How will I know when they have sent it or when embassy received it?

Medical has to be done week prior to interview? or it can be done anytime?

You need the interview invitation for the medical. They have to verify that you actually are already scheduled for an interview.

You get an email from the NVC or the embassy may contact you. I can't remember the details.

    Good Luck!! 😊

I just put my college address by mistake instead of the address of the place I worked before 10 years.  Education history and previous work history is on the same page. So they could wonder how comes its the same address for college and work. It was not even fancy job at that time. I was student and working as store front at that time.  While I was checking filled DS 260, i realized and I was like how did that happen.  So you think its a problem?  and necessary to inform NVC to change address or I can just mention it if they ask me at interview?

Well, some people actually do go to college and work for the college haha

I've gotten email on 22nd Jan, Documentary Qualified, I believe this means CC. What happens next? I used to see people talking about their case being transferred to embassy, is that happens next? or first Im scheduled interview and then the case gets sent to embassy?

Case gets sent to the embassy, then you get the interview appointment. Once you know when it is, schedule the medical at least a week or so before the interview. Some consulates/embassies let you schedule your interview yourself once they received everything from NVC

HI, Anyone have an idea what to do if you find out a mistake on DS 260?. I made a mistake on previous work history address, once your DS 260 is completed and signed you can not make any changes. Does anyone know what can be done to correct the address?  Call NVC

Honestly, if it is just a small mistake i would leave it as is and if they ask at the interview, just explain it.

Basically, we fill out all forms to the best of our knowledge (like the address history when some people moved God knows how many times after the age of 16(!)...😅

Thanks for comfirming. I emailed the embassy and they responded that they have scanned a copy and hence I can keep the hard copy.

Congrats on your visa! How do you track that it is ready for you to pick up? I have registered to pick up at aramex office but I wonder will they contact us when it is ready to pick up or I have to call them after status at ceac shows issued?

I am not sure. The US consulate said they would contact me once it was ready for pick up. They called me to let me know i could pick it up.

Had my interview today and all went well. The interviewer mentioned he will approve my visa and I should be able to get my passport back within a week.

When he returned me the stack of original document, he has included the medical report which they received. I only realized that when I got home. Is this normal?

Congrats!! Yes, i also got the medical documents when i picked up my visa 😊

Our case was complete at the NVC 12/28 and we received an interview appointment on 1/9. My husband's interview is 2/25. I know I should be excited because this what we have been waiting an entire year for but I'm only super anxious.

We've been through this process before and the embassy refused to issue a visa at the interview. (For those who are wondering, there were no red flags, no legal issues with the marriage, neither of us have been previously married, no criminal record and he answered all the questions correctly. We had tons of evidence of our relationship. We even lived together for 6 months right after we got married in his home country!) After all of 5 minutes of talking to him they simply refused to issue the visa. They never gave us any reason and they never notified us of our case being sent back to USCIS as they said they would. On the advice of an attorney, we simply refiled our petition and like last time, we have been approved at every step of the way. Now it's just this awful, anxiety inducing interview standing between us being able to be together. I wish our embassy allowed spouses to be there. I'd feel slightly better if I could just be there... We've been married for almost 3 years and I visit as regularly as time and money allows which is about twice a year. So, here's to hoping that having an attorney, lots of patience and perseverance, even more pictures and receipts of our time together pays off and the interviewer does the RIGHT thing and issues my husband his visa. I hope everyone else gets to be reunited w/ their families soon as well! All the best!

Oh my God! All the best for this time!!! 🙏😊

Picked up my passport this week with the visa in. My wife is flying over for a few days and then we leave together to go start our life in California in Feb. I am over the moon. To all those that are still waiting, hang on in there and if you need any advice then ping me a message and I will answer what I can. It was 10.5 long months but we are here finally. So relieved, so happy and can't wait for the future ahead in sunny California.

    Good luck all!

    Congratulations!!

    this is what I found

    - A signed Affidavit of Support from your petitioner and any additional financial sponsors who submitted a Form I-864 on behalf of your visa application.  Applicants may bring photocopies and scanned versions of signed Forms I-864 and associated documents. (Please note that the form must still be signed; typed names and electronic signatures will not be accepted.)

Oh really? Then i guess it should be ok if it's not the original.. Maybe call to make sure
