Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay

    your visa.

    [J9P 12/12/2012]

I got the same, I'm assuming its a false checklist, since i had submitted my IV packet over a week ago.

  4. Got an email from NVC today:

"The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case. The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following

    website for instructions:"

Is it safe to assume this is a false checklist? I've submitted my IV packet over a week ago.

  5. I have done everything (I am afraid maybe too much). I have done 3 service requests (including one e-request), spoken with 2nd tier officers (they offer only misinformation and are not helpful at all). I have contacted my congressman and Senator's office (3 weeks ago my congressman's office said my case is with an adjudicator and I should hear something within 30 days! one more week to go). I have contacted the Ombudsman (no replies). I even emailed the director of USCIS which he kindly replied saying he will give to his assistant to look into. I received an email from his assistant that he will look into it but have not received any responses.

So short of contacting the President, I have done everything under the sun. At this point only God Almighty can help me...Thy Will be done!

It odd that you didn't get a reply from Ombudsman.. did you fill out this form?:

    https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx

When i contacted ombudsman, took they replied to me within 24 hours and checked on my case within 3-5 business days, they told me to wait it was within normal processing time.

Additionally, i did contact my senators (both of them) and they both got the same "30 days" reply. My senator's office told me to let them know in 30 days if i don't hear anything, I sure the same option will be available to you. I got approval, 14 days after this help, and the next day after service request #2 from teir 2, first was with teir 1.

Contact with director is good, give it another week and then you can have your congressman look into it again for you. Hope this helps...

  7. You need to meet the requirements set by the Cambodian government:

Income of at least USD$2500 per month.

    employment letter

background check (you can get this from police, FBI)

documents stating you're single and legally eligible to get married

you'll need to do a medical

Most importantly, you need approval from the US gov't. This is done at the US embassy in PP. There is a fee of USD$100 for this document, only cash is accepted.

This is what i recalled getting for my marriage back in march. Hope this helps!

  8. almost after one month of my NOA2, i got a mail from NVC saying

"The NVC recently received this petition. The appropriate agent (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will receive instructions for the further processing of this petition within 6 to 8 weeks"

can someone tell me, why its taking so much time in my case, i see others getting mails so promptly... now how soon i expect to get mail for my NVC case number DS 3032 and other things. i am even calling them daily same response i get on phones wait for 15 days etc types

Read the first post on this thread, it tells you how to get thru NVC quickly. Most VJers with fast processing time are using the shortcuts provided in the post, I myself are using these shortcuts. I'm yet to receive a snail mail (post mail) from NVC, all communications I had with NVC was via email. Hope this helps!

  9. In this entire process, there's actually absolutely ZERO reason to call NVC. None. Nada. The only reason it's suggested to call them is so you stay on top of things. You won't know your case is complete until an interview date is assigned if you don't call. Only those doing EP and a rare handful of those not get the case complete emails. There's no way to get a faster interview assigned unless you expedite. So, to sum up, if you don't care about not knowing when things happen when they happen, then sit back, and do something else.

    Thanks Saylin!

  10. Yes, I am a US citizen. I have my parents' consent and I haven't read anything about not being able to file the petition just because I'm 17. That's not my problem, I'm solely interested in whether or not my employment will be sufficient or if I can get a co-sponsor or anything of the sort.

You are young... very young.... you need to educate yourself fully on the process. Below are some links to help answer your questions in quotes.
