  1. you only have to proved the 10 year residency if its required.

    something about after the interview?

i may be mistaken...but i would figure if you remember the address and their relationship to you than that would suffice.

if you dont have a number for them they can't blame you since you no longer stay in contact with them.

  2. So I just received my NOA1 today and visajourney has projected an early August NOA2 date for the Vermont Service Center. I'm sure I'm just being impatient...but this wait is going to kill me. How correct are these projection dates, and is there anything at all that one can do to speed it up? Probably a hopeless case, but I'm just wondering. If anyone has any stories about their Vermont Service Center experience, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Some people who filed in December were already approved...so there could still be hope :D

    but patience is a virtue.

    you will be okay.

the sun will still rise in the morning ;)

  3. December filler!! Approved already. Im hoping soo. For u guys

Not enough time for me to get my i-134 forms filled out and tax transcripts. I would love for an early approval but if that happened I'd probably have a heart attack and stressed out so bad that I may be missing something...in a rush to turn in the paperwork and then indeed get RFE cause I forgot something. Yep yep. I would already see it...

    *breathe*

  4. have fun! I wish I could go :(

Still waiting on NOA1 approval...filed in October 2012.

Going back in late Feruary for a month....Would be nice to meet someone else there. Even a first timer....maybe someon who hasn't been there yet, but has a potential partner there....might be something I could help You know something about them.

I will post this again every week or so until then.

PM me or respond to the thread.

Thank God for Skype and Yahoo Messenger...haha... But I will See he again in july or sooner...I going to go to be with her for here interview..

She wanted me to come back to fly here with here when she gets her visa... I dont have the moneyfor both so she had a choice of me there To hold her hand for the interview or hold her hand on the plan...She chose interview....

    God Bless All

Welcome! Your fiancee wants you there for interview...mine wants me there when he comes over lol.

Of course I hear dealing with the HCMC office they tend to split the couples and interview...may be more stressful for us.

I am hoping my fiance will be here in the states before Christmas...actually Thanksgiving. I need a date to my cousin's wedding in November. lol

I missed this thread. December filer as well. Hoping the CSC doesn't bog down too horribly much.

    Welcome to the support group!!!

If it makes you feel any better VSC is behind so if you get a response before me, I'll know my time is soon to come! :D

Awwwe i see youve only met him once. In my case we've lived together 2 yesrs before. I lived in honduras for a while and ive known him since i was 9 so moving back without him sucks :( but its for the better...

    Yep...only once.

But thanks to modern technology I'm able to be "there" :)

  6. Plus I noticed like we dont really fight but we get kinda angry sometimes, but really just very small things, not for important things but for things like not calling earlier or just kid stuff like that but I hate it cuz even tho we get over it soo fast, it kinda feels like we dont at the same time cuz Im not with him to hug or even just be happy with him again...anyone else feel that?

OMG! I know the feeling! It's one of those things because we are so far from one another EVERY LITTLE THING makes a difference...BUT like I said before, being this far from him makes me get to know him because we are FORCED to communicate with one another.

On another note...3 months ago EXACTLY I took a plane trip to Vietnam. Finally got to meet my future husband! Too bad that damn month went by so fast :(

  7. It'll be exactly 3 months ago that I first saw my fiance for the first time in person...and It's been 2 months since I've seen him. I was planning on going back with my FIL in March, but I may just wait till he gets the visa and go to bring him over. I wanted to go and spend some time with him, but for financial reasons it's better I stay here and do my work and get things ready for him here. I miss him :crying:

  8. i would go with ups or fedex as well just because you can track it once it hits VN. USPS cant track it once it gets to VN.

I personally havent sent anything UPS or fedex but I'm gonna assume that they attempt to deliver to the house...or the recipient can pick up at local office.

  9. was that they date they received it? or the date on ur NOA1? The date you would put for NOA1 would be the receive date. Not the notice ;)

good news: you've waited a month since NOA1!

bad news: you got a longer wait

Great news: you have us here at the support group

i'm not gonna list worst news because I'm looking at the brightside

    Yes, I got my NOA1.

