hi. Even my IV package cover sheet said "Attn: CMR" and that's what I put on the envelope.

I was wondering the same thing. NVC decided to delay the IV fee invoice because they had too much work on their plate (according to them), right?
But... some agents and supervisors are telling us it's okay to send the IV package with the AOS bar-coded cover letter?
Maybe they think it's okay since they can still slow down the timeline for reviewing the DS-260 form? I talked to Supervisor Octavio on this issue. He told me that you may not get a CC faster even though you send your IV package with the AOS bar-coded cover letter since it still takes up to 30 business days (at the time I talked to him) for them to review the DS-260 form and you can't fill out the form unless you have paid the IV fee.
However, the clear advantage of sending the IV package with the AOS bar-coded cover letter is if you get a checklist on the IV package, you won't wait another 60 calender days.
I didn't do this because I was afraid of NVC misplacing my original documents. It could take two months to replace one of the police certificates. However, if I had two sets of my original documents (or they can be replaced within weeks), I would have sent my IV package with the AOS bar-coded cover letter.

IV invoice paid and IV package shipped today! I'll update my timeline and signature when I get home. Interestingly, my IV cover sheet told me to post it to CMR instead of DR, so I did. I thought CMR was for the AOS docs

I just sent in my AOS checklist packet and the address on the barcode sheet was Attn: DR. If your barcode said CMR then that's where it needs to go.

My husband will be coming home with me after our anniversary/honeymoon! No more goodbyes, no more tears of sadness, no more hogging the bed!
SAYLIN, you are a rock star! Without your wiki, I know we would have been check listed! Thank you to everyone else for their support, laughs and ears for the last year, it's been quite a journey. My Oscar speech is on the September thread lol

No problem. Go by what it says on Saylin's Wiki as it's 100% accurate.. Don't let others freak you out when someone they tell you something different . It's not good for this process, and it will save you from pulling your hair out! .
Fingers crossed for you too!! We need to get you to NY .

You should be fine. It does say Attn CMR on there. Attn DR is only used for checklist documents.
    Congrats!

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've been on here. Apologies I tried to catch up but with 71 pages it just isn't possible. I've made a few observations/additions though:
60 day email, I received mine on Monday making reference to the docs they received Jun12th. These are the IV docs which were delivered on the 12th but scanned on 17th. My first thought is, they do make note of when they were delivered, hmmmm, funny how they never mention this date on the phone
Soooooo, my docs which were scanned June 17 were reviewed and approved on Aug 1st! Woooooo hooooo. this is the IV docs if anyone is interested. Still waiting on AOS review, it was scanned July 9th. I see someone from scan date July 18th was approved but consensus seems to be attorneys push things along faster, so I just wait and see.
Congrats to all Aug CC's, and good luck everyone. I'm going to try and be more proactive again, but I really needed some time out from it all and it's done me the world of good.

I realize priority date doesn't apply to IR-1 cases, but what's going on seems like a case for using it.
So, a series of short apprivals at uscis, and that sets the rest of us--who waited for months at uscis--back 60+ days because of the influx?
In true VJ fashion, I propose (ta da) a bureaucratic solution.
    1. Nvc gets mail. Mail folks open the mail.
    2. Any mail with a barcode gets scanned immediately and placed in a queue generally according to PD associated with that scan. (With some room for non exactness but in general "similar timeline" groupings). Processed based on USCIS PD.
3.Anything without a scan (aka a new case sent to NVc) gets put into a several month (or geez, at least a few weeks) wait IF that uscis PD is from the last 1-4 months and not an expedite case.
I'm sure there's holes in my plan, including the theory that under this plan the overall timeframe will NEVER improve, but I have nothing better to do on a Tuesday night than muse about "improving" NVC

Add me to the "got the email" list and the "date of docs received doesn't match what I was told on the phone" list.
    Scan date July 8 (aos)
Iv packet to arrive this thursday. So sad the 60 days will apply to it, too. Although I am not away from my spouse like so many of you, I miss America very much, and am dismayed at another Christmas in a land that's never felt like a real home.

FYI people...if you haven't read the earlier posts regarding "the letter". NVC stated yesterday that it was 60 total days, not 60 business days. We are not going from 6 weeks to 12 weeks. That adds about 2 to 3 weeks onto the original "30 business days" end date.
For example; I called this past Monday and they told me my original "30 business days" was 26 August. Yesterday, after receiving "the letter" they told me that my case should be reviewed by 14 September. I believe it will fall in between these two dates. This is just what was conveyed to me by an operator when I called yesterday. Of course we will wait and see.
You have a number of options at this point:

It's been over 60 days for me and they still won't do anything. They don't need to cover their arses when there's no accountability to anyone in the first place.

    Hello there,
It usually takes a couple of days before the IV payment portal will show up in the CEAC site. In my case, it took 3 days before I was able to pay the IV bill.

    Hey Annie,
How are you doing? I want to second the notion that Palnned Parenthood can help. When I was a teen, I got srvices for free. Really.
Planned Parenthood may also have resources for you to get out of your scenario. Please consider sharing your situation with them. They may know of local shelters and support for you, ok?
It is not your job to monitor your husband's drinking. Think for a moment about this: imagine the stress and responsibility this puts on YOU. He offloads responsibility to you with that breathalyzer #######. Do you want to be like a mommy/nanny to him for the rest of your life?
You can support him, but accountability, change, and a plan to get sober are all on him.
A person heavy into his addiction will say anything to get you off his back, so he can return to his addiction.
Real change happens over time, with consistent, humble, dramatically changed behavior.
You deserve better than this, Annie. If your hubby changes some day, you could always consider reconciliation then after seeing real changes. but while he's married to alcohol, he can't really be married to you in a healthy way.

I wonder if the agent meant 5-10 business days until it shows complete/ready for review.I was told our ds-261 (received june 25) would be under review for 30 biz days and the IV fee released after that time. That seems to be the general timeline around here.
My IV fee is still not available.
