  1.  I am sending about 10lbs of additional paerwork. 3-4 years worth of statements of our 2 principal accounts  (one for our direct deposits and non-essential spending, the other our bill paying account) several statements from 2 credit cards showing me as the account owner and my husband as authorized user, 2016 & 2017 tax returns, closing docs and mortgage statements since we purchased a house 4-5 months ago, recent pictures, more utility bills that show new address, a letter from my obgyn about my pregnancy and expected due date.

I am not even sure what additional evidence I would send if i file my n-400 soon.! This is literally everything short of affidavits....

May the odds be ever in our favor!

I also received RFE. I was very disappointed as well. I also sent last month statement as well but apparently it wasn't enough despite all the other evidence I sent. I mailed off response already. Now the wait continues.

Did you send them statements for the entire marriage?

I have 4 different types of accounts if I print statements for all of them I will hurry them in paper.

ahh that is not good at all

RFE should stand for randomly generated evidence requirement.

I had submitted bank statements, for about 3 months, but we did not withdraw or deposit money in it.

It was stagnant with the same account balance each month, we had opened it and only used it during the first few months after which we stopped using it :(

Do you think, that would be a problem, expect a RFE?

    regards

    Steve

Based on the letter they sent me they wanted to see statements for the entire history of the marriage. So maybe?

I will have to go back and check, but I am pretty sure we can file an n400 while the I-751 is still being processed, if our residency falls within the allowed timeframe. Apparently this forces USCIS to speed up and adjudicate the I-751. I read this here on VJ and apparently lots of people have done it.

I had an Infopass appointment today, he said as long as we are in the time frame we can apply for the citizenship while the I-751 is still being processed. We don't need to wait to get the new green card specially since they are so backed up.

Has anyone here tried to travel outside the US since they filed for adjustment of status? Technically, my green card has expired in April 2017, but has been extended for another year. The letter said we could travel during this time, but has anyone actually done so while waiting?

I had an Infopass specifically to inquire about this since I have a trip next week. The officer told me had to take both the green card and the letter. He said both of them show the case is pending and act as a valid green card for the next year. He also warned me not to lose the letter as they only send one.

  4. I spent 3 months with my then boyfriend before we got engaged. I was working at a family business so it wasn't a big deal. I didn't refer to anything as my last whatever and i certainly didn't travel with a birth certificate or college transcripts or anything other than my current passport.

  5. Hi Jessica!

Unfortunately you can't get the antecedentes penales ni policiacos without a dpi. He could call to ask if they take a passport or a driver's license but I'm pretty sure I took my DPI to get it.

Also, Unfortunately I think Guatemala is in pause to issue any new DPI if you read the news they haven't been issuing them for about 5 months since there is a problem with the machine in guatemala. The guatemalan embassy though has embajadas móviles throughout that might be easier to get the paperwork started for the dpi. For my husband we went to the nyc embassy and it took about 5 months to get it in the mail

  6. I had seriously given up hope! I started focusing on my job instead of my immigration process because it aggravated me not be able to do anything about it just wait... I did the whole process inquiry and the letter from that basically said they can't provide any extra information on why it's taking longer... Seriously??? A couple of days letter I got a letter stating we MIGHT be eligible for an interview waiver... Maybe being key word... So again I focused on my job, then I got a work email saying my work permit was expiring in 3 months and I'd be without a job if I didn't straighten that out! I did all the paper work to re apply for my advance parole/work permit and then cheduld an info pass to see what was going on with my AOS... Then today I got the GLORIOUS text saying my green card is in production!!!! Thank God!!

  7. So I'm in the middle of my Adjustment of Status, I received my work permit/advance patrol last July and it only valid for one year... We haven't heard much from my I-485 other than the potential interview waiver letter received a month ago after my application was outside normal processing times. Anyway, my question is how long before should I re apply for an extension of my advance parole/work permit and what's the paper work I need to do so? What's the process??any info will be greatly appreciated!!

  8. Anyone filed in May 2014 still waiting???

My case got so mysterious these days...Here's the story...

I didn't receive PIW (potential interview waiver) letter.

My husband contacted our congresswoman because it's been so long and no update for our case at all...

    1. On 2/18/2014 Immigration Services Officer replied the congresswoman's email saying that my case is identified as a "possible interview waiver" case.

In the email, the ISO says "The interview waiver cases are being shipped to the local USCIS field offices or adjudication based on field office capacity and not necessarily office of jurisdiction."

2 .On 2/23/2014, my lawyer emailed me saying that she called and my case is currently in the NYC filed office. She asked that I can either do infopass to get more info or just wait for the interview notice.

So, I showed my lawyer the letter from the congresswoman...And my lawyer said "They do not know what they are talking about. 100% you need interview. no way of waiver as it is the law. disregard the letter."

    3. I called again today to USCIS, got transferred to Tier 2 (she called me back) just now. She said there's no record that my case is PIW, and no record shows that my case is in NYC field office (which my lawyer said it is).

Tier 2 lady did mention that since the email is from the ISO of the Congressional Unit, the information might be more accurate than whatever in the USCIS customer service computer system...

But the Tier 2 lady said that my case is definitely not in NYC field office...

WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH? lol OMG...

I just recieved the interview waiver letter yesterday on the mail... It's kind of strange I just got it considering I applied for a process inquiry like a week ago because the field office was WAY behind... Also, they sent it to our old address, and he last official process on my uscis was a change of address letter...

Anyone who got the waiver letter getting any news?

    Still none here,

Not looking forward to having to do more paperwork for an extension :(

I got my waiver letter yesterday, dated February 25th... I'll probably apply for an extension to paperwork, just to be on the safe side... When did you get your letter?

  9. Hey everyone, so me and my husband filed for AOS on May 19th that's the official date it was received and accepted, I did my print in June. And then never hardback or got any other mail until today's got this email

    Fingerprint Fee Was Received

On June 5, 2014, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC1*******49. Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

We moved for Labor Day and that was the last update we got, I think we are we'll beyond the buffalo office processing date, as in... We should have heard something by now...
