it states in many guides.
My wife has a sealed packet from her medical but not sure what exactly Immigration packet is. Any ideas?

Wife approved! Last night.
Embassy Review : Her interview was at 8:30 and she got there at 8:15. After she was let in she was asked to start organizing Medical package, ds260 confirmation, copy of civil docs, etc in particular order and wait to be called.
She was called by the local Indian employee first and asked the following:
- Are you working?
- Mother's maiden name?
- Visited other countries before? Any more than 1 year?
She returned her originals and took the passport.
After which she was given a token and she waited for almost 2 hours to be called:
Asked the following by the CO:
- Love or arranged marriage?
- How'd we meet?
- What I do for a living?
- You went to school in the US, right? (My wife did her Masters in the US)
- Congrats you are approved :-)
Very simple process, other than the wait. -
My wife's interview was last night and it was approved!!!!
At long last the journey is over, no more waiting_______ :-)
-
but if you got the interview letter with the date why would you not be in the list?
Yeah, and that's a bit scary. however, since my interview schedule happened on the second round wondering if it didn't get updated on time. Once our case is delivered to the consulate, I'll call them to confirm.
Really hopping there is no screw up...

I just got the email to make payments after obtaining case number & IIN last week. When I tried to signin with my Case #, and IIN, it says : This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.
I am on the phone with NVC waiting for my call to be picked up.. any idea why will they terminate.. and what should I do ? !!!
Don't worry, this is completely normal. Give it a day or so....

Congrats BOS_LHR and waiting____________!
We just got our email for a May 28 interview!
Congrats!! Glad to see you got the interview this go round :-)

I'm stuck in an all-day meeting, literally have been in this room since 9am... and I just got the email notification for a May 19 interview. HOT DAMN!
Now to try to contain my excitement until I can get away from my colleagues!
Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed for me, maybe you helped tip the scales!
WOW!! Email for the IL in hand, that's beautiful. It's well overdue.... Really happy for you, congrats to you and your husband.
Thanks for being the indicator of good news for me for the entire NVC journey. I was literally a day behind you for each of the key milestones at NVC. Considering that you should have gotten the interview on the 21st
. Haha, you know what you deserve the two day bonus.
-
Oh wow, congrats! When was your case complete?
Based on the post from that member yesterday about getting the case complete email... My guess is case was complted on the 8th..
Rooting for you BOS... I'm sure you are already enjoying the sweet music of NVC as we speak...
-
Case completed today as per NVC rep. So happy to join you guys.
Congrats!! Very happy for you.

Spiteful implies malice, whereas I had none. Jealous, perhaps, but definitely not spiteful.
I do apologize for mistaking your file as September to February, when it was August to February. I am used to the European way so that was an honest mistake. As for belittling you, I really don't think telling someone to "Be happy" is belittling them.
Anyways, kudos for posting the file. I am sure many people will find it interesting.
The amusing comments were condescending and belittling to me. I was writing about my mindset during Sept-Nov where the expectation were 13 months, so yes telling me to be happy after the fact didn't feel good. I sure as hell know how lucky I have been compared to so many others, especially the Mar-Jun filers.
In any case, no hard feelings.
Good luck to you on your progress through the NVC.

Thank You.
Very glad to do it!
Ok, time for my rant.
I haven't had a chance until now to do any kind of thorough review of they sent me. I am really upset at the redactions. Right at the end of document around May there was already discussion about workloads and issues. They've redacted everything in those areas! Really upsetting.
I should have posted this earlier for those who are reviewing this entire doc. The following are the exemptions claimed when they redact or withhold information. b4 and b6 are perfectly reasonable. However, they sure as hell have abused the b5!! If you go through the doc each redaction has the associated reason for it. All of the important stuff that could be damning to them have been redacted using b5. If i understand correctly they are withholding this info due to potential pending litigation or current litigation? Anybody here with a law background? Am I understanding correctly?
I wasn't planning to, but I might appeal some of the redactions.
Exemption (b)(4) protects trade secrets and commercial or financial information that is privileged orconfidential. The types of documents and/or information we have withheld may consist of unit pricing, business sales statistics; research data; technical designs; customer and supplier lists; profit and loss data;overhead and operating costs; and information on financial condition.Exemption (b)(5) provides protection for inter-agency or intra-agency memorandums or letters, whichwould not be available by law to a party other than an agency in litigation with the agency. The types ofdocuments and/or information that we have withheld under this exemption may consist of documentscontaining pre-decisional information, documents or other memoranda prepared in contemplation oflitigation, or confidential communications between attorney and client.Exemption (b)(6) permits the government to withhold all information about individuals in personnel, medical and similar files where the disclosure of such information would constitute a clearly unwarrantedinvasion of personal privacy. The types of documents and/or information that we have withheld mayconsist of birth certificates, naturalization certificates, drivers’ licenses, social security numbers, homeaddresses, dates of birth, or various other documents and/or information belonging to a third party that areconsidered personal. -

Are you all on there as per your scheduled appointment by the NVC? How about folks who got the interview during the second phase? My case # isn't on the list :-(
Thanks.

Fantastic! How did you get that information? Is this on that 420 page document that you posted? I'm looking for my consulate (Rio de Janeiro)
No, not in the document :-)
These are the case files being shipped to the embassy and consulates to prepare for the interview. dwheels has a link to the procedure on the first post on how to search this. Here are the links:

Thank you...I was watching your timeline close and when you made it through I knew I couldn't be far behind.
Awesome that you got your interview date right away.
Thanks! I have been extremely lucky since I was transferred in early February to CSC. I am wishing for a swift conclusion to this process for everyone still waiting.....

These emails further confirm what we all knew: USCIS is grossly inept and has been playing with our lives. With immigration in the news, I think we need to get organizing again. Even if you've gotten your 2nd I-797, there's a hundred thousand right behind you who have not.
I agree, we need to remind USCIS and our representatives that no matter what they do for immigration reform... never again should it be at a cost of legal immigration. I have a letter pending to the staffers and my senator to thank them for their help and to update them on my case completion. I will be emphasizing that point one more time with them.

That exaplains EVERYTHING! That also affirms my suspicion that people who adjust their status in the US (file the I-130 plus I-485) are processed much faster because they're paying an extra $1000. K-1 filers are processed faster because they will also adjust status plus get a conditional green card plus the 10 year green card. We I-130 filers are only paying for wither a conditional + green card or just green card. It's all about the money they make off of us. SMH
I didn't quite take that away from that..
Their point is that a processing a 130 for IR/CR1 takes certain amount of time and resources for which they charge a hefty fee for $420 currently. Now they also allow the same people to file a I129F for K3 at no additional charge. There issue is if they separate track the 129F and 130 it's twice the work for them for the same amount of money. I don't agree with it, they should either get it off the books completely or add a fee for the extra work that it incurs. Don't leave it in limbo as they are currently.
Remember, if one goes through the K3 route; they have to adjust status after the marriage as well which will incur the additional $1000 fee .

How do you check for this
I just checked based on the instructions from the first of this thread.
-
ahh...what does this mean? I had CC on 04/10, do you think I have a chance for May end. I will still take early June though.
Hi,
Unfortunately this might mean that the second round of scheduling is done; all those who made it this round had their package shipped with this shipment. Wish you a speedy interview date, good luck...
