    Yes, did you file an Advisory Opinion? My friend got "subject to 212(e) requirement" printed on her visa, and is actually not subject to it.
    Original DS-2019 says not subject, and the Advisory Opinion explained the mistake.

    OP: Your wife needs to correct her card. As appalling as it may seem, the "new year problem" happens more frequently than it should.
    Send in a I-90 with no fee based on USCIS error.
    In the meantime, make an INFOPASS appointment and get a I-551 stamp in her passport. Then she can travel freely while her updated GC is processing.
