They won't listen. Jesus had better things to talk about, yet they still focus on something he didn't talk about at all.

Oppressive matriarchy? If such a thing exists [it doesn't] I'd happily be guilty as charged.
Frankly if in this day and age you find women's rights and gender equality to be immasculating then too damn bad for you.

About 2 weeks ago, we had to sit and watch "The Invisible War", which was soley about sexual assault and rape within the military. There was an excerpt from the movie that said when the women tried to file suit against the government, they were told rape is an occupational hazard they had to deal with. Made me sick.

A recent survey by the Association for Legal Career Professionals found that more than 93 percent of partners in law firms are white and nearly 80 percent are men.
But don't worry, sexism and racism are just things of the past.

You didn't even address the problem here. You can't argue that racism doesn't exist by saying "but look at these two cases where whites are not the majority!11!!!".
Also, it's not racist that the percentages are like that. Both organizations are rare cases where minorities have found great success. The NFL used to be primarily white. The NBA used to be more white (go back to the 1970s and take a look). Both organizations rely on athletic ability and have long ago passed anti-discriminatory regulations that have allowed for people of color to participate and, in both cases, dominate. Bear in mind the other factors involved in this. Basketball is regarded as an inner-city, low-cost, sport - which allows more people, particularly minorities who find themselves in such economic and social demographics, to participate. You'll see more people of color in basketball, for example, than in ice hockey - a sport that requires a specific arena, space and a lot of money.
It is not racist that the demographics of the NBA and NFL are like that - but it does reflect racist problems in societies like economic disparity between people of color and whites.

Christie may be a good Republican and Conservative, but he's not a good GOP member. How dare he put state and country ahead of his GOP counterparts?
I enjoy watching Christie. Some things I agree with, some things I don't, but I respect his willingness to stray from party lines when he feels it's best for his constituents to do so.

BaBamSam got a reaction from Harpa Timsah in are teachers covered by freedom of speech?
Even if they are covered under the first amendment (which they aren't wholly due to codes of conduct and school regulations, etc.), that does not allow them to say anything without repercussion. Freedom of speech allows people to say anything they want and not risk imprisonment, but it does not shield them from workplace disciplinary procedures. Raising this concern with the principal will probably lead to an interview with the teacher and may lead to suspension, further investigation, or firing.
While it would be a slam dunk law suit, I applaud your comment that suing would not solve the problem. This problem can, and should, be rectified by working with the administration.

My point is that I don't understand the qualification to begin with and don't think it's a necessary qualification. Unlike the height requirement on a roller coaster that is to protect people from flying out and getting injured/killed, I just see the "born in America" qualification as outdated and unnecessary. Personal opinion there.
Also, I was referring to all of the issues with previous candidates born outside the US but on a base, etc., when I was talking about it being used to discredit. It's a grey area even in the Constitution so I don't understand all the attacks based around it.

I don't think it needs to be brought to school, but the morning after pill is not always one pill. Some brands are two pills that you take 12 hours apart.

I work in the film/television industry so maybe I can offer some insight into this for you.
For one, Sharp Entertainment is a legitimate production company in New York. You can check out their IMDB to verify.
Second, you will not sign a contract unless they select you. If you ask for one, they will probably just stop talking to you right then and there. They will not be able to use any of your images/information/voice on television without you signing a release first - so you are protected already.
Here's what they are going to be doing: They will be emailing thousands of people applying for the K-1. They will most likely get hundreds of responses. They will set up Skype interviews with each partner in the relationship for a preliminary interview process. If they like you after prelims, they will set up another Skype interview. If they still like you, your tapes and information will be forwarded along to the producers in charge of selecting participants. If you are selected, you will then be offered a contract.
Reality TV contracts are notorious for giving the participants no freedom, so be prepared for that. Often times, compensation is weirdly applied (a recent contract for a big singing competition show, for example, said the prize money of $1million would be distributed over 25 years or some weird amount of time). You will be giving up a lot of privacy and control over how you're represented/portrayed.
Long story short, if you want to be on a reality show then pursue it and maybe they'll select you. Good luck if you choose to!
