  1. Really? 2 weeks? howd you find that out mate? its funny, thanksgivings no big deal to me, even now. really hope its before christmas though.

  2. i dont drink as much as i used to, still have a blow out once a month while ive been here, and could do with a few pints tonight. typical. medical on friday! im sure itd be fine but itd be just my luck to hand a grain of alcohol hanging around in my system!!

  3. I thought you may have had something to do with it - but didnt like to say!lol. Yes, I know, Ive got to get on their case, do I just call the rip off number do you know mate, or email them, what do you think? We've not had to deal with the nvc at all really, it went from csc to nvc and without any processing, straight to london

  4. Hey mate, she called the nvc and spoke to a 'normal' person, and she said that london approved the expedite - and now everything is forwarded to them. Though god knows what - we'd not sent the nvc anything yet! but everything is done thru london now. Just as my documents and ds230 are due to arrive in new jersey today! typical - though I wont complain if it gets me home bef...

  5. Your welcome my friend.thanks for all the advice and hope you get your NVC finished with and interview real soon.

  6. Wow! you have enough to make a feature length movie! lol I hope you get approved soon!

  7. i see what youre saying! Ive only used a webcam once i think and it freaked me out.i got bored talking to a colleague...was a little awkward lol. i see what you're saying about cctv tho lol

  8. Thats cool. Thanks for the info - Im inclined to stick with what we have - maybe a little supersticious lol. if i spend ££ on stuff here, I might be set for a long #### haul at the NVC! I did think about it getting a web cam and headset but we get by on the phone and gmail. thanks though i do appreciate your advice :)

  9. Thanks mate. Yeah, Im sure our time will come too. Been a rough year and all that but all will be fine. Hopefully the wife can speak to a supervisor at the NVC today and get things pushed a little bit.

  10. Exhausted, how much longer...........

  11. I bet you're so stoked to have it thru, thats so awesome. my wife called the number you gave me - the washington one - and she got transferred tot he nvc,and they told her the same thing, waiting on a decision from london for expedite.i told her to ask for a supervisor but she forgot.to be honest im losing hope really of a near interviewas we've not gone thru the nvc beginning stages yet...

  12. its so great you have the date through, and if you can affoird not going to the gp - i dont blame you. they're all fine - tetanus is the worst for me, some people it knocks about a bit, others are fine.

  13. I did but this pc doesnt have webcam or mic, so i can cope for the short term. the shots you need MMR and tetanus.and varicella accoriding to knightbridge. thats it. can u get them from your local dr - otherwise it costs 100 quid plus at knightsbridge. its a good job u got ur medical date, they arent allowing interview apptmnts now til medical has been done. new rule apparently!

  14. Im so please for you guys. 18th - thats awesome! You might be together for xmas then. thats made my day, excleent news congrats. Just called the dr's and confirmed all my jabs are up to date - luckily!

  15. Ok man, cheers for the heads up on stuff, much appreciated. catch up with you soon, all the best to you both

  16. Id definitely use that - if i could get privacy - Ive got my folks on my shuolder 24/7 so i get by. Just!

  17. Yep I hear ya brother!Im the eldest of 2, but my brother gets everything.i sold it all to move to CT in 2005/6 when we split up i came back to nothing.i get on ok with my dad but my mom and bro - never.my bro married a girl from stoke.nuff said! so once im gone i wont look back. yep, if we had different nationalities, we'd be sorted a lot quicker i guess!!

  18. i dont know if youve heard of it but telestunt is pretty good - when i remember to use it - 0844 861 8888 - then dial the us no. its about a penny a minute. it is really good, but calling the rip off line at the US EM. and the uscis were a nightmare! that wasnt cheap. oh and we had a so called immigration expert fill in our petition - for my wife cos she was ill. he made a right #### up o...

  19. we speak every day on the phone at night and i'll leave myself signed into gmail so she can log in and chat to me when shes up and about. phone bills been a bit horrific though - hopefully i'll be gone before the next one arrives lol

  20. No mate, staying with the folks - who i dont get on with so yes its different lol.Im just focussed on getting back.I started looking for work - and the job center said i can look for work in the US and it counts towards my so called benefits.but im set with a job when i get back anyway.Ive spoken to a couple of decent immigration lawyers, but wouldnt have one- i hear london dont like them too!

  21. Yeah, I was engaged, got the K1, got married, she was a bit nuts / violent so we split after 3 months and divorced. she had connections which unsettled me too - ie the mob in nyc. i thought when i got home there'd be a horses head in my bed. It was just a picture of my ex wife though!! Life changed in 2009 when i went to the US.In some ways im glad i came back cos theyre deporting...

  22. Thats tough. I wouldve got slammed too. I think I will if i get denied and have to file the waiver. It means more delay! If I can get an expedite pushed thru this week I'll have a lot more hope. You wouldnt think we were 'coalition / allies' when it comes to immigration would you?!

  23. i lost my job on the railway 5 years ago, did a bit of travelling and then spent about 3 years dealing with immigration - uscis, with my ex wife and the k1, and now my wife in NJ.its been a killer financially but i know theres nothing to keep me here. its horrific when you stop to think, i know. i dont know how ive managed to be honest. when i get back there i'll sleep for a month!

  24. My K1 interview when i was engaged to be married to my ex wife was easy. Ive no idea what they'll ask this time. I spoke to a lawyer - steven heller - he used to work for the uscis at the london embassy and he said my case should be ok with no problems as long as i can prove everything. I bet it really sucked when they denied you for a visitor visa the second time.

  25. me too.to be honest Im kind of looking forward to the medical and getting it out of the way.the weekends here are the worst and when its sunny here(a rarity) it drives me nuts cos the days are longer long days + weekends = longer time away from the wife and usa!
