  1. Hello All,

Completing the AOS packet and have a few very quick clarifying questions I hope someone can answer.

    1-485 Form:

    • What is the non-immigration visa number? Is this the number in red on the right hand side of the K1 visa or the A number?
    • What is the correct expiration date? Is this the date at the top right hand side of the 1-94 that says expiration or the admit until date?
    1-864
    • Does the USC (female) use new married name or previous name prior to marriage listed on all immigration and required documentation such as employment letter and tax transcripts?

    1-131

    • For the separate sheet required to explain how he qualifies for advanced parole, do we say K1 visa? Is that enough or do we need more?

    Thank you very much!

    I-485

Red number on the visa is the visa number.

Expiration date is in regards to i-94

    I-864

Not sure for usc female but i dont think it matter. Marriage certificate is a proof of her name change or if she doesnt change her name its fine too.

    I-131

You do not need to provide separate sheet to explain how you qualify because you're adjusting from k1.

  2. Yep, you can do it yourself as per many posts here and http://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing .

  3. They received my application september 27, 2013 and got my potential interview waiver last jan 21, 2014. Is there anyone here who got a letter too and still waiting? Im so tired of waiting

i am waiting, got my letter in December (noa1 10 sept). Its kind of annoying that some who recevied waiver letter much later already got their cards.

Just noticed you're also from Orlando!

  4. I went through Atlanta, with ma US fiance. We went through citizen line (long line but not as long as tourist) but after checking my husband and taking my biometrics we were sent over to the "Tripod" area. The paperwork was handed to the officer and we were waiting for about 20 min before being seen. I was them told we have 90 days to get married and that was it.

  5. Thank-you Agnes. I realize my post sounded whiny (wanting to pack it all in)- I didn't mean that truly. I'm just having a low day. sad.png Do you think I can drive on my U.K license for now?

It didn't sound like that at all. Sorry you have a low day! Not sure about if you can or cannot drive, i didn't have dl before and only got learners permit after getting ead and changing my name on ssn :-)
