  1. Is the price for the medical still the same even if you don't need to get all the shots during the medical? And is it really considered fraud if I get these shots before the medical? That's what my doctor told me today.

    That makes absolutely no sense and it sounds like your doctor is just trying to get out of giving you shots :S

    It is not considered fraud whatsoever. The price for the medical depends on where you go and what shots you need.

  2. I submitted mine as date as yours and also paid and sent my AOS, after you said this I went to check on mine and it did the same thing. I states completed, but I can review it and submit it again. I submitted it again just in case, but I will call later today or maybe tomorrow to see if it has been accepted.

    Guys there is no need to go in and re-submit your DS-261 forms. It never says accepted, it will always just say completed. By re-submitting you might be delaying your IV fee. The only way you will know it is accepted is if you call to ask or when your IV fee is invoiced.

  3. If the amount does not match the amount on your i-864 form they will push it back to you. It would be better if you just filled out a new i-864 to send along with your letter of employment. Make sure that your occupation matches what is in the letter of employment as well. For example your letter could state you work as a special needs aide but in your i-864 you write employment as a tutor. They will not link those 2 things and push it back to you.

  4. Just got off the phone with NVC regarding the same issue, asking what the heck happened to my ENROLL request?

    They told me they STOPPED sending enrollment confirmation, and asked me to submit the documents electronically.

    Apparently they are experiencing a huge load of emails, and they have changed the flow of electronic processing. The agent told me that once they receive the documents electronically, it will "implicitly" trigger your case as Electronically Processed, even if you didn't send an enrollment request.

    so folks, go ahead and submit them documents. no need to wait anymore.

    cheers.

    Well that's only partly true.. I called yesterday and they told me the same. That I should just email in my documents and it will automatically be accepted for EP. BUT I also received a confirmation email this morning.. so they ARE still sending out the acceptance letters.

  5. :wow: Just when I'd completely given up on receiving my ENROLL acceptance email I get it this morning! So I sent my email on April 18 and got the confirmation on May 21, that is more than 30 days -.- This is what they sent me:

    Dear Sir/Madam:

    The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: MTLXXXXXXXXXX filed by PETITIONER'S NAME on behalf of BENEFICIARY'S NAME.

    Reminder all documents and forms should only be sent toNVCElectronic@state.gov.

    This case is now enrolled in the Electronic Processing Program.

    The additional email addresses submitted with the enrollment email were added to our records.

    Please note that all forms and documents that we request and require in the future must be scanned copies of the originals. The applicant must present all original forms and documents to the consular officer at their visa interview. Failure to present the required originals at the visa interview will result in a denial or delay in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant.

    We received the Affidavit of Support Processing Fee payment(s) for this case. You must now download and complete the Affidavit of Support form(s). Please visit the following website to download the appropriate Affidavit of Support form(s) and instructions:

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html

    The next step for your case is Form DS-260. This is an online Immigrant Visa Application form. You can access it at ceac.state.gov.

    Everyone on your case who wants to travel to the United States should complete this form. They should also send their civil documents to the National Visa Center so we can review them.

    You can learn more about how to apply for a visa at the web page below.

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

    IMPORTANT:

    Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

    As this case is processing electronically, all forms and documents must be sent via email as scanned attachments to NVCElectronic@state.gov. Sending physical documents to the NVC will delay the processing of your case.

    Case Number: MTLXXXXXXXXXX

  6. CanGirl Is the DS-260 not electronically sent like the DS-261? If so why in heavens name do you have a cover or bar code for it? Just curious at this point. :)(F)(L)(F)

    Well it's not exactly a cover page but this is what it looks like. It's not needed for anything, meaning you don't have to send it in to the NVC. It's just a confirmation page to show that you submitted the DS-260 online. You can print it out to bring to the interview to prove that your DS-260 was completed electronically if you want.

