  1. Thank God after 5 months since filing and a lot of stress we finally got the visa! I went to the American embassy at Guatemala to pick up my visa at 3:30pm and got it not even five minutes after getting there I just had to check all the data was correct! And indeed it was!

I thank God for everyone who helped me out at some point! I know I asked several people for their help and almost always got an immediate answer! If it weren't for this website and community I don't know if anything would have turned out so smoothly!

Now it's only 33 days for me and my fiancé to finally be together again! And then we begin the AOS journey (does it ever end???) anyway! Thanks and I'll be sure to help anyone to the best of my abilities and experience, if I can't I'll pray for you!

  2. My interview was today and I got APPROVED! They didn't ask for anything else other than what was stated in the package and just barely asked me a few questions about how we met, last time I went to the states to visit him, and where we planned to live! I did have a bit of a hiccup with my fingerprints but all in all it went great! Looking forward to Monday to finally have the visa in my hands!!

  3. I'm from Guatemala, when I called the doctors office they told me they needed this to get your case number, so if you have any other documentation provided by an official agency with your case number. I would suggest calling the doctors office and telling them what you have! But always check with the doctors office first!

  4. Hey I'm a fellow Chapin member! My fiancé and I submitted our I-129f on October last year after getting engaged in August, we also want to have a religious wedding here in Guatemala because we both have families here and we were hoping to get married by August so that there was enough time! Considering we got our NOA2 EXTREMELY fast we felt it was best to push Back the religious wedding in Guatemala until the end of December to guarantee enough time to get either the advanced parole or the actual green card! What took us the most time was receiving any sort of information about package 3 (they only sent us the instructions after many many calls to the embassy after two weeks after we got the letter from the NVC) and then the next available interview was until March!!! I booked the interview in January so you figure how busy they were. I would strongly recommend you move your wedding date and don't even try to estimate how long things will be until you get your NOA2 then take into consideration if your case has any sorts of problems that might delay the process! If you need any help or info feel free to Private message me and I'll help with what I can! Good luck!

  5. I know he will be here illegally, but I don't know if this will affect me. No I haven't contacted the embassy, I have mixed feeling about all this sad.png

I dont know the EXACT procedure for this but remember YOU were the one who singed all the paperwork petitioning him because you wanted to marry him, you must have presented a paper that stated that you were financially responsible for him... remember you filed the f-129 because you INTENDED TO MARRY HIM, if this has changed i would notify the authorities since it might be considered illegal for him to enter the united states with that visa if he doesnt intend to marry you...

  6. So on december 20th we recieved the letter from the NVC stating that our case had been forwarded to the Guatemalan Embassy as part of the process (our papers were approved in November by the Texas service center). I havent heard anything from the embassy and when i try to contact them by phone all i get is a call center with basic information about non.immigrant visas i cant seen to get someone to ask them specifically about my process, i cant even get anyone on the phone its all programmed stuff.. i wonder if this is a fairly regular time period for the embassy not to contact me or if i should start contacting them.. Has anything like this happened to anyone? what should i do?

  7. This website has helped me throught my entire process but Im slightly confused... I just got our NOA2 on the mail the other day, but I dont know which NVC they sent it too.. where are we supposed to find out? Do they send something else in the mail to the USC or to the Alien fiance.. Where do we call to see if they recieved it or how our process is doing..

Any information would be amazing! and greatly appreciated! Thanks again!!

  8. As long as you dont do drugs, and have good health normal health you should be ok. the main thing i beleive they are looking for is that you dont do drugs or have any diseases like Aids etc. good luck you should be ok wink.png <3

Thank you sooooo much i was beggining to freak out a little! hahaha!

  9. I got my NOA2 16 days after they accepted the case,we know how EXTREMELY lucky we are... My fiancé called several times and every time they estimated a completely different time lapse, first three months then five to nine... We really did our research and sent, in my opinion, a fairly complete package, we tried to anticipate any possible problems /questions they might had and just sent it along with our package... I guess it all comes down to luck, but you will all be in my prayers!

  10. Ok so im VERY new to this whole k-1 visa and today is the first day i actually sat down in order to tackle the paper work. The first question that came up is 1) Are g-325 forms still requires? if so 2) Is it absolutely necessary that mine (alian fiance) is originally signed, because i would have to sign it here where i am (outside the US) and then mail it to him, which will delay the process... =/

    3) Can i take a screen shot of my facebook in order to send as Supporting Evidence, we use our facetime to talk to each other and that doesnt really show much other than he is the only person i pretty much talk to.. Will it help? would it even count?? anyway if anyone could please help!!! Thanks
