Here is what I find rather disturbing:
As a consequence of the title of your thread, one might also have said:
Heterosexuality is normal because it is observed in the animal kingdom. Well, rape exists in the animal kingdom too. Are civil rights for rapists next?
Bathing is normal because it is observed in the animal kingdom. Well, rape exists in the animal kingdom too. Are civil rights for rapists next?
Swimming is normal because it is observed in the animal kingdom. Well, rape exists in the animal kingdom too. Are civil rights for rapists next?
Sleeping is normal because it is observed in the animal kingdom. Well, rape exists in the animal kingdom too. Are civil rights for rapists next?
Eating is normal because it is observed in the animal kingdom. Well, rape exists in the animal kingdom too. Are civil rights for rapists next?
As you can see, the first and second clauses cannot be presented in the form of a corollary. That one can't see that is indeed, rather uncomfortable.

And your inability to form cohesive arguments and become defensive and cry "bully" is exactly what opponents of human equality do when confronted about their own ignorance
Also, when you compare two things, as you did, you are assuming that they are similar enough to be compared.

I just want to go on record here by saying this entire argument/point is ridiculous. Trying to compare human thinking to seal thinking is just dumb. Homosexuality in the animal kingdom is not a quick jump to rape and brutality. Its like saying monkeys eat bananas so its ok for humans to eat bananas and then saying, well no you shouldn't because they also eat poo. If you eat bananas, why not eat poo? Dumb argument.

As everyone else said, the key word is consent.
If to people both want to have sex with each other, is there a reason to stop them? The only answers I have heard are things like "it's not natural," "God doesn't like it," and "it's against our tradition."
Although one can point out homosexuality in the animal world as proof that it is natural, there are lots of things people do that are not natural, but they are allowed to do. Piercing their ears, making their teeth look like fangs, splitting their tongues, circumcision, and many other things are not natural, but are perfectly allowed.
As for the "God doesn't like it" argument, there are lots of things that gods don't like, depending on the god, and the religion. The separation of church and state should mean that there are no laws based on solely religious purposes. Perhaps a religion will come along which requires homosexual activity and gay marriage... should someone who believes in such a religion not be allowed to practice it, despite freedom of religion?
As for the tradition argument, there is no one tradition in the United States. Tradition varies based on region, and being a country of immigrants, tradition varies based on household.
Let people do what they want in their bedroom. As long as they aren't harming anyone, why should it matter?

Have you looked at your timeline? It predicts petition approval around 1- Sept. Then your file goes from USCIS to the Dept of State via the NVC. There you get a new Dept of State case number starting with LND (for London). Then it goes to the embassy. The clinic won't even allow you to make a medical appointment until you have received your LNDXXXXXXXX case number. Also don't be confused by what K1s from other countries post because each consulate has their own way of doing the medical, sending forms, getting an interview.

The "I have it worse than you" argument is getting a bit tiring. This situation isn't ideal for anyone. Personal constraints are just as valid as legal constraints when they restrict visits. It's not a competition to see who the system screwed the hardest.

They would have to find their own way into the country, of course. If someone is motivated to get the money for a plane ticket, they can find a way.
Your other points regarding the welfare system do pose a challenge, and I would need a lot more time and dedication to figure out a solution to that. I'd be tempted to say that welfare shouldn't cover them unless they established that they are not a leech by holding a job, etc. The influx of immigration we would get would lead to larger non-English-speaking communities, in which non-English-speaking jobs could be found. Actually, I never use English at work, we only use Japanese, because we cater to the Japanese community.
I know that in Cambodia, it's possible to just buy a visa to live and work there. Basically, anyone who wants to move to Cambodia, can. Although Cambodia has many problems and is not an ideal place to live for many people, I do see a lot of beauty in the fact that if I couldn't get a Mongolian visa and my fiancee couldn't get an American visa, there's always Cambodia.
Yes. It will only happen in la la land. I am entirely sure it won't happen in reality. It's just my opinion that it should.
I don't think that the economical and political problems that it would lead to would be permanent. I think that in the short term, it would absolutely be hard. In the long term, though, I think people would be happier as a whole. It could be said that the more problems America has economically, the fewer people would even want to move there. As I said, though, I'm sure it will not happen, at least in my life time.

I'm very willing to admit that the majority of Americans disagree with me, and I know that my opinion is nowhere near mainstream.
But, if you knew me, you would know that I have lead a really unique life, been many places, and done many things, and that my opinion isn't just being pulled out of my butt. As someone who had a nearly-impossible dream, and was able to achieve it, I want for all of humanity to have the freedom to live life in the way they see it best for them, and if that is going to America, I don't want to stand in their way -- I want to welcome them with open arms.
I see no difference between Americans and non-Americans, and I respect all of their wishes equally.

No... I'm thinking worldwide, and I'd welcome anyone from any country into the U.S. Visa overstayers, non-inspected Latin Americans, anyone who wants to come, or wants to stay, I think, should be able to, provided they are not dangerous.

When I was 15 I broke the law by staying outside after 10:00pm, our town's curfew for anyone under age 16. I also drank underage in college. How badly have I damaged my moral character? Next thing you know I'll be dealing drugs to the local children.
And did you go to school? Cheating was as rampant as the hormones in most I've seen or heard of.

Why not start with unemployment benefits which mean that people can make more money out of work than they can working?
Why not structure benefits so that working will never leave someone out of pocket, when compared to not working?

we did things the right way and we have the security of that fact. others do not. doesn't mean they shouldn't have a path to citizenship. anyone here knows the paths to citizenship are very, very, limited.
