I think it depends on your consulate. Some already started scheduling for Feb and some still have slots open for jan. Doesn't look like anyone has been scheduled since about 2 weeks ago...

Waiting is not the problem. Not knowing the interview date is difficult. As I'm planning on going to the interview with my wife. it becomes difficult to plan my work accordingly. Laura, let's hope we're one of those people that gets an "early date"

Seems like Cambodia is one of those that takes forever to schedule. According to their embassy's website it seems as if they are scheduling every week because the "appointment schedule" is updated every week. Seems like they schedule based on PD, cause they have appointments for March. Of course very few for feb and march.

They were closed yesterday, due to the snowstorm.

They will be closed on 1/1/13.

I just got off the phone with them. They are not closed today and they said they are only off on Tuesday.

So... find one who meets the poverty guidelines. Does your USC petitioner work at all? Or have any assets or income? If the income requirements can't be met either by your petitioner (main sponsor) or co-sponsor then you're going to be refused the visa under Section 212(a)(4) which prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone likely to become a public charge.

I find these sort of posts fishy. Seems like you know what your problem is and what is required to solve that problem. Are you insinuating in your post that you are looking for a co-sponsor on this forum? If so, all I have to say is

totally disagree with you on that , back then we did not even know if we will get NO2 approval or RFE or what , now its just a matter of time and no more paperwork to do at this point

waiting for an interview date is like waiting for NOA2.... such a painful wait....

look on the bright side, you got some attention to your case and they said "Your file is with an adjudicator at the Vermont Service Center". You can always call/email and let them know that your PD date is incorrect.

Packet 3 is for K1 visa applicants. Ignore it. Packet 4 is the interview letter.

The wait varies based on where your application is filed. VSC is backlogged and its been taken over 7 months to be approved. Since you're filed after august 15, your will be forward to NBC and then to a local office. You should search the timelines to get a better idea... .

I'm looking at the timeline. what is: packet 3? and packet 4?. I know my wife has to do the medical before the interview, is that one of these packets?