  7. I am waiting for my long birth certificate, thanks to VJ I realized I had the short version and I don't want a checklist. Hopefully I will get it this week and my lawyer will send also IV package and the DS-260. I know how hard is when you have to count on others, I am waiting from my brother to send me the birth certificate. I do understand you and I know how frustrating is. Maybe will meet at the interview in Montreal ;) . Where do you live?

    Thank you I know this is a frustrating and trying process for all of us. We are all going through this together and I appreciate your comments so much. I try to talk about this with friends and family but they don't seem to understand anything that we go through. I'm so grateful to have the VJ fam on my side.

    That would be wonderful if we met up in Montreal! It would be nice to have someone to talk to while we wait for our interview. I live in the suburbs just outside of Toronto.

  8. when you log in online with your case number and invoice number, there is an option at the bottom which says "print cover sheet"

    I did do that for my AOS, but didn't realize there has to be one for IV documents also. Did you attach yours?

    Yes you need to include the IV cover sheet that is printed from the receipt page. I don't know what will happen with your documents if you didn't include it. You did include the DS-260 one and that has the case number on it so they should be able to match it up with your file. Praying that they are able to match it up for you.

  9. Many times it didn't work for me google voice and then I used Skype and it worked. Who knows why, I am waiting for you to get your enroll email ( I am watching you , LOL)

    I've given up on waiting for acceptance email, I don't know if it's a problem with the information I provided in the initial email or something else but they don't seem to have a record of it. I'm just going to email my documents in when they are ready to go. (Problems with joint sponsors and petitioners documents - don't ask :unsure: )

  10. We're also going on vacation and obviously vacations cost money, hence doing it in June.

    I may be wrong but I didn't think that you were allowed to leave the country before you file for AOS on K-1.

    "Note: A K-1 Visa holder can enter the United States only one time with this visa. Upon entry, the K-1 visa is cancelled, and an Electronic I-94 is issued upon entry and becomes the controlling document. If the K-1 entrant leaves the U.S. before marriage to the original petitioner, re-entry into the U.S. might not be allowed without a new visa. Also, if the K-1 entrant has applied for and is waiting on approval of an Adjustment of Status petition, the K-1 entrant should not leave the U.S. without also having applied for and received approved Advance Parole -- doing so could result in the inability to re-enter the U.S., and it indicates abandonment of the petition for Adjustment of Status. (Note that even approved Advance Parole does not guarantee re-entry into the U.S.)"

  11. There is no way for us to know the answer to your question. It is up to the CO on what is acceptable.

    I have researched this myself and found that most CO will ask for the most recent tax transcript or full tax return filed with IRS. If you don't have it at the time of interview they will put you on AP until they get the documents requested. The reason for this is that they can't verify income until it has been filed with the IRS.

  12. I sent my EROLL email on April 21st. Still no responce either. I hope you post when you get something because I'm 3 days behind you. I have called and asked for a supervisor but he told me they can not see anything on the EP process just that he knew it was taking a month. This was a week ago. I have read alot of people are having problems getting thru on the phones the last few days. Almost 15 months now for us with the USCIS and now Emails that take a month at the NVC. Emails that take a month? Two months both ways? It is hard to deal with.

    Wow I finally got through by calling on my landline. Good thing my parents have free long distance lol

    I talked to Rose and she said that yes emails are taking 30 days to be looked at and she had no record of my ENROLL email.

    She told me to just start sending in my documents and I will be automatically be enrolled when they get to them. Sounds good I'm not about to argue with that.

  13. I've never sent the enroll email, but they had my email in their system. I guess they got it from USCIS package.

    ENROLL is only for electronic processing. Which means for certain countries it is mandatory or optional to send documents through email to NVC.

    It has nothing to do with them sending you information.

    EDIT: OOPS I made a mistake, i meant to say through email.. corrected that above lol

  14. Asked the same Q few hours ago. Anybody?

    I did a search in the top right and this is what I found out:

    CMR = Consolidated Mail Room

    DR = Document Review

    I'm not sure if it is true or made up but that seems to be what everyone thinks.

    Either way it is going to the same place, NVC and will find its way to the correct person.

