AOS paid as of today!

every step of this journey has been terrible.. from the start of the uscis to the approval, to the shipping to nvc to the case number to the aos packet and the ds 261 filing. now still waiting on ds 260 and iv fee to become invoiced. this is outrageous and absolutely ridiculous. i should have just filed DCF or brought my husband on visiting visa... i will never suggest this to anyone. it is the worst government institution. they are always giving excuses after excuses now nvc is saying we are just so busy... bull #######!!! get a handle with the people that have been waiting for 1 year!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!

Once the conditional green card is received, the US spouse is no longer needed for further processes. The foreign spouse could remove conditions on their green card in the event of divorce or death of the US spouse by proving that the marriage was entered into in good faith.
People are going to jump all over you because of the way you asked the question. They will assume you are the beneficiary trying to get a green card without regard for the US spouse, when in fact you are the US spouse trying to secure your wife's future. Ignore the negativity.

I do not think TBone is being silly at all. He is advising that many consulates only look at what is in the petition and many times seem to have their decision predetermined before the interviewee gets there. So for example in the Moroccan consulate it is very necessary to front load the original petition with all the proof you can because this may be the only chance they give you to do so because, by talking to other people from this consulate and reading here on Visa Journey, many times they will not even look at anything you bring with you to the interview. I felt his advise was very beneficial to read.
I feel that the best thing to do is look at what others have posted about each individual consulate and make your decision on how many picture you send from that information.

My Chinese fiancee is much more frugal and better with money than I am. Not only will she be on all my accounts with her own cards when she gets here but I'm handing over managing them to her. Lol, we will be better off.
we have complete transparency and are completely on a share everything, all is both of ours plan. When she can finally work here so much the better but I think its the only way a good marriage can be. Trust and openness with each other makes this work. (I just hope someday she will let me buy a new motorcycle, LOL... If I'm really good and we can afford it of course!)
one of the reasons I broke up with a Filipina I was dating in the past was that even though her life was a shambles, every couple of months something would come up and she'd send ALL of her money that shed been struggling to save for her own place or a car etc back to the Phillz for whatever reason they all thought up to guilt her with. I can understand wanting to help but when the oxygen masks drop down on the plane you put your own on first before turning to help those around you. ...and your mother doesn't have enough money to buy presents for her 47 god children is not the kind of emergency that should make you homeless and unable to pay your own bills. Particularly when you have a pile of siblings who dont help and live right there. There seems to be a mindset that the ones who leave are like colonies that exist purely for the be me fit of the mother country and aren't allowed to actually have a life of their own. It's not fair for them to expect this but at some point you have to stand up for yourself and put your own life first.

See, this is the kind of BS I can't stand for.
While I understand your sentiment, you are letting emotions prevail over actual law.
If he wasn't a citizen and his green card was revoked, then he's SOL.
But if he was a US citizen in the first place and just no one took notice, then it's a different matter as he should not have had a green card in the first place, nor should he have been deported, nor can he lose his status as a US citizen as you seem to imply.
So please get off your soap box. If you know anything about the law and feel like providing advice with a solid foundation in said law, do. If all you want to do is vent against criminals and foreigners, spare us.

Where are the approvals? I have my dancing shoes and ready to open a bottle of wine.....

Don't worry at all, your RFE will be for some BS reason, probably something that was lost in transfer that you actually submitted! Seen it loads on this forum recently!

Hang in there Izzy. Jamie and you have tons and tons of proof of bona fide marriage and face time together. This is just a bump in the road. I feel like its probably something simple and soon you will speed pass us all to get your visa, insha allah. One day you two will visit me and Mohammed, and we will laugh at how crazy this whole process made us.
Watching Jamie leave and not knowing when you will see him again has made you extra sad so I am sending you extra "hugs" today.

Another good bye ,I cannot wait for the day that when we say goodbye it will only for a couple of hours and not months and months.
Now to deal with the Damn USCIS again ...we looked over our papers and its looks like the RFE will be for something really stupid ...the I130 just has couple of mistakes like leaving some answers blank instead of N/A ,for proof we sent them flight itineraries,pictures from all over the place taken in Tangier,Madrid,Cologne,Frankfurt,Copenhagen,Wyoming,Wisconsin with friends and family from first visit to last ,joint savings account ,Wedding pictures ring receipts.
I gave all documents to my husband to take with that i possibly could get just to be on the safe side ...
So if this is not enough proof we will make them feel sorry for sending us an RFE ... we got like 6000 hours + of skype calls ,we have 10.000 + pictures ,we can will get tons of letters from people who know us,we have like 300 hours of World of Warcraft logs ,we have this diary that we fill in every night and it is over 400 pages so far if it was a book it would be a 1000 pages + novel ,plus faceook and whatsapp messages thousands and thousands of those...all flight tickets i must have like 12 + or so ,and if they want even train ferrys and buss tickets hell even tickets from movies and museums ! we have pictures from our favorite restaurant 250+ pictures and like 20+ visits ...
Cannot stop crying ;( i mean we have another 5-6 month to go and we cannot afford another visit ...we have to save up for the next steps and the next two plane tickets if that ever will happen !! i miss my dogs they havent seen me in over 8 months ! i hate this so much.
Sorry for being extra whiny today its just i think i might lose my mind if this keeps up

I've seen a lot of nasty, over generalising posts on this forum in the past year but yours really takes the gold medal. The affairs of fellow VJ members and those who are scammed really is none of your business . Yes people sometimes almost seem to ask for it by jumping into a marriage without knowing the beneficiary but what has it got to do with you? Calling all middle aged men who marry younger spouses losers is unfair and wrong. Why do you not criticise middle aged women who marry 20 year old north Africans too if you are going all out to be offensive. I really think posts of this nature do not belong on this website at all and you should keep personal opinions to yourself and not use them to attack others.

I haven't been on VJ much the past 2-3 days as I have been working and in my free time trying to figure out what is needed for the National Visa Center. I usually try to keep up with all the august filers but now I have fallen a little behind.
I am right there with you Lisa............confused, lol. I understand my part but my question is.....once we get the number from NVC do I just go pay the fees and the DS-260 package is a hard copy mailed to my husband or do we log on to some site to electronically fill in the forms? Its all kind of confusing. I understand what is needed just not how we get it.

On February 19, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice.
Finally!!!!! Unbelievable......a dream comes true lol

My husband doesn't give me any limit about how much money that he will give me per month. Since in the beginning of our relationship, we are always be transparent about everything include how much money we make per month and how much money we spent. He gave me an access to his bank account and he sent me one of his ATM Card so that i can take some money out every time i need it, even though i am still in overseas. My husband gives me 'thrust' and that how marriage couple suppose to be.

No, it's happening every day. Remember a standard application only takes about 15 minutes to adjudicate! They should be doing about 1300/day if they get back to their rate when they were receiving I-130s directly.