    Notice Date: December 18, 2012

above post goes with this one...oops sorry!

  10. I travelled to VN last summer and carried 4 iPhones. I didn't put them in suitcases but hide them all in my pockets as they only scanned my suitcases when arrived HCMC. Went smoothhhh haha

when i went back in october...

i had one and my laptop.

my daughter had an ipad 1 and laptop.

my parents each had like 3-4 on them...physically. not in the suitcase.

dont put in suitcase..strap it to your body. my mom had some nintendo DS in the suitcases and they wanted $$$ from her.

or they had her claim what she brought in...my mom advise them what if she wanted to leave it for family or IF we ran out of money and we sold it (we were there for a month). the lady said don't claim anything...mom had to slip her about $90

  11. The Consulate is more concerned with your current income, so give them the employment letter and you should be fine if the annual is $28,813 or above.

    Thank you much :D

I'm assuming if anything has changed with employment to put it on an updated g325a form for the interview? Would my fiance need an updated one as well if he has employment change?

  12. I know how you feel. I brought back our year old son. Every time i have to do laundry or grovery shopping by myself with the baby sucks and makes me feel like the wait is so long. Christmas was just the baby and us. Sometimes i feel the babu amisses his father also well at the beginning he cried alot at night :(.

We took this route thinking it was faster than getting married out there.....blah

from what i heard K-1 gets us together quicker...but the process continues AFTER they are with us.

If you're married (i think that's CR1...may be mistaken) the waiting is longer, but once they are with us...there's no additional things needed to be done. (ie, adjustment of status) everything is done upfront already pretty much. Either way there's a wait with both. lol we just need to be patient ;)

  13. Haha I may just have to start walking and running...cuz I'm beginning to become an emmotional wreck :( for the first 5 months i was back in the states I was fine, then we filed, now one month later I find myself crying easily and just plain missing my fiancé so much I sometimes just say please just buy my ticket and let's live there I'm tired of this! But I know we're better off here..

And now guys, people are saying Obamas new dream act thing is delaying our approvals for noa2 by 2 months...now their saying its getting doubled! 10 months for noa2!! Please you guys tell me it's not so :((

The way I see it with or without Obama's dream act we were waiting already. Take this time to know your fiance better. It's going to force us to communicate with one another. I dont see any harm in that. It can be frustrating yes...if we are lucky enough to be with our loved ones during this time, than we will cherish that much more because we know that it's a long wait. No one said this was an easy process...but hell a long distance relationship is never easy.

It's hard when the long cold night comes and you just want to snuggle up and you look, and no one is there.

Just remember you are not the only one. Not only that but be lucky we have someone who is waiting to be with us again.

That's what we are all here for. Stop with the stupid "I've been waiting xxx" hell...be lucky you are waiting. Some people who want to wait may not be able to cause they can't afford it yet. We are all here to push through and know when we reach the end...it will all be well worth it. No one said it was going to be easy but I know for a fact that when it's done and over with...It wouldn't matter all the pain and suffering and frustration I went through for it. All that will matter at that point is he's going to be by my side.

Think of it this way...no matter how long it takes...better late than never. We are lucky...ours wait is roughly a year, give or take some cases...trying to sponsor a family member can take up to 10 years. My dad is sponsoring my older sister...we got NOA1 in 2008...they are only currently processing applications from 2005...we actually aren't that bad compared to other petitions. Think of the bright side instead of all the negative. It may help with the waiting process.

  14. My fiancee's address was long also so I wrote under the line. You only need employment letter from your latest job. Your last job income should be on your w2. If you are currently working 2 jobs then you do need letters from both companies.

I was typing it on the computer but to make it easier on myself I think I'm just gonna print it out and hand write the information.

  15. haha loom knitting..so cheap and easy..not even knitting really :P

Yea but like i said regular knitting was not easy for me :(

but on the upside...i loomed out a scarf in no time with that baby!

Im working out doing insanity...trying to loose weight and tone up but thats 60 days...lol i think im gonna paint my apartment next....

i tried that too! I ran 2 miles for two days...then I quit. Couldnt keep up with the food restrictions :( I love food too much! lol