    I do know that CMR is for initial package and DR is for RFE/checklist items.

  15. Just got my NVC case number today (or yesterday, not sure. Didn't have it last Friday either way). Anyway, I got the case number and IIN number. My attorney has been notified as well. I just sent the enroll e-mail but I've been hearing that it takes awhile for them to even get around to enrolling you -_- Anyway, anyone have a recent example to go off of?

    We are an MTL beneficiary, so I sent the "ENROLL MTLXXXXXXXXX" e-mail to the NVCElectronic e-mail and received the following response:

    This email is an auto response. Please do not respond.

    Dear Sir or Madam,

    This email address collects scanned forms and documents ONLY. We do not respond to inquiries from this email. If you submitted scanned forms and documents, we will send you more instructions as soon as we review your case.

    If you did not submit scanned forms or documents, we will delete your email. If you have a question about your case, please contact us by email or phone.

    Be sure to include the following information with each inquiry:

    * Your case number;

    * The Principal applicant's name and date of birth;

    * The Petitioner's name; and

    * If your visa petition is employment-based, the employer's company or organization name.

    Email: nvcinquiry@state.gov

    Type your case number in the subject line and ask about only one case per email.

    Phone: (603) 334-0700

    Customer Service Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight (Eastern Time).

    This ENROLL process is driving me crazy, I sent my email on April 18 and I still haven't gotten the acceptance email from them.

    I've tried calling all day yesterday and all day today and I can't seem to get through either. I don't know if it's google voice that is the problem or something else. But I've called them in the past using google voice and it seemed to work fine then. I'm about sick of the NVC and their outdated methods.

  16. Has anyone else have issues calling in? I'm calling daily during work hours and it's NOT going through at all. Always busy.

    Try calling during off-peak hours 7am-10am and 10pm-midnight Eastern time

    Mondays are usually a bad day to call, I was redialing for over 3 hours trying to get in yesterday and I had to give up. This was from 8:30 pm - midnight.

    It can be extremely frustrating but keep trying and eventually you will get through

  17. I'm starting to get worried about my EP enroll email. I sent it on April 18 and I still have not received a confirmation. Today is May 19. They say it takes 30 days for email to be read. Is that 30 business days or 30 regular days? Do you think I should call and get a supervisor to check on it? I'm scared they will tell me no and that I have to wait longer.

    Problem is when I sent it I wrote that my surname was the same as my husband's but in their records it is still my maiden name. Does that mean I have to send my ENROLL email again with my maiden name instead? I should probably just call NVC and ask. I may have just cost myself 30 days :(

  18. :huh: Well Tod the brilliant customer service rep at NVC told me that they don't except sponsors that are on Social Security, so I asked for a supervisor who was semi nasty and said they don't adjudicate at NVC and that all I have to do is have parents write a letter stating they don't have to file taxes and why. Well, we are going to make sure we have enough adding property, CD's etc. I wish it wasn't all in the hands of the Embassy counselors. I need all your prayers so I can have my husband home and I can finally live a normal life with out so much stress. :( Thank you for letting me vent. (F)(L)(F)

    Can you try to get someone else to be a joint sponsor? Sister, brother, neighbour, friend, co-worker? It won't look good that your joint sponsor is on social security. In the CO's mind that just makes it more likely that the beneficiary ends up being a public charge. Sorry you are struggling with this, best of luck to you.

  19. One more time.. before I send this AOS..

    My joint sponsor files his taxes with his wife.. But I'm just using him not her.. (I don't think she's aware of this whole situation.. he didn't want to tell her)

    Will I get a checklist if I only send in his info?? Because he makes more than enough.. I don't want to get a checklist saying she has to file a I-864a :no:

    Just to be safe I would suggest he gets an employment letter that clearly states his position, his annual income and how long he has worked there/how long he will continue the job (if the company allows that). Also include 6 months of paystubs from his work (if you can) and his W2's to prove that he does make enough. Along with the tax transcripts that should be enough to get you by hopefully. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!
