This reminds me of lance corporal Daniel Smith although different case and different situation. They were able to transfer him to the US Embassy and when the victim recanted the testimony he was able to leave the country as if nothing happened. No one know what took place but the victim left for the US within the same month and I believe is now living here. Go figure out.

You have 3 years to amend from filing of original tax return. In the past, I filed an amendments to 3 of my returns (different year) at the same time and was able to get around $5K for each return from the fed and around $1K from state. You can ask the help of an accountant to maximize the refund.

This. And as mentioned by yannix , you can not e-file. Need to mail the forms to the state comptrollers and IRS.

I got that email on 12/18. On 12/27 I got the interview letter.
I did not check the status online prior to receiving the IL. Today the status says:

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have received interview scheduling instructions.

Maybe your case is different. Call NVC again and ask them about the interview date or clarification.

We got an appointment letter via email. Usually they will send an appointment letter at least 1 month before the interview. Wait a few days and if there is no email call the NVC. Don't need an appointment for medical/physical exams at St Luke but they advise to register online.
